Nearby bullets start flying as Sam lands the shipment. Lucky yells out as Sam takes a shot to the abdomen.
Sonny Steps to the Forefront.
Lucky is at Sam's place when he sees a press conference on TV about the fact that Johnny and Lulu are still at large. Sam comes home and rushes into his arms. She tells him that she loves running a con (finally, on the right side of the law) and going after the bad guy with him. He tells her that he's all hers since the boys are spending the night at Bobbie's. They make love on the sofa and Lucky asks her to move in with him after they bust the bad guys. She promises to think about it and says that she has to go to the docks later to bring in another shipment.
Happy Birthday Lulu?
Nik assures Lucky and Sam that they can get back to their lives soon, hopefully. In addition to Sam's undercover work, he talks about what Nadine's theory about Matt Hunter is. He comments that all she's really doing is embarrassing herself. As they talk, Jerry enters the clinic so Nik goes out to the main room so Lucky and Sam can remain hidden. Jerry tells Nik that he has some news about some bad medicine that's circulating. Nik asks why he should listen to him, and Jerry says that he hears things and doesn't want Nik's good works to be affected. "Heart medication…dispense it with care," he warns and then leaves.
Sam and Lucky are on the Van Ness Street pier looking around to see why Matt Hunter might have been there. Lucky says that Nadine has a crush on Nik so there's probably not much to it. Sam takes offense to his treating a love-struck woman like she can't think straight. Then she sees an alley that leads to Pier 52 where Karpov landed his shipment!
Carly!
Sam is at the docks supervising Karpov's shipment delivery when Lucky approaches in full cop mode asking to see her Captain's license. Rather than risk her cover, she slaps him in the face and tells him not to try to get back with her ever again. As he leaves, Lucky whispers to her to be careful. After the inventory is complete, Jerry shows up before Sam can even give a sigh of relief.
Off to Shady Brook.
Scott is in Nik and Sam's face about Lulu at the free clinic. Nik and Sam say that no one knows who killed Logan yet and the only thing he's after is vengeance against Luke. They point out the uncanny parallels between Lulu choosing Johnny and Laura choosing Luke all those years ago. Nik asks Scott how he would justify his actions against Lulu to Laura if she were to wake up right now?
After Scott slithers away, Lucky shows up to tell Nik that Lulu is now officially on the cops wanted list. They worry how long Lulu can hang tough under all the pressure she's under.
Outside Laura's door, Scott has arrived and is asking an attendant if he can see the patient. Once he goes inside, he sees that the window is open and tells Laura that she probably could use the fresh air. He sits and tells Laura about the time he spent in the Bahamas with Serena and then came home to find that Lulu is in trouble. He says that Johnny has to pay for what he did to Logan and sadly, Lulu's going to have to pay as well. As he's talking to her, Nik and Lucky arrive and make him leave. Scott says that he wanted Laura to understand that he's just trying to do his job.
Monica sees Jason in a Family Way.
Sam is at the free clinic waiting for Lucky. When he arrives, she playfully asks if he's ready to play doctor. He would love to but is eager to finish their undercover work instead so they can have a very public reconciliation.
After Monica leaves, Lucky arrives and is surprised at the picnic Liz has planned for him. She tells him that she thought he could use a reminder of how much the boys love him.
