Sonny yells for Jason and sends, "I'm going to kill you," ringing through the church. Olivia falls to her knees in prayer. Jason draws his gun and takes off, with Cody right behind him. Johnny covers Lulu and Jax rushes over to Carly's pew and covers her.
Mike goes outside looking for anyone with a medical background and all he can come up with is Carly (and her one year of nursing school). She agrees to go back inside to see if there's anything she can do for Kate. She finds Olivia trying to compress the wound and Jason telling Sonny how to hold Kate's neck in order to keep her airways open. She and Jax take note of Sonny begging Kate not to give up and promising her that they will have the life they've always wanted together.
Jax takes Carly back to The Metro Court and she wants to change before Morgan can see the blood on her gown. But Morgan and Mercedes are there. Morgan rushes into Carly's arms, while Mercedes explains that they news of the shooting on TV and Morgan thought the victim was Carly. Carly holds her terrified son while Jax looks on.
What's That Sound, a Wedding Bell?
When Sonny arrives at the church, he is greeted by Mike. He says that Michael would've wanted this for him. Then he tells Mike that he's glad to have him standing next to him. Ric and Claudia arrive next and Sonny comments on Ric's 'odd choice' of dates. Claudia replies with, "Congratulations on your wedding. I hope you won't die of boredom." Sonny tells Ric that Kate has hopes that they can reconnect as family and Ric shakes his hand. Diane arrives and promptly warns Sonny about Carly. Next, Alexis wishes Sonny every happiness and promptly warns him about Carly. Then Diane blurts out, "Incoming… nine o'clock!" Jason and Carly arrive and Sonny hugs them both. Jax arrives and just keeps on walking when he sees Carly in Sonny's arms.
They're Cousins, But They're Not Exactly Kissin'.
Later, Jax hears Carly tell Marty to comp spa services and flowers to Olivia's room. He gets on her for it and she reminds that he's rolling out the red carpet for Kate's guest so why shouldn't she for Sonny's? They argue and Carly ends it by saying that she'll see him at the wedding tomorrow.
Jax turns around and finds Nik standing behind him. It appears that their respective attorneys have arranged a meeting, but it might as well happen now. Jax is curious what this is about, so Nik tells him that he'd like to buy The Metro Court. He says that he is expanding his holdings and Jax asks why he can't buy the Cosmopolitan? Nik explains that there's such a great view of The Metro Court from Spoon Island that he wants to own it. Jax says that The Metro Court is not for sale no matter how generous the offer is.
Ravens, Food Poisoning and Carly.
Jax runs into Carly at The Metro Court and hears her talking about the fabulous dress she's going to wear to the wedding. He can't believe that she would even consider going, but Carly says she isn't going to hide. Jax says that she has an agenda and it can't be good for any of them. Carly insists that she's going, and Sonny and Kate will be lucky if that's the only bad thing that happens on their wedding day.
Maxie Covers Some Ground!
Carly is talking to Marty about a convention coming to The Metro Court in November. Jax comes up from behind her and tells Marty that he'll handle this. He asks Carly why she second guesses his every decision and then says he doesn't want to argue about it. He says that they need to start their divorce proceedings and hopes it can be as painless as possible. He names Alexis as his attorney of choice, but Carly objects to the whole thing. She calmly explains how hurtful it would be to have Alexis rip her apart, given their history. Jax agrees to use someone else, but Carly changes her position and tells him that he has every right to use whomever he wants.
Cupid is on Hiatus.
Across the room, Jax tells Leyla that he wants to thank her for her care when he hurt his hand. He tells her that he's been climbing mountains all across the globe thanks to her. He asks about her and learns that she wants to go to medical school. The more they talk, the more they realize what they have in common. When he finds out that she loves to kayak, he offers to take her to Tahiti. Leyla is flattered, but says that she doesn't want to be his rebound woman.
Lulu Starts to Wonder.
At the Metro Court, Carly is in Jax's face begging for forgiveness, but he reminds her that they are over. They sign some company business papers together and then Jax takes off. Maxie and Spinelli approach Carly's table and gently broach their idea to her. She appreciates their concern about her love life, but says that she's too raw right now, and so is Jax for that matter. Just then Maxie points out that Jax has escorted Leyla to a table. Carly changes her tune and asks them what kind of guys they have found for her.
