Maxie has called Sam over to her house to grumble about Winifred and Spinelli again. Sam hears her out but asks if maybe Maxie just wants to be the only girl in Spinelli's life. Maxie holds firm that Winifred is a stalker and needs to be kept away. She assures Sam that in the end Spinelli will choose her because she's pretty and 'extremely good in bed'. Sam warns her not to play Spinelli that way, but Maxie says that she's saving him and he'll enjoy himself along the way. Sam offers to go to Jason and ask him to intervene instead.
Lines are Drawn in the Dirt.
Lucky calls in on a favor from Liz. When she arrives, he tells her how bad he is at accounting and would love her help doing his taxes. When she balks, he reminds her that he put the kids' Christmas toys together. She takes off her coat and laughs that they can dig through the receipts together. Eventually they challenge each other to a video game and don't even notice that Sam has come over and is looking through the window.
It's Gloves Off for The Corinthos Women.
Maxie shows up at Sam's house in a tizzy. She tells Sam all about Spinelli's new twin stalker and denies that she is jealous. Sam says that Spinelli and Winifred sound like they have a lot in common and that can be a powerful draw. She suggests that Maxie be happy for her friend, but Maxie says that Winifred is too suspicious. She says that she's always been the one to steal boyfriends, not the other way around. Then she catches herself and declares that Spinelli is only her friend.
Lucky keys into Sam's place and finds her leaving Jason a voicemail asking for an urgent meeting. They argue and when she insists that she doesn't still have a thing for Jason, he says that he's tired of being on the outside.
Separated at Birth?
Sam calls Jason to tell him that the FBI agent slipped his business card under her door last night. After leaving a message, Lucky comes over to apologize for not coming over on New Year's Eve because he had to fix Elizabeth's hot water heater. Sam tells him it's no big deal, but he can tell that something's going on. He asks if she's got another investigation going on, and she denies that it's anything illegal. She wants him to have faith in her, but he says that she has no boundaries. She's willing to talk about it, but he is called into work.
Spinelli shows up at Sam's and she says that she's been emailing him all morning! He warns her never to email him again because he has been 'jackaled'! She sympathizes, but admits that she wanted him to look into something for her. She's concerned that she's being investigated for the roadhouse fire. He tells her that all is lost and that he can't help anyone anymore.
A Marriage, a Birthday and Pending Doom.
Sam is surprised to find Jax at her door. He asks if she can fill in some of the blanks about his brother's last few hours and if she's certain that he is dead. Sam sits with him and tells everything that happened between her and Jerry. Jax listens and says that Jerry could've pulled off his scheme to make law enforcement believe he's dead. Sam doesn't see how that is possible and tells Jax that she's sorry for his loss. Jax apologizes for what Jerry did to her and Sam tells him that Jerry never spoke of him with anything but love.
Later, Sam calls Jason over to tell him that Federal Agent Rayner called her and had a bunch of questions about Spinelli. Neither of them are happy to learn that now their friend Spinelli is on the fed's radar.
Robin's Big Day Finally Arrives.
Sam wakes up in the hospital and finds Lucky standing at her bedside. He tells her that she didn't break any bones when she fell into the pit, but she was suffering from hypothermia when Jason brought her in. Sam tries to explain why she met with Sasha in the first place and Lucky tells her that she has almost died twice this year.
Alexis brings Sam home from the hospital and they find Lucky there. Alexis looks confused, so Sam explains that she and Lucky staged their breakup so that they could frame Jerry. Alexis leaves them alone and Sam asks if they are still together? Lucky says that he wants them to get back to where they were and Sam says that she wants that too.
