Lulu talks Johnny Down.

Liz and Emily are stunned that Alexis would fight for custody of Jake - after having lost Molly in her own custody fight. Liz wonders how two people who loved each other so much could hurt each other so badly. Emily tries to help her sort it out from Lucky's point of view, but Liz doesn't see it. She says he's too angry to be rational now, so she has to fight as hard as he is.

Women!

Emily is helping Liz with the final stages of her move into her new house. Liz says that she now realizes that she should've moved out months ago. She says that she feels independent again and looks forward settling in with her boys. She hopes that the divorce mediation goes quickly and that she and Lucky can make things okay for the boys.

Carly doesn't scare easily.

Nik is brooding at his desk when Emily returns from dinner with Alexis. She says that Alexis isn't crazy about the black & white ball, but she is very concerned about his health and has agreed to move out with the girls in the morning. Nik tells her about the blackout he had while she was gone. "Apparently, I almost killed Carly tonight," he says. He says that Jax must think he stabbed Jerry, or they both wouldn't have showed up here tonight. Nik's voice trembles as he says that his grandmother has people stabbed in alleys, not him. Nik says that Carly was full of questions about Jerry and the night Leticia was killed and the next thing he knew Max had a gun on him saying that he almost stabbed her with a letter opener. Emily moves in close for support and Nik says that the first thing in the morning he's going to Patrick Drake for answers. Then he says that she needs to think about moving out of Wyndemere now too. Emily asks if he plans on driving them all away? He says that he can't imagine hurting anyone, but something is happening to him. He says that he's getting more violent every single day and it would kill him if he hurt her. She assures him that he wouldn't hurt her and that she loves him and will never leave him.

Bacchanalias & Blackouts

At Wyndemere, Nik explains to Em that the Bacchanalia is the surprise is that he has been planning for her for weeks. He says that the date is October 31 and the arrangements are all made. A celebration for her, he explains. Emily thinks it's wonderful, but he planned all of this before he knew that he had a condition. Nik asks what could go wrong and Em reminds him that some of the people on the guest list aren't exactly on the best of terms with him lately. Nik says that he's not on the brink of uncontrollable rage every minute - or he wouldn't be planning such an event. Emily urges him to postpone the ball, but he won't hear of it.

Emily is asking Nit to postpone the ball only until Patrick can run more tests. Alexis has entered the study and overheard. She asks what kind of tests Patrick is running? Nik downplays it, but admits that there is some question as to whether Jerry's drugs could have a long-term effect so he's having some tests done. As Alexis starts to jump down his throat for dogging Jerry again, Emily says that Nikolas doesn't need to defend his right to hate the man who let her father die and held them hostage. Alexis looks stunned. She says that she and the girls have likely caused more stress than they thought and offers to move back to the Lake House. Nik says that they are still in danger from Leticia's killer and they are staying. He tells Alexis that they all need something to lighten them up, so he's planning a ball. Then he announces that the endowment that he's making to the hospital will be in Alan's name. Emily is touched, but worried.

As Nik talks to Alexis and Emily, Jax arrives to talk to him. Jax wants privacy, so Nik sends the women to dinner. After they leave, Nik asks Jax what is so private and Jax says, "I don't want Alexis to know that you stabbed my brother." Nik reminds Jax that he once pretended to be Spencer's father, so who's the liar here? Jax contends that Nik's blackouts are getting worse, but he insists that they aren't. On his way out, Jax urges him to see a specialist before he has a fit of rage that he can't explain away.

Emily and Alexis have gone to the Metro Court for dinner. Em is glad that Alexis finally knows about Nik's blackouts, so she can talk to her about them. She says that the first round of tests show that nothing is out of the ordinary and they are waiting for the 2nd round of results to come in. She says that Nik is losing time and suggests that things might be better for Molly and Kristina if they move out for a while. Alexis suddenly realizes why Em lashed out at her earlier. She asks Em who would be there to protect her if they leave?

It's like Deja Vu.

At Wyndemere, Nikolas tells Emily that he's noticed that she is walking on eggshells with him. He says that he needs some fresh air and maybe a horseback ride would be good for them. Emily tells him that if he blacks out again, he could injure himself. Nikolas throws his coat down and demands that she stop treating him like a child. After he calms down, he apologizes. As he and Emily talk, Luke arrives and demands to know why Nik wasn't watching Lulu while he was gone!

Emily returns to the study and sees that Luke is gone and Nikolas has a cut. He assures her that Luke is fine and that he left already. He says that he accidentally broke something, that's all. Then he asks her how she would feel about hosting a formal ball? She asks if it's a good idea and he says that they could use a distraction. Besides, he's making an endowment to GH to help keep the vultures at Medcam away and the ball would be the perfect way to do it. Most importantly, he says, that the ball would be a gift for her because he loves her.

New Lovers!

At Wyndemere, Nikolas is admitting to Emily that he hates Jerry Jacks, but she says not the kind of guy who would stab someone - no matter what Jerry told her. He calmly says that he's worried that he could hurt her during one of his blackouts. He wonders if Jerry could be lying and then says that he needs to go find some answers.
