Lulu reports to work at Kelly's and Georgie says that she shouldn't work on her b-day. She says that Spinelli was in earlier working on a b-day poem for her. Georgie asks Lulu why she's not spending the day with Spinelli or one of her other guys. Lulu confides in Georgie by saying that after he bad experience with sex, she's not sure if she ever wants to go there again. Georgie asks, "You just left Logan's room, right?"
Georgie shows up at Kelly's for her shift. She tells Lulu that she can go, but Lulu tries to engage her into a conversation rather than head over to Jake's where she has agreed to a challenge with Logan via the pool table. For starters, she compliments Georgie's new hairdo. Georgie says that she needed to make a change and then gets Lulu to admit that she's avoiding going to Jake's. She explains that if she beats Logan at pool, he'll leave her alone. But if he wins, he gets to take her on one date. (Spinelli had come in the door at Kelly's. When he overheard, then he took off.) Lulu uses Georgie as a sounding board about her mixed feelings for Logan and Georgie points out that Spinelli is the kind of guy who's with a girl for the long run. "Are you saying that you could go for Spinelli?" Lulu asks. Georgie tells Lulu that Spinelli wants her and she's not going to put herself in that position again.
Spinelli goes to Jason's condo and realizes he has the place to himself. He pulls the gun safe out of the closet and opens it. As he picks up the gun, Georgie arrives. She is returning his wallet, but obviously has other reasons to see Spinelli. He gets the wrong idea and talks about making a change in his life. He pulls out the gun and tells Georgie he is going to become armed and dangerous! Georgie doesn't like this at all and tries to convince Spinelli not to carry but he is convinced that he needs a gun to protect his friends. Georgie takes the gun, deciding to teach Spinelli how to use a gun the right way.
Lulu and Georgie are at Kelly's. Lulu is telling Georgie how obnoxious Logan was when he "told" her that he would have a table for them at the Catacombs Club and that she should meet him there. Then she asks Georgie if maybe she's supporting the date because she wants to encourage Lulu to get involved with a bad boy as payback for last summer. Georgie says that Lulu had a very hard year and if there's something good between her in Logan, she deserves to check it out.
Skye goes to see Georgie at Kelly's. Georgie tells Skye that she's working hard to save money so she can spend her junior year at the Sorbonne in Paris. Skye is excited for her, and then she asks how Georgie is feeling about Dillon's move to LA. Georgie sadly says that Dillon moved on long before he left Port Charles and now it's her turn to do the same. Skye says that when you fall in love and it comes to an end, you have to move on with the rest of your life. Skye says that having Lila Rae makes it easier for her because she can't dwell on it. Skye sighs and says that she has no choice but to come up with a new plan.
Lulu goes to Mike and begs for her old job at Kelly's back. She says that she's going nuts at the Q house and promises that she'll be a much better waitress than she was last summer. Mike tells her that she can start tomorrow night. Just then Logan comes in and tells Lulu to cancel her plans because he's taking her out tomorrow night. Lulu tells Logan that she's working tomorrow and Mike winks at her and walks away. Logan can't believe that she has to work since she is essentially a Quartermaine. Lulu laughs and says she's just like him - penniless. He tells her that his status has changed because Sonny pays his employees well. In fact, he says that he has a table for them at the Catacomb Club tomorrow night. Just then Georgie comes in and Logan tells her he'll pay her $100 to cover Lulu's shift tomorrow night. Lulu apologizes to Georgie and Maxi comes out blazing at George for being nice to Lulu. Finally Mike yells at them for being loud, so Logan tells Lulu that it's her loss and leaves. Georgie tells Lulu that she will cover her shift if she wants to go out with Logan. Maxi asks Georgie why she is befriending the "little witch." Maxi stomps off and Georgie apologizes to Lulu. She explains that she could use the $100 because Mac has finally agreed to let her spend her senior year abroad, but she needs to pay for half of the expenses.
Dillon tells Georgie a little bit of what is bothering him but before he can tell her the whole thing Ned walks in - telling her that he wants Dillon to go with him to LA. Georgie can't believe the opportunity that Ned is offering but Dillon still isn't sure about it. He can't leave Tracy alone right now! Ned takes Dillon to a private table and tries to talk him into the LA move. He tells him that Tracy is manipulating him, which Dillon knows. "Our mother will survive without us," Ned tells him, assuring him that Tracey's latest crisis will be over soon whether he stays in PC or not. Watching them, Georgie asks another waitress to cover and leaves Kelly's.
Tracy fakes taking her meds and then hides the pills in a potted plant. Alan argues with her about Dillon, telling her to let the boy go. Lulu arrives. Tracy asks Lulu to help her out by convincing Dillon to stay in town! She believes that Lulu can convince him to stay when no one else can. Georgie walks in and tells Lulu about Dillon's job offer, and that Tracy is the only thing holding him in PC. "Busted," Alan says gleefully. Lulu is excited about the job offer, just like Georgie is; they both think Tracy is doing the wrong thing. Tracy disagrees and throws her failed marriage in Georgie's face. Lulu comes to Georgie's defense. Tracy makes one more plea, trying to get Lulu on her side. Lulu and Georgie leave. Alan continues to try to get through to Tracy, comparing Dillon to her. Just then Edward walks in, siding with Tracy! He believes LA is a mistake for Dillon, too. Tracy tells him to get her out of the sanitarium so she can fix Dillon's life! They begin arguing. Ned walks in, telling them to stop messing with Dillon's life. "Start thinking with your hearts," he advises them and tells them to let him go!
Dillon listens to Ned but isn't ready to leave his family in the lurch. Ned tells him this is a chance to really get to know one another, as brothers, without the familial interference. Still, Dillon doesn't think he can do it. He finally tells Ned that he isn't ready to leave his life and he isn't ready to leave Lulu! Georgie and Lulu return, together, both advising Dillon to take the job in LA and follow his dreams. Georgie asks Lulu for some time with Dillon and Lulu steps away. She tells him that she still cares about him but she wants him to go. She walks away. Dillon goes to Lulu's table. She tells him to go, too. Dillon still isn't ready. He tells her he cares about her and doesn't want to leave because of that. With tears in her eyes, Lulu tells him he can only be her friend.
Georgie is trying bus tables at Kelly's, but Dillon is following her around bringing her up to speed on the Q family. She is clearly annoyed and tells him that listening to the Quartermaine craziness is like "breathing secondhand smoke." Dillon looks like a hurt puppy, but not for long. Ned comes rushing in for a surprise visit. Dillon can't believe that Ned would endure the traffic from New York on the 4th of July just to visit their mom. Ned is excited as he says that he's come to see him. "I’m here to change your life," Ned proclaims. They take a table outside and Ned tells him about a position with a Hollywood director that he has recommended him for. It's going to take at least 7 months, Ned says. Dillon is trying to process how his life would have to change if he went for it. He says he would have to drop out of school, and then remembers that their mom is in Shady Brooke and needs help. Ned tells Dillon that it's not his fight. He explains that their Grandfather wants to take back ELQ and that's why Tracy has landed in Shady Brooke. Ned says that their mother is capable of taking care of herself and Dillon should focus on his own life.
