Ric has just busted into the D.A.'s office to find Jerry and Alexis kissing. He tells Alexis that the state representatives are on their way up to her office for a photo op. He says that her current relationship can't stand up to the scrutiny involved and Jerry says that a simple phone call would have been appreciated. Alexis asks Jerry to leave and then tells Ric to respect her privacy. He says that he doesn't begrudge her right to a life outside of work and the girls, but he worries that Jerry will turn on her in a heart beat.
Jax goes to Alexis's office to see how she is doing after her meltdown at The Haunted Star last night. He takes note of the flowers and Alexis spills that she slept with his brother. She says that she was terrified last night and Jerry held her together. She says that she is perfectly aware of all of his former wrongdoings, but somehow she trusts him now. Jerry shows up and Jax punches him in the face.
Lights, Camera, No Action.
Alexis warmly greets a co-worker as she opens the door to her office. Inside are several vases of fresh flowers. Before she can find a card, Nik shows up in her doorway and asks if someone died. As she looks around for a clue of who sent them, Nik tells her about the permits he needs from Mayor Floyd's office and asks her to help. Finally he finds the card and reads it to her, "Last night was just the beginning." He sees Jerry's name and asks his aunt what she was thinking! He reminds her that her new lover poisoned him, blackmailed Emily and held 16 people hostage before he blew up The Metro Court. Alexis casually listens as he contends that Jerry is much worse than all the men in her past life put together and might just end up killing her. She counters by saying that Jerry did all of those awful things before he reconciled with Jax. Nik isn't buying the redemption act and Alexis says she's not in love, but deserves a "little somethin' somethin' every now and then." Nik asks her to think about what she's doing and then leaves.
Diane shows up, sees the flowers and knows exactly where Alexis was last night. She grumbles about the dangers of sleeping with the likes of Jerry Jacks and then asks for coffee. Diane puts the lecture aside and asks Alexis how it was with him? Alexis tells her there are no words for it and brags about how good she normally is with words. They talk about the animal magnetism of their respective bad boys and pinky promise not to turn their backs on them, (figuratively speaking, as Diane points out).
Diane has no sooner left the seemingly revolving door of the D.A.'s office when the bad boy of the hour appears through it. Alexis orders him to remove the flowers from her office, but he reminds her of the various places they had sex last night and how each bouquet represents a different one. He tells her that they are good for each other and kisses her. She fights it for a minute or two but finally gives into it. Jerry reminds her that there is only one morning after a first time and encourages her to make love yet again. That's when Ric walks in.
Beware of the Pizza Delivery Boy.
On The Haunted Star, Alexis tells Jax and Kate to remove themselves from Carly and Sonny's lives to avoid watching them reconcile. Sonny tells Alexis to leave Carly out of this and Alexis points out that he protects Carly but not his own daughter. Jerry has arrived and insists that Alexis leave with him now. She thinks for a minute, nods and says, "How can you be any worse than the mistakes that I've already made?" After they leave Jax and Kate hurry to explain away the scene Alexis made to Giselle and whisk her back to the Crimson office. Jax tells Giselle that Sonny will escort his wife home and Kate gives Sonny a steely glare as she follows along.
Jerry has taken Alexis back to his room at The Metro Court. She matter-of-factly says that she should be at home packing up her life and taking her girls away. Jerry asks why she is reacting to Michael's shooting now? Alexis tells him about Anthony Zacchara's threat to Kristina today and Jerry promises that he would never let that monster hurt her daughter. She says that she doesn't need a criminal to defend her and he reminds her that he has done everything she ever accused him of and is perfectly capable of keeping Kristina safe. He asks her to let him help her and promises that Anthony will disappear. She asks if he's going to kill him and Jerry refuses to incriminate himself in front of the D.A. He gives her a little kiss and she draws him in for a big one. When it's over, she regains her composure and says that she has bad taste in men. He tells her that she's safe with him and will prove it to her. He draws her in for another passionate kiss.
Alexis Won't Be Denied.
Alexis has called Carly into her office to talk about Kristina. Carly reminds her that she has already gone to Sonny to ask him to give up rights to Kristina. Alexis asks her to try again. Carly denies having any influence over Sonny, but Alexis gets teary and says that Morgan shouldn't have to lose a sister too. Carly tells Alexis to navigate her own hell because she's busy with her own.
Diane approaches Alexis's office just as Carly is leaving. Alexis hopes that Diane was able to find a legal loop hole for her, but Diane reports that Alexis doesn't have any legal grounds to stand on. She invites Alexis to come back to The Haunted Star with her and relax and Alexis asks if she's being obtuse on purpose? She says that she's too busy having a nervous breakdown. Diane leaves and Alexis yells that she's sorry.
Instead of Diane coming back through Alexis's door, it's Logan behind the wheel of Anthony Zacchara's wheel chair. The old man immediately starts telling Alexis about how "uniquely positioned" her little daughter is with a D.A. for a mother and a mob kingpin for a father. Alexis coldly tells him that Sonny is retired and if he ever hurts her daughter she'll make sure he's gone forever.
