PATRICK DRAKE'S HISTORY
Robin sought Patrick's help when his father, Noah Drake admitted he couldn't perform the surgery needed to save Jason's life. Patrick initially refused to do the surgery because of his estranged relationship with Noah, but with Carly, Sam and Robin all pleading, he agreed to it. The surgery was a success, but it just made him even more cocky.
Robin tried to get information from Noah about the strained relationship between he and his son, but she only got a cryptic remark about how easy it was to fall into a bottle when your patient dies. She later discovered it was his wife, and Patrick's mother about whom he spoke.
Patrick and Robin flirted with one another openly, yet denied a romantic attraction, and he even went so far as to express an interest in Carly to raise Robin's dander. Eventually, beneath Robin's balcony, with a boom-box and flowers, he professed his love for her. If only Robin could rid herself of the guilt that she lived and Stone died, she and Patrick might stand a chance.

Patrick comes home and finds Robin crying. She explains that Sonny's visit reminded her how unfair it was for him to lose his son. She says that there are so many things that could go wrong with Emma that she hasn't even considered. Patrick points out that she isn't acting like herself at all. She gets defensive when he gently wonders if she might be suffering from post partumdepression and tells him to drop it. Later, he comes home with a present for her. She says that all she really needs is more crib sheets and is surprised to open the box and see a sexy black nightgown. He tells her that she's still the sexiest woman he knows, but she tells him that she's not ready yet.
Monday, January 05 2009: Claudia has Little Wiggle Room.
Robin and Patrick have arrived home from the airport with Emma in tow. Robin is worried about how much Emma cried on the flight and decides to take her into GH to be checked out for West Nile Virus. Too tired to argue, Patrick lets her go.
Sonny shows up to visit with Robin and Emma. Patrick tells him that Robin worries too much and she took the baby for a checkup. Sonny sits down and tells Patrick that he recently saw Michael at the institution. He asks Patrick if there have been any medical advances that might help his condition, experimental or otherwise. "I want my son back," he says. Patrick reminds him that the bullet is lodged in Michael's brain and the damage is permanent. Sonny thanks him for his honesty and Patrick says that he'll be the first to know if anything new comes up that might be of help to Michael.
