Alexis has called Luke to meet her at the Elm Street pier. She claims that she wants to do him a favor, but before she gets down to business she wants his manly opinion on something. She asks him what is so alluring about a woman who dresses like a streetwalker and "vomits her sexuality on the lap of every man she meets?" Luke is confused for a minute, and then says that she clearly caught her man with his hands in Claudia Zachhara's cookie jar. Alexis says that if Jerry Jacks wants to crawl into bed with a blow-up doll she doesn't care. Now that that's settled, Luke wants to know why she called him, unless she wanted him to become her girlfriend all of a sudden. She tells him that the D.A.'s office got word of the fact that he made $500,000 too quickly on his opening night and because they are girlfriends now, she's going to turn her head this time.
More Heartbreak for Carly.
Alexis and Jerry are in the interrogation room at the PCPD. "Did you have anything to do with it (the botched hit on Sonny)?" she asks. Jerry says that he does not know Dr. Devlin other than that he has seen him around town. He quickly changes the subject and says that he's trying to tear down the wall between them but she insists on building it back up. He calls her stubborn and she calls him a liar. He softly tells her that he has changed, thanks to her and Jax, and explains that he hopes she can be one of the good things in his life from now on. He asks if he can prove that to her. She makes a feeble attempt at claiming that she's busy but finally gives in to a dinner date. After he leaves, Mac asks her if he should assign someone to investigate Jerry Jacks and she says that she's on it.
Let's Hear It For the Boys.
Jason has spent the night in jail. Alexis finds him in the interrogation room and says that his story about protecting Maxie holds up and all she needs to know is what Devlin said before he died. Jason won't talk without Diane, but he doesn't have to wait long because she appears in just a few minutes. As if Jason isn't in the room, Alexis and Diane argue over the legality of Jason's actions in the name of protecting Maxie. Alexis turns to Jason and promises that she will go after Michael's shooter if only he'll tell her what Devlin said. She says that she doesn't want Morgan and Kristina to be the next in line and then leaves. Once alone with her client, Diane asks Jason if Devlin said anything and Jason says, "Not anything you need to know." She promises to get him out in about fifteen minutes and apologizes that she wasn't able to do so last night because she was otherwise engaged. She asks Jason not to mention it to Sonny and he says that one night in lockup is nothing compared to what Michael is facing.
Alexis calls Jerry to the PCPD to ask him what his connection to Ian Devlin is. She tells him that there are too many similarities between the two men's backgrounds for them not to have been working together at some point. Jerry doesn't flinch, but he doesn't say anything either.
One Less Evil Citizen in Port Charles.
Alexis is at the Metro Court bar acting as if she's not waiting for Jerry. He arrives right on time, plucks her blackberry from her hands and then kisses her. "Pot Meet Kettle!" Diane jumps up from behind the bar and asks who has the weakness for a bad boy now? She storms off jubilant over her bust and Alexis tries to explain to Jerry how strange her friend is. Jerry points out that her friend is sleeping with Sonny's body guard and Alexis is stunned that he knows that. He simply points to the other side of the dining room and reveals Diane and Max making out. Alexis makes her way over and tells Diane she's making a fool of herself. Diane claims that she and Max were simply talking about the Dodgers and points out that Alexis is canoodling with the Metro Court hostage taker. Alexis abruptly returns to her table with Jerry, and Diane and Max quickly leave to go take a room upstairs. Her phone rings, but she decides to let it ring. Alexis, however, answers hers and finds out that Jason killed Ian Devlin.
Beginnings.
Claudia has taken the stand in her father's hearing. Alexis is trying to get Claudia to admit that her father has threatened her life, but Claudia isn't cooperating. When asked, she says that her father didn't tamper with her brakes, she just had a little car trouble that's all. Alexis continues to question her whereabouts last night and Claudia sheepishly admits that she had a date with Jason! Diane takes over the questioning because Alexis is flustered at her own witness's change of direction. Claudia doesn't answer Diane's questions either and merely makes a point of saying that her daddy loves her.
Nuts or Not Nuts, That is the Question.
Diane finds Alexis in the courtroom and offers her services as 2nd chair in hopes of keeping Anthony behind bars. Alexis says that she is tainted by her association with Sonny, but Diane argues that Ric has an entire medical team to attest to AZ's newfound sanity. Alexis won't budge, so Diane sits behind her and says she'll be ready to jump in when she needs her.
Back at the courthouse, the hearing is about to get underway. Spinelli shows up and tells Diane that he is the "eyes and ears" of Sonny and Stone Cold. Anthony is wheeled in and sizes up his offspring who have seated themselves on the D.A.'s side. When the judge appears, Alexis announces that Diane Miller will be 2nd chair. After Trevor and Ric have had their say, Spinelli jumps up and objects prematurely. He proceeds to list all of AZ's crimes as only he can do and is thus escorted out of the courtroom. Alexis makes her case of how dangerous AZ is and then Ric speaks about his client's illness at the time of his crimes. (An illness that he has now recovered from by the way!) Alexis calls Claudia to the stand, who tells the court that her father sent her out of the country years ago. Alexis tries to establish Claudia's opinion as to whether her father is sane or not and then asks if AZ has ever threatened her life. Claudia glares at her father and doesn't speak.
Shortest Casino Opening in History?
At that very moment Alexis comes in, along with Mac and Detective Harper, and shuts down The Haunted Star. Mac tells Luke that his patrons are at risk for being caught up in mob activity and that they are suspicious of money laundering. Luke tells his guests that they'll reopen as soon as they get things straightened out. Under her breath, Alexis tells Ric that if he manages to get Anthony released it's only a matter of time before the violence begins.
The Morgue Gets a New Body.
Jax finds Morgan downstairs calling the hospital and asking to speak to Michael. Jax gently explains that Michael is still sleeping. He spends some time with Morgan, but the little guy wants his mommy. Jax promises that Carly will be home as soon as she can. After Morgan goes to bed, Jerry comes over. Two brothers pour some wine and talk about the awful predicament the family is in. Jax goes up to check on Morgan and Alexis comes over. Jerry pours her a glass of wine and she tells him what a bad idea he is for her. Jerry reminds her that they only shared a kiss under a table. She says that she may flirt with him or even get under the table with him but he's NOT going to happen for her. Jerry seems encouraged.
