Trevor shows up at The Haunted Star to warn Luke never to get between a father and his son. As they bicker about Anthony setting Johnny up, Sonny walks in and asks what Trevor is doing here. Luke asks if he can make him go away? Sonny and Luke immediately pour scotch and start dealing cards and try to act as if Trevor isn't standing there telling them what small players they really are. He taunts Sonny with losing Kate and then reminds Luke that he promised to get Lulu away from Johnny. After Trevor leaves, Luke tells Sonny that he's hearing things about Pier 52. Sonny says that tonight he's going to take back what belongs to him.
Lulu and Luke go to the PCPD to see Johnny. Luke asks for details to be better able to help out. After Johnny explains about his family situation, he admits that he doesn't have an alibi for when the so-called assault took place. Lulu assures him that her dad will be able to turn his case around.
Luke and Lulu show up at the nurses' desk to see Liz. Luke tries to play the 'daughter-in-law' card, but she reminds him that they're exes. He jokes that once you're a Spencer you're always a Spencer. Then he proceeds to question Liz about Carl Purvis (the guy who Johnny allegedly beat up) and his medical case. Liz says that she can't divulge private information, but offers that visiting hours just began and Carl is in room #1014.
Meanwhile, Lulu congratulates Luke on his perfect impersonation of Carl Purvis. When Ric shows up at the meeting spot, Luke tells him that if Purvis doesn't back off he'll take this matter to DA Davis. Ric calmly tells him that anyone who gets in Anthony's way is road kill.
Mike meets Luke at The Haunted Star and learns that he and Bobbie are ready to have Kelly's rebuilt and they want him to oversee the work. Mike is happy for the work, but Luke says that Bobbie wants to make sure that this time around the diner is clean of organized crime. Mike offers to put up a sign that says, "No Shirts, No Shoes, No Mob" and promises to keep his eyes open.
Lulu goes to The Haunted Star and finds Luke under the roulette table working on the 'cheat button'. She explains Johnny's situation and asks Luke to help them out. Luke lightens up and offers to teach his princess a few new tricks.
Edward approaches Luke and asks him to hurry up and win Tracy back because she's driving them nuts. Luke says that he's trying, but Edward says that he has to grovel and use romance. He admits to getting the boot from Lila many times, but he always won her back.
Luke shows up and tells Robert that he looks seasick. He reminds his old friend that he has recovered national treasures and stopped wars from taking place, and asks what's the big deal here? Robert tells him that he'll get it when he walks his daughter down the aisle. "Bite your tongue," Luke snipes.
Lulu and Nikolas show up at Lucky's house and promptly order pizza for their Christmas Eve dinner. Luke shows up with a Christmas tree and the first thing they all ask is how much he's had to drink. He brushes their skepticism off and comments about how 'unfestive' they are. Just then, Spinelli and Maxie show up to spread some holiday cheer. Spinelli hears some jingle bells and reaches into his magical Santa suit and pulls out a key for Lulu. He promises it will bring her cheer.
After Spinelli and Maxie rush off, Lucky and Nik go to the attic to get the ornaments. Later, Luke recalls the story about a long-ago Christmas in which Laura insisted on putting an angel on top of their tree even though they didn't have enough money for it. Lucky looks everywhere for the angel, but can't find it. When he finally produces a locked box, Lulu tries the key Spinelli gave her and pulls out the Angel. She can't believe her eyes. The phone rings and Luke answers it. It's Laura! They all wish her a Merry Christmas and Lulu puts the angel on the top of their tree.
