Lulu comes out of the Metro Court boutique and runs into Carly. The cousins give each other a big hug and Carly immediately asks her how things are going at Crimson. Lulu says that she's sorry, but she can't discuss that with her. Carly says that's okay, but all she wants to know is what Kate's wearing tonight. Jax shows up behind her and says, "Nice try Carly."
Love Is An Illusion!
At home, Carly tells Trevor they want the same thing – Kate out of the picture! She says if they work together they can accomplish that.
Later, Carly meets with Nikolas at the Metro Court. She tells him she is done with Jax – for good this time! Nikolas says it is about time as Carly goes on about Jax sleeping with Kate. She says Nik has to help her make both of them pay! They sit down and Carly suggests that Diane will help them tie up Jax's development of the island. Nikolas doesn't want to get involved. Carly goes on and on about how Kate has been after Jax for months and that Jax knew it and slept with her to get back at Carly. Nikolas says he can see that Carly still loves Jax and asks how far she is really willing to go. She says she is going to start by taking apart Crimson but Nik again says he isn't sure he is interested in the plan. Carly reminds him that Jax took over Nikolas' home and by taking down Crimson they'll be taking away Jax's home. Nadine calls, upset, and says they have to postpone the wedding! He asks if she is okay. "I don't think so," she says.
Carly Vows to Ruin Kate.
Over at Kate's house, Carly opts to use a bucket of ice water instead of her gun to separate Jax and Kate. (But it's too late, they've already had sex.) Carly asks Jax if he got what he needed by sleeping with Kate. She yells at them both and finally ends by promising Connie that she will destroy her.
Carly goes straight to Trevor and starts fishing about his past with Connie. When Trevor realizes what's going on, he asks why he would help her trash someone he once loved? Carly says that Kate left high-heel prints on his back and together they can get even with her. Trevor gets short with her and says that he's not going to be her instrument for getting even.
If Robin Flapped Her Wings In China...
Later, Patrick finds himself at Jake's and hooks up with Carly after a quick game of pool. Robin, Lainey and Kelly are slamming tequila and scoffing at his smooth moves.
Anthony Tosses the Bride Away.
Olivia tries to dodge Carly's question about how she feels about Sonny. Carly smiles from her post at Jake's bar to say that her question has just been answered. She lets Olivia off the hook and laments over which is worse, Sonny with Claudia or Kate. They decide to flip a coin to see who has to go try to talk him out of marrying Claudia.
Carly shows up at Sonny's house to argue with him. Sonny says that he needs to know who shot Kate and this is his only way to find out. He pulls a gun out of a drawer and tells her take it and protect Morgan if it comes to it. Carly can see that he's serious, so she takes it. She asks if Kate knows about the wedding, and Sonny says that he went to tell her but she was too busy with Jax to act as if she cared.
Back at Kate's house, Jax pulls away from their steamy kiss to give her a chance to cool off. She draws him near and clarifies that he's helping her. Having settled that, he kisses her again and again until they are lying down by the fire wrapped in each other. At first, Carly watches through the window, but she slowly enters the house and somehow ends up with the gun in her hand.
Sonny and Claudia Agree to Respect One Another.
Jax and Nikolas are taunting each other out at Wyndemere. Jax promises a parking deck and golf course where Spoon Island's meadows currently are. Carly tries to play mediator, but Jax acts as if he doesn't hear her. Nik promises to keep Jax tied up in courts for years and asks to be left out of Jax trying to punish his 6th or 7th wife. After Jax scoffs his way out the door, Carly apologizes to Nikolas. He tells her not to worry because he'll enjoy bringing Jax down.
