At his place, Jason tells Elizabeth that the two of them are going nowhere. Elizabeth responds, “I don’t expect it to,” but she wonders if he could open up to her like he did before. Jason tells her he’s too dangerous, but Elizabeth isn’t afraid. Jason says if anything happened to her, he couldn’t take it, but she can’t take not being with him. Elizabeth says it’s up to her to decide when she should walk away, but Jason doesn’t think Elizabeth realizes what she’d be dealing with. Liz needs to know if he feels the same way she does or if she’s crazy. Jason says she’s not crazy, as he runs to her and pulls her into a passionate kiss. Jason carries Liz to his bedroom and they continue to get intimate.
Spinelli comes home to a seemingly empty house and Carly comes over to see Jason. She is clearly distraught and Spinelli asks if he can help. Carly asks if he can use his computer to erase her past and get her husband back. Spinelli offers her a refreshment while she waits for Stone Cold, but she just wants to go upstairs to wash her face. She runs upstairs and barges in on Jason and Elizabeth making out on the bed.
Liz Makes a(nother) Move!
Liz is hiding in a doorway in Jason's office listening as he proves to be every bit as vile as Karpov is. Jason explains that he broke Karpov's guards' arms and cracked their knee caps to send a clear signal that they should not have hit Spinelli with their car. Karpov says that he received the message and leaves. Liz steps out of her hiding spot and Jason tells her to leave, too. Liz says that nothing she heard changes how she feels about him. Just then Cody rushes in and says they should tail Karpov because he made a call on his way out and asked someone to meet him. Jason picks up his gun and leaves Liz standing alone in his office.
Jason rushes out his door to get to a meeting, but he finds Liz standing there. She asks why he keeps running from her, and he says that he's tired of hurting her. He says that every time she nursed him back to health after a gunshot wound it was because he was shooting at people first! He reminds her that he had a chance to run away with her and the kids but he chose to stay and break the law, "What part of that makes you love me?" Liz says it's illogical and that's why it's love. She steps forward to kiss him and before long, he's kissing back.
ELizabeth, Carly's Mini Me?
An attendant at Shadybrook explains to Jason that Lulu was just taken away by officers of the court. Liz shows up and asks what he's doing there. Jason calls Nikolas and explains what happened. When he hangs up, Liz tells him that she misses him and doesn't understand why they can't have a very private relationship. Jason repeats his decision from last week and says that he doesn't think it would work.
Liz saunters into Jason's office and says that Carly just shows up, so why can't she? She adds that she used to be fearless and she liked herself that way. Cody announces that Karpov wants to see him and Jason tells Liz to leave! She suddenly seems more like Claudia or Carly than herself and seductively walks into a closet. Nervously, Jason lets Karpov into his office. Karpov says that two of his guards were brutally beaten last night by Jason's men. Jason says that he didn't order it, he did it himself.
Scott Calls Lulu to the Stand.
Patrick and Robin are at GH talking about a patient. They are all business and Robin seems unnerved by it. Later, she asks Liz why she's not relieved when she got what she wanted and Patrick dropped the subject of marriage. She says that Patrick has stepped up and she hasn't even met him halfway, what's more, now she has hurt him.
On Death Row?
Jason pays Spinelli a visit at GH and runs into Liz. Spinelli picks up on some tension between them and apologizes if it is because of him. Liz tells him to focus on his recovery and then leaves his room. Maxie rushes in soon after and informs Spinelli and Jason that she has been subpoenaed in Johnny's trial and she'd rather be shot dead than wear an orange jumpsuit the rest of her life. Spinelli tells her that she's under Jason's protection and Maxie asks Jason if he'll put a horse's head on Scott Baldwin's pillow to get her out of testifying? Jason tells her to get on the stand and tell the same story that she has several times already. Maxie worries that her internal editor will fly out the window when she's nervous.
Over at the nurse's desk, Nadine is excitedly telling Leyla about her romantic evening with Nik. When he comes in and acts as if it's just another day, her confidence in shaken a bit. Later she asks Liz if having a romantic evening is no big deal to someone like Nikolas and from behind her Nik says that's not true at all. He tells Nadine that he enjoys her company and hopes they can do it again soon.
Liz and Jason Revisit Their Decision.
As Liz and Jason share a hungry kiss, she unbuttons her blouse. Jason pulls away and reminds her that they can't be together. She tells him that she needs him and that she has no expectations from him anymore. He doesn't want to hurt her, and she promises to walk away if it becomes too painful. When he resists, she asks if he's stopped loving her. He says that he can't do this anymore but she pushes to know how he feels. "If you don't love me, just say it so I can let this all go," she says. He says he should lie and say that he doesn't care about her but he can't hurt her on purpose even if it sets her free. She just wants to know if their love is her imagination. "You know I love you," are his last words as he walks out the door.
