Mystery Man Revealed.

Sam and Alexis rush out to Wyndemere and join Lulu and Lucky in Nik's study. Now that his whole family is together, Nikolas admits that the Dr. Lipton found a tumor and says it's too risky to try to remove it. They all vow to find another doctor to try to remove it. Sam tells him that it may not seem like it now, but he has a lot to live for. Nikolas thinks of Spencer and then says that his brain disorder could be genetic so they all should get tested.

Hang On Luke!

In the OR, Luke is trying to invite Epiphany back to his back to his place to spin some "33's" as he starts to go under. After he's down, Monica comes in and looks around at her staff. Then, she sees Emily -- all scrubbed in and ready to assist. Monica freezes and Eppy tells her to do something or they will lose the patient! From Luke's point of view, everything goes white and Skye comes to him. He sees her and says that there is heaven after all. Skye tells him that that's not where he's going at all. Suddenly Luke is thrown back into life, but he's dressed like an old man in a cardigan and sitting in by a fireplace.

Johnny Steps Behind the Desk.

Nik is surprised to see that Emily has appeared at the hospital with him. He thought he could only see her at the house, but apparently that's not true. As he talks with her about the test results he is about to pick up, Epiphany offers to help Nikolas. He asks if Dr. Patrick Drake left something for him. Eppy expresses her condolences and Emily tells Nik that was sweet. She anxiously looks on as he opens the envelope. It turns out that Patrick was able to get Nikolas an appointment with a Doctor Lipman in Zurich.

Nikolas is walking through the park and feels Emily's embrace. He says that if people find out how real she still is to him, he'll be locked up. Emily says that with everything they don't understand about this world, what if they really are still together? Nik says that he watched them take her away from him; he knows that she is dead. Emily asks when his last blackout was? He suddenly realizes that he hasn't had any since she died. She tells him that when he sees Dr. Lipman, she knows he should tell him everything, but she doesn't want him to be declared insane over still seeing her. Nikolas says whatever this is, he just doesn't want her to go away -- or else he would go insane for real.

Robin Stays True to her Dream.

Detective Harper has gone out to Wyndemere to "arrest" Nikolas for Emily's murder. He says that Nik's blood was on the white mask. Nik asks a few questions and it turns out Harper doesn't have a warrant - he's just trying to get Nikolas to confess. Nikolas stands strong -- with Emily beside him -- and tells the detective to leave unless he is prepared to go forward with his case. After the detective leaves, Emily tells Nikolas that she is certain that he didn't kill her. They continue to discuss what might have happened that night, but there's a knock at the door. Sam comes in and asks if he's alone. He says that he is, and she asks why the police were there? Nik tells her that his blood was found on the mask. Sam tells him that he couldn't have killed Emily. He reminds her that she has seen his rages and asks how she can still say that?

Nik and Emily are finally alone again. She tells him someone took her future and why should they take away his as well. She challenges him to love her enough to find her killer.

Patrick Wants Another Chance

Alfred asks Nikolas if he is okay and he says he is fine. Alfred leaves and Nikolas picks up the newspaper, which Emily's death as front page news. She reaches over and asks if it is true! She reads the report and tells Nikolas that Anthony killed her - not him! He still blames himself. "You're not here," he says. She puts her arms around him, kisses him and says she is right here, right now. He wonders how it can be possible. She kisses him, telling him she still loves him. Alexis walks in and tells Nikolas that he doesn't have to be alone! She talks to him about bringing Spencer home. Watching Emily as Alexis talks, Nikolas says he isn't alone. Alexis leaves. Emily tells Nikolas that Spencer really should come home but Nik is afraid that his madness will impact Spencer somehow. Alfred comes in to announce Detective Harper's arrival. The detective is there to arrest Nikolas for Emily's death!

Lovers!

There's a different kind of touching going on in Nikolas's bedroom at Wyndemere. "This is our room," Emily states matter-of-factly when he asks how she can be there right now? He reaches out to touch her arm and is surprised when it doesn't feel like thin air. Emily moves in and kisses him to prove that he's not imagining her. Nik tells her that he just came from her funeral and that he killed her. He reminds her that when they were at the ball, he grabbed her and yelled at her, but then he blacked out. He tells her that when he woke up she was on the floor with a rope around her neck. Emily calmly tells him that he could never hurt her. Nik is growing upset and says that he needs to wake up from this dream or it will be too hard later. Emily tells him that maybe her dying was the dream. She tries to convince him that she's not leaving him. He asks if this is real, why is she still wearing her gown - the ball was days ago. He asks her the last thing she remembers about the ball. Emily recalls that she came to find him and he was angry at her. Nik says that is when he killed her. Emily laughs at him and he asks if anyone else has seen her?

Alfred knocks on Nik's bedroom door. He says that he has brought up a light supper. Nikolas gingerly lets him in and it's apparent that Alfred cannot see Emily. He speaks of the lovely service and the loss that Nikolas must be feeling. Emily gets tears in her eyes and Nikolas shows Alfred to the door. "I guess that settles it…now I really am insane," Nik says. He looks at Em and says that he's heard of people who imagine their loved ones are close to them after they've died. Emily refuses to believe that she is dead. She tries to remember what happened after he grabbed her at the ball and he doesn't remember anything until he sees her on the floor. The more they talk, the sadder Emily becomes. She comes to a tearful realization, then says, "I'm still dead."

Emily is looking in the mirror. She tells Nik that she doesn't want her life to be over; she wants to share it with him. He tells her that he has missed her so much these last few days, but at least at this point he can talk to her and hold her. He doesn't care about the "hows and whys" -- she's here at this moment.
