Liz and Lucky are at the PCPD looking through mug shots when Sasha arrives. Liz wants to go after her, but Mac whisks her into the interrogation room first. Once inside, Sasha proceeds to deny knowing anything about Jake's kidnapping. On her way out, Liz screams at her and Sasha says that this is her own fault. Later, Lucky tells Liz that he is partly to blame because he chose a cabin for them to go to and it wasn't guarded. Liz says that she's the one who put her own needs ahead of her boys.
Carly Vows to Ruin Kate.
Back at the cabin, Liz is huddled in a corner with Cameron. As she tries to comfort him, she almost jumps out of her skin when someone starts pounding on the door. Once she realizes that it's Lucky, she lets him in and explains everything that happened. Lucky thanks her for saving Sam, but she reminds him that she killed a man and now their son is gone.
Once Cameron is tucked in bed, Liz comes downstairs and tells Lucky that he was right all along about Jason being too dangerous for her. She says that she put her wants before her children and now her baby is gone.
Looks Like Sonny's Engaged. Again.
Lucky arrives at Liz's house thinking that Sam is there waiting for him. He explains that Sam called and told him to meet her there. Just then, Sam and Jason arrive and Jason quickly explains that Sam, Liz and the boys need to go hide out for a while. Then Lucky gets a call from the PCPD about the onset of a mob war. After he hangs up, he surmises that Jason is right about getting the women and children out of town. Lucky skips over his 'I'm a cop speech' and tells Jason that his safe house isn't going to be safe anymore and suggests a cabin that he knows about. He tells Jason to go do what he needs to do and he'll get them there. Liz runs upstairs to pack.
Liz's car is packed, but Lucky is called into the station. Liz assures him that she and Sam can get to the cabin on their own. He warns them both to sit tight and not get any big ideas about getting involved the drama. Sam promises that she's learned her lesson and Lucky rushes off. After Liz's SUV leaves the driveway, a Russian can be seen hiding in the bushes.
The Last Time He Did This He Shot His Foot.
Cody rushes off and leaves Jason alone with Liz on the waterfront. She is glad that he's okay, but he warns her that might not last for long. Liz tells him that she lost two patients today and is more aware than ever not to waste time. The cops rush in and Lucky isn't pleased to see her standing out in the open with Jason at the onset of a mob war! He reminds them that if the Russians get any inkling that she is involved with Jason then everything they've done to protect Jake is up in smoke! Jason agrees with Lucky and Liz says that she'll stay away from him. For now.
Lucky escorts Liz back to work and runs into Sam. He fills her in on the crime scene and promises to call her later. Liz tells Lucky that he doesn't get to police her and reminds him that he and Sam just had a run in with drugs, crime and guns, too.
Not Again!
Maxie and Sam are enjoying some quality girl talk over at Sam's place. Maxie contends that Sam enjoyed her adventure with Jason, but Sam only owns up to loving the adventure part of it. She loved the adrenaline rush and now realizes how much she needs it in her life. Just then, Lucky keys into the place and Sam rushes into his arms. Lucky can see Maxie's surprise and explains that they staged their breakup. Maxie hopes they're happy and then leaves in a huff. What she doesn't know is that she is being followed.
And So It Begins.
After they leave, Nik and Lucky come in and take a table. They talk about Laura and how much they're going to miss her. Lucky says that he told Laura something about Jake that he thinks Nik should know now, too. Then he proceeds to explain about Jake's paternity and why he and Liz have lied. He says that he gets to be a dad to two great boys so it's all good now.
Sam returns home and finds Lucky there. He has been worried about her, so she explains what has happened with Jerry. She assures him that she's okay now and so is their relationship. Lucky worries that he's too boring for her, but she says that she loves him and wants a future with him.
