Mac Gets the Worst News.

A scene at the hospital is equally tense: Lorenzo went into code blue and was rushed into surgery. Noah and Patrick are operating on him and Noah disagrees with the way Patrick wants to remove the new shrapnel that he found. Back in the room, Skye is freaking out trying to figure out how to get the rest of the code so that she can reset the bomb within the time frame Lorenzo gave her. Jason comes rushing into the room and demands to know everything that Skye can tell him about what's in the briefcase. He explains that the whole Quartermaine family is at risk. Skye finally decides to cooperate and tells Jason all that she knows.

At the hospital, Jason is trying to get information from Skye when Patrick enters the room. He explains that the surgery isn't over and as soon as some tests come back, he needs to go back in and remove more shrapnel. Jason tells him to wake Lorenzo up so they can get the code. Patrick won't hear of it, but listens as Jason explains what is going on at the Metro Court. Just then, his cell phone rings. It's Spinelli calling to say that Robin Scorpio has been shot, and Carly and Sonny are trapped inside.

Upon hearing this, Patrick wants to rush over to the Metro Court but Noah insists that he doesn't know the surgery well enough to do it alone.

In the operating room, Patrick and Noah are hard at work on Lorenzo. It's getting dicey, but Patrick says, "If this bastard dies, so does Robin."

And So It Begins.

Noah finds Patrick at the hospital and notices his surly mood. Patrick tells his dad that his test came back inconclusive and that he doesn't want to know the results just yet. He explains that Robin broke up with him over it. Noah says that as Patrick's father, he doesn't want to hear the worst any more than Patrick does. But, as doctors, they know that inconclusive means "inconclusive". Noah reminds Patrick that when he insisted on giving part of his liver to him, it proved that he cared. Now Noah feels the same way. "I love you Patrick and so does Robin. The sooner you find out the better – for all of us," he says.

Four year-old misunderstanding.

Robin is at the hospital working when Noah finds her and asks for a consultation. She tells him that she's busy later – with Patrick. Noah is happy to hear that, and even happier when she reports that not only has Patrick given up his hotel life, he has a new roommate.

Robin, Pete and Patrick are in a stalemate when there's a knock at the door. It's Noah – bearing a housewarming gift. Patrick isn't thrilled to see him, and even less thrilled that Robin has told him about their new living arrangement. Noah tells his son that it looks as if he's made a step in the right direction, to which Pete snidely says, "I rest my case." Patrick tells Noah to stay out of his personal life. Noah says he can accept that, but he hopes that Patrick gives the same treatment to his good buddy Pete. Noah wishes he and Robin luck and leaves. As soon as he's gone, Patrick lays into her for involving his father in their lives. She doesn't want to discuss it in front of Pete. Patrick informs her that he and Pete are going to Las Vegas. They walk out the door without so much as a toothbrush. Robin doesn't hesitate for a second. She calls Lainey and tells her to get Kelly and prepare for a road trip.

Sonny's heart is breaking.

Robin and Patrick are making out in the hospital elevator when the door opens. Epiphany sees them and tells them that she’s happier when they are fighting. She warns Patrick not to try to prove his brilliance with his hand in a cast. Noah steps in and tells them that he’s stepping in to handle Patrick’s surgeries for awhile.

There's some strange behavior going on.

At the hospital, Patrick and Robin are waiting for results from an X-Ray. Noah finds them, and bends down to see his son's hand. Robin takes another look too, but Noah gets a whiff of her breath and tells her that she's giving him a tequila buzz. He tells Patrick that his hand is broken. It looks like what he and his buddies used to call a “moron fracture”.

Today is one big shrink session. And Lainey isn't anywhere in sight!

Patrick is grumpy at work. He grapples with Epiphany over nurses not checking on his patients often enough. Noah enters the scene and realizes that Patrick is upset about Robin, not angry with the nurses.
