Thursday, January 08 2009: Spinelli is Going Down.

Carly is over at Sonny's house demanding that he do whatever possible to keep peace with Jason. By way of explanation for his current actions, Sonny opens up about his feelings after Michael's shooting. He tells Carly that instead of turning to him as Michael's father, she turned to Jason and he ended up losing both of them as well as his sons. When it's Carly's turn to speak, she explains that she never looked at that time from his point of view. She says that she was too angry with him to come to him for solace. She says that they all need to figure out a way to forgive each other.

She walks over to her purse to get something and it spills on the floor. When Sonny bends down to help her retrieve her things, he finds a DVD underneath an end table. He immediately assumes that his housekeeper isn't doing a good job. Carly found what she was looking for -- a piece of paper that details an endowment to help kids like Michael. She says that she's going to hold a small event to announce it and mentions that Jax is going to contribute a large contribution. Sonny quickly offers to double it. Carly smiles and thanks him. She asks him to consider what he's doing with Jason and then leaves.

Olivia is poring over blueprints over at The Metro Court when Jax offers her a private jet ride over Manhattan. Olivia tells him that she grew up in a house full of men and is nearly a man herself therefore she knows that he is looking for a distraction from his divorce. Just then, Carly shows up and Olivia makes herself scarce. Carly tells him that she could use a swim, but Jax tells her that they are supposed to meet with their lawyers.

Wednesday, January 07 2009: Lines are Drawn in the Dirt.

Jax and Carly are trying to talk business over at The Metro Court, but things are strained between them. She reminds him that the pool at the new spa is ready and asks him to take a dip with her. He claims to be too busy for games. As they bicker, Claudia shows up for her first day at work and learns that Jax didn't bother to tell Carly that he hired her. Jax informs Carly that Olivia doesn't work for The Metro Court, she works for him as his Operations Manager. Olivia is uncomfortable to be in between them, but gets busy.

Later, Olivia sits with Carly and tells her that they all want the same thing. She promises to help keep her hotel with five stars beside it and asks if she can do her job and not get involved in her problems with Jax. Carly agrees that she's upset with Jax, not her. Just then, Max shows up and tells Carly that there may be trouble with Sonny. Carly pulls Max off to the side and listens as he explains about the pending disaster between Jason and Sonny. He tells her that she's the only one who can help at this point. Carly tells Olivia that she has to go out, but asks that she not volunteer where she went if Jax asks.

Carly shows up to talk to Sonny. She wants to talk about a project to honor Michael, but first says they need to talk about Jason. She owns up to causing the tension between the two of them after Michael was shot. She says it's all over now and he's the one who needs to fix things. Sonny can't believe that she would plead Jason's case and calls her disloyal to him. "You're either with me or against me," he tells Carly.
