Sam has asked Lucky to meet her on The Haunted Star because she got a strange email from Luke. He looks at it and hurriedly tucks it away when Tracy comes onboard asking if he heard from his father. They ask her why she isn't with him and Tracy says that she got tired of the everlasting pub crawl. She informs them that she took Luke's money when he was too drunk to notice and it's been ten days so she thought he'd be home by now. After she leaves, Lucky tells Sam that his dad must not want Tracy to know he's contacted them because the email is in code. He reads it again, it says, "Liberate the stowaway marbles and send them to Papa at the Purple Papoose." He quickly finds some hidden jewels under the roulette marbles and says that the Purple Papoose is Luke's favorite place in Mexico. He says he needs to get them to Luke right away and Sam says that she's coming along!

At the PCPD Mac is livid that Alexis is having Luke released. Ric is none too pleased either and pulls Alexis out of the holding room so they can talk privately. Alexis tells him that Luke's heart condition and his wife are enough reasons to assume that he'll stick around town. Ric contends that she's abusing her position as D.A. While they're alone, Luke and Tracy talk about the predicament he's in. She asks what he did to make Anthony Zacchara frame him and Luke doesn't know, but he intends to find out. Alexis rejoins them and says that he's free to go but he shouldn't even think about leaving town. Luke gives a cocky little salute in response and shakes his hands free of the cuffs.

Tracy shows up on The Haunted Star with a wad of cash for Luke to take on the run. He tells her that won't be necessary and produces a briefcase full of Zacchara money. He tells her there is enough of it to include a traveling companion and Tracy scoffs that limber Anna Devane will be pleased. Luke sweetly tells her that his traveling companion of choice is his wife. He promises her the ride of their lives and she turns and leaves without a word. Luke yells after her but is very happy to see that she's only retrieved her packed bags from the hallway. He lays a big kiss on her and they're off!

Oopsie.

Luke and Tracy are on The Haunted Star and Luke grumbles about what a slow night it is. Tracy is glad because that means less money to launder. She informs him that if business ever does pick up she'll call in an infectious disease warning about the place. Luke tells her that she looks radiant tonight and that he doesn't scare that easily. She playfully shows him that she's wearing the ring and he decides to send his staff home. He offers his wife to a new kind of challenge and she looks intrigued. With the click of a finger the blues start playing and the Spencers dance. Before they get through their first turn, Trevor comes in flashing a wad of bills and says he was ready to play some high stakes cards. Luke turns the music off and asks what they're playing for. Trevor says they can cut cards for the waterfront property. He says if Luke wins he'll hand over the deed and if he wins Lulu moves to Turkey far away from Johnny. Luke decides to go for it and ends up drawing a two of hearts. Before Trevor can gloat, Detective Harper and Lucky come in and arrest Luke for money laundering. Lucky tells Trevor that he's coming down to the station too. Trevor doesn't seem too worried.

Luke is brought into the PCPD in cuffs and Alexis approaches him right away. She asks how he let this happen and he tells her that he was framed. Tracy is busy with Mac trying to arrange bail but learns that the charges are federal so there won't be any bail. Ric shows up to represent Zacchara interests but tells Mac that his father can rot. Mac says at this point he has nothing to implicate the Zacchara family yet, but Luke made $50,000 in a few hours. Luke tries to chalk it up to lousy gamblers. Trevor is told he is free to go and Tracy gets in his face and spits, "I will hurt you in ways that don't even exist yet."

Fathers and Sons.

Tuesday, May 13 2008

There's a war brewing at the Quartermaine mansion. Tracy wants her Daddy to fire Alice for the dust bunnies growing under her bed, but Edward won't hear of it. Tracy rants who is on her side around here? Alan is, that's who. He appears and tells her that she's mad at Luke, not Alice. Tracy sits down and tells him that she's not mad at her husband, she's afraid for him. She argues with him, while Alice and Edward watch. When Luke arrives they welcome him because they think he can help Tracy from slipping back into madness.

Luke, followed by Alice and Edward, steps into the parlor. He asks everyone to leave, including Alan, and then tells Tracy that he won't let her deny the fact that they love each other any longer. He says that he knows he's not a great catch, but he's better with her. He says that he's deeply flawed, but he offers his broken body and battered heart and asks her to wear her wedding ring again. She asks about their fundamental differences and he suggests they ignore them. He asks her to give him a chance to treat her the way she deserves to be treated.
