Somewhere in the California wilderness, Lucky, Nik and Lulu are trying to decide how to proceed. Nik wants to find Laura, but Lulu thinks maybe their parents are trying to work out their problems. They talk about forgiveness and whether or not they think Laura can go forward with Luke.
Luke and Laura Talk it Out.
Nik, Lucky and Lulu are out at the crash sight talking to the searchers. They confirm that the fingerprints are from Luke and Laura, but they didn't find any blood. Tracy forges onto the scene and decides that it looks like a set up! She says that Luke and Laura have clearly picked up their romance and taken it on the run. The kids aren't buying it, but Tracy holds firm. The guys decide to search on foot, but Tracy says that she's done enough traipsing around. Lulu tells them to go ahead and she'll stay with Tracy. Tracy asks why she's being so nice all of a sudden. "It hasn't been all that sudden if you'd been paying attention," Lulu says and then adds, "You are family."
You Did This!
At the hotel, Lucky and Lulu convince the cops to let Nikolas make a call before they deport him. After making his call, Nikolas thanks the officers for not taking him away and they go downstairs.
Tracy is arguing with the concierge about her car and her jet when Scott returns; a police officer tells her about the high speed chase and says Luke and Laura were probably in the car. She storms over to Scott and says, "You did this!" Lulu, Lucky and Nikolas see them and demand answers. Tracy tells her what they know – which is that Luke and Laura might have been in the car when it went over the cliff. Scott says he doesn't remember anything but then backtracks and says he remembers hitting a guardrail. Lulu accuses him of lying; Nikolas says he will pay for a search party but the officer says the area is rough and they will have to wait until the next day to start.
Emma's Bittersweet Birthday
Out in LA, Nik is unable to gain entry into Scott's room, but Lulu, dressed like a maid, produces a room key. They go inside and look for clues. Instead, they find gum and 'extreme hold' hair gel and finally Luke and Tracy's marriage certificate. They grow concerned about Laura's mental state if Scott has told her about Luke's marriage. Just then, Lucky and a hotel security guard enter the room. Lucky tells the guard that Lulu and Nik are with him, but he says that unless they are cops, too, he'll have to report them. When a policeman arrives, he lets Lulu off the hook as a professional courtesy to Lucky, but tells Nik that his green card will be revoked and he'll be deported immediately.
Cliffhanger Monday!
Tracy tries to calm the driver, but then Nik, Lulu and Lucky show up and ask what she's doing here? The driver explains that her husband, the CIA driver, took his car! Lucky laughs and says that means 'Constantly Irritating Anyone'. Nik gives the guy his card and promises to make it up to him. After the driver leaves, Lucky and Nik lay into Tracy for not letting them know that Luke had found Laura. Tracy explains how she and Luke made it back from Mexico and then came out here. She says that their father had been charging all of his living expenses on Scott's credit card for months, so he was notified when charges were made in LA. Lulu asks Tracy why she is helping their dad find their mom. Tracy calmly says that she has no ill will toward Laura and is merely concerned for all involved. She warns them that no matter how much Luke and Scott love Laura, they hate each other more.
Sonny Swims With the Fishes!
On the plane, Lulu is taken by the happy pictures from Laura's scrapbook. Lucky tells Lulu and Nikolas that Scott isn't a romantic hero but they both see a different side of Scott. Lulu turns a page and reads them a note from the wishing well. They try to deduce where Scott will take Laura; Nikolas says they should call hotel rooms and ask for Scott. Lulu wonders where Luke is and she and Nikolas say they are on their own. Lulu looks through the scrapbook and finds an entry about Laura getting a job – with Luke! Nikolas learns where Scott is staying; he and Lulu continue to defend Scott, saying that Laura was happy until Luke came along. Lucky can't believe them.
I Do...Believe My Water Broke.
Lulu, Lucky and Nikolas show up at Grandma Lesley's house to report that they haven't found Laura yet. They ask questions about when their mom first met Scott. Lesley tells them that they all made mistakes but Laura genuinely loved Scott at one time. In hopes of finding a clue where to look, Nik asks about local places that were special to them. Lesley recalls Scott and Laura's first apartment and a cabin where they used to canoe, but neither are still around. Then she recalls that they were really happy on their honeymoon in Los Angeles. Nik quickly does some research and learns that a private jet left Port Charles just two hours after Laura left Shadybrook. Off they go!
Memory Lane Begins in Los Angeles.
Back in Port Charles, Lucky is at home leaving a voicemail for Liz. As he explains that he's going to the mountains for a couple days, Sam comes over and asks him to listen as she tries to explain. Before she can get too far, Lulu comes in and explains that she broke out of Shadybrook because Laura is awake and Scott Baldwin took her. Lucky doesn't believe her, but Sam does, so she gives Lucky time alone with his sister.
Out at Wyndemere, Nikolas has finally gotten through to Nadine. He tells her how special it is to him that they have finally become lovers, but she can't control herself for long and starts to ramble again. She tells him that the first night she laid eyes on him was at the Black and White ball and he was full of love for Emily. She worries that she'll never measure up, but Nikolas says that she knows more than anyone what losing Emily meant to him. He asks her to risk her heart and give their relationship a try. As they start to kiss again, Lucky and Lulu interrupt with one poignant sentence, "Scott Baldwin has mom."
