Robin and Patrick wake up on the couch and marvel that Emma has let them sleep for over four hours. They quickly check her for SIDS and then lie back down. As soon as they start to kiss, Emma wakes up. Together they feed her and talk about making Christmas special for Emma this first year. They decide to go get their tree tonight and pass Maxie on their way out the door. She tells them that their wedding is too close for comfort and they haven't made any plans. They tell her that she did such a great job the last time that they're leaving it all in her hands!
On The Same Page?
It's anything but a peaceful day over at Robin's place. She admits to Patrick that it upsets her to see her daughter cry whenever she's around. She decides to do everyone a favor and leave for a while and give Emma a break from her.
Later, Mac comes across Robin on a bench in the park and asks if she's okay. Robin admits that she doesn't have the energy to lie. She laments over her inability to comfort her own daughter. Mac can't help but to chuckle when Robin says that the only proof she has is that her baby cries. He buys her some popcorn and she assures him that her meltdown has passed. Mac is giving her a pep talk as Patrick comes by with the stroller. He tells her that he and Emma missed her.
Tracy Kicks Luke Out.
It's a new day over at the Scorpio-Drake house. Robin has made scrambled eggs for Patrick. She beams as she describes what a good day she and Emma had yesterday and she remains hopeful that today will be good as well. The moment he leaves, Emma starts crying. She doesn't stop until Maxie shows up. Robin connects the dots and wonders if her child hates her. Maxie says that Emma loves her and asks if they can talk about her for a while. She asks Robin's advice on where she should live. Robin offers to help with rent, but Maxie assures her that she'll work it out somehow.
There's Another Spencer Family Reunion.
Over at Sonny's house, Max runs for first aid and Patrick puts Olivia down on the sofa. Claudia asks why this is their problem, but Sonny reminds her that this is his house. He asks Olivia why she came here and she simply says that she wants to keep this quiet. He tells her that she can stay as long as she likes. After Patrick has stitched Olivia up, Sonny says that his private doctor will take it from here, but Patrick says Olivia is his patient now. Sonny pours him a drink and then asks if he should call her son? Patrick says that there's no medical reason to alarm her family, but she was a victim tonight.
Finally, Some Good News!
Olivia is walking along the waterfront and comes across Sasha talking on the phone about the explosion and Jake's kidnapping. Sasha sees her and hangs up the phone. She demands to know how much Olivia heard, and then stabs her in the stomach and leaves. Patrick comes along and tries to take Olivia to GH, but she won't hear of it because her son will have a fit if he learns that she's been hurt yet again in this town. She begs him to take her someplace besides the hospital.
Liz's Dream Goes Up in Smoke.
Patrick stops by Lucky's house to see how Liz's doing since Jake's kidnapping. He's brought a couple toy cars for Cameron to play with, but they're little comfort to Liz. She's wracked with guilt and admits to Patrick that her relationship with Jason put her son at risk. Her voice cracks as she explains how he was taken right in front of Cameron and now he feels like he did something wrong. Patrick looks almost as devastated as Liz does as she belabors the fact that she put her needs ahead of her family's safety. Suddenly she asks him to stay with Cameron because there's somewhere she needs to go. When Lucky comes home, Patrick explains and says that he's worried about Liz. Lucky asks him to stay and goes after her.
GH is Starting to Feel Like The Wedding Channel!
Meanwhile, Patrick and Emma are having a fine time together at home. Matt stops by with a baby care package and Patrick hands her over so he can make them a sandwich. They bicker over what kind of car sound Emma likes the most and then settle in to play racecar video games with Emma napping in between them.
Robin arrives home with a cup of hot chocolate in her hand. She finds Emma sleeping soundly between Matt and Patrick while they play video racing games. Matt goes back to work and Robin says that she knows she should be grateful that Emma is healthy, but she can't figure out how to be a good mother. Patrick assures her that they'll figure this out together.
Nadine's Family Thinks Nik is a Freeloader!
Patrick is ready to leave for work and Robin has just finally gotten Emma to sleep. She tells him that she needs to clean the house before she can nap and he offers to get her a nurse to help out. She reminds him that's why she took maternity leave so that she could do this stuff herself. As soon as he leaves, Emma wakes up. Robin tries to comfort her, but Emma won't stop crying. Maxie shows up and is aghast at what Robin's wearing. She says, "Your outfit might be cute for skid row but not for mid-town Port Charles!" She insists that she can take care of Emma while Robin showers.
