Patrick comes home and Robert says that he's come to have that 'talk' with him before the wedding. Patrick takes it good naturedly. Anna whisks Patrick away so that Robert and Robin can have some time alone together. Robin says that she's really glad that he's here. He admits that he's at about 90% and that his appetite is back and the hair is on its way. Robin says that since he's doing so well would he walk her down the aisle?
Three Trees and a Eulogy.
Robin and Patrick wake up on the couch and marvel that Emma has let them sleep for over four hours. They quickly check her for SIDS and then lie back down. As soon as they start to kiss, Emma wakes up. Together they feed her and talk about making Christmas special for Emma this first year. They decide to go get their tree tonight and pass Maxie on their way out the door. She tells them that their wedding is too close for comfort and they haven't made any plans. They tell her that she did such a great job the last time that they're leaving it all in her hands!
On The Same Page?
It's anything but a peaceful day over at Robin's place. She admits to Patrick that it upsets her to see her daughter cry whenever she's around. She decides to do everyone a favor and leave for a while and give Emma a break from her.
Later, Mac comes across Robin on a bench in the park and asks if she's okay. Robin admits that she doesn't have the energy to lie. She laments over her inability to comfort her own daughter. Mac can't help but to chuckle when Robin says that the only proof she has is that her baby cries. He buys her some popcorn and she assures him that her meltdown has passed. Mac is giving her a pep talk as Patrick comes by with the stroller. He tells her that he and Emma missed her.
Tracy Kicks Luke Out.
It's a new day over at the Scorpio-Drake house. Robin has made scrambled eggs for Patrick. She beams as she describes what a good day she and Emma had yesterday and she remains hopeful that today will be good as well. The moment he leaves, Emma starts crying. She doesn't stop until Maxie shows up. Robin connects the dots and wonders if her child hates her. Maxie says that Emma loves her and asks if they can talk about her for a while. She asks Robin's advice on where she should live. Robin offers to help with rent, but Maxie assures her that she'll work it out somehow.
There's Another Spencer Family Reunion.
Mac goes home and calls Robin over. When she arrives, he says that he made a mistake by giving Maxie an ultimatum. Robin tells him that he should give Spinelli a break because he's a great guy. Mac can't get past his connection to Jason, but asks Robin to talk Maxie out of moving out. Maxie arrives shortly and informs Mac and Robin that she will be moving out. He softly tells her that she's an adult and he was wrong to issue an ultimatum. She tells him that they're beyond that and it's time that she grew up a little. She packs her bag and asks for the number of a cab, but Mac tells her to keep the car. She tells him that it's time he finally have his house to himself and thanks him for being such a great dad to her. There's not a dry eye in the house as she pulls her bag out the front door. Robin hugs Mac and says that she'll be keeping an eye on him.
GH is Starting to Feel Like The Wedding Channel!
Robin has gone back to work, but she's not doing anybody much good there either. She can't keep the charts or the meds straight and Epiphany tells her to go home. Robin insists that she's perfectly capable to do rounds, but eventually Lainey finds her and asks her to talk. She explains that the 'baby blues' are normal and will likely go away in a few days. She gently suggests that Robin take a walk in the park and treat herself to a cup of hot chocolate before going home.
Robin arrives home with a cup of hot chocolate in her hand. She finds Emma sleeping soundly between Matt and Patrick while they play video racing games. Matt goes back to work and Robin says that she knows she should be grateful that Emma is healthy, but she can't figure out how to be a good mother. Patrick assures her that they'll figure this out together.
Nadine's Family Thinks Nik is a Freeloader!
Patrick is ready to leave for work and Robin has just finally gotten Emma to sleep. She tells him that she needs to clean the house before she can nap and he offers to get her a nurse to help out. She reminds him that's why she took maternity leave so that she could do this stuff herself. As soon as he leaves, Emma wakes up. Robin tries to comfort her, but Emma won't stop crying. Maxie shows up and is aghast at what Robin's wearing. She says, "Your outfit might be cute for skid row but not for mid-town Port Charles!" She insists that she can take care of Emma while Robin showers.
Patrick comes home and finds Robin trying like crazy to get Emma to stop crying. He plucks her out of her bassinet and her cries turn into coos. Completely frustrated, Robin asks Patrick to teach her how to be as great of a parent as he is.
