When Tracy is alone with Edward he tells her that something is fishy. He asks why she's not yelling like a banshee now that she's lost Luke. Tracy says that she's free and happy, that's all. Then she admits that she'll never divorce Luke, but he doesn't need to know that yet. She has no idea that Luke is listening outside the door.
Down in the Dominican Republic, Tracy pretty much has no choice but to sit down with Luke and play poker until the storm passes. In between hands, Luke reminds her that she's the one who made him want to live after having his heart attacks. Tracy says that she knows he loves her but what happens when Laura waltzes back into his life? Luke says he's too drunk for logic and tries to get her to play a new game with him. When he can see that Tracy won't get off the subject, he admits to having feelings for the mother of his children but adds that those feelings do not diminish his love for her.
A cab in Dominican Republic has dropped Tracy off in front of a shack. Before taking off, the driver assures her that she can get her divorce inside. When she goes in she finds that the place is a bar and Luke is the only patron. "Welcome to the Dominican Republic Senora Spencer," Luke says with a 'zombie' in his hand. Tracy's furious to be set up by the cabby, but all Luke wants to know is if she brought her bathing suit. When she turns to leave, she discovers that a monsoon is about to strike. Luke makes her a mango Mai Tai and says that he wants to relive their romantic evenings together. Tracy reminds him of all he's done wrong and he counters by saying that their good times outweigh the bad. Once again, he clarifies that he did not choose Laura and she is his wife. As Tracy grumbles, he pulls out a deck of cards and starts shuffling them.
At the Quartermaine's Alice, Edward and Monica are plotting against Tracy. Tracy arrives and angrily yells at Monica about changing meeting dates and times. She turns to Edward and says he would have seen what Monica was doing if he wasn't meddling in ELQ business. Then, she turns on Alice and tells her to do her job – which includes fresh ice on the bar. Alice runs to do her bidding. Monica and Edward hurry away. Alan appears and says life without Luke is bleak. She says she is moving on – without Luke! He tells her to go to Luke but she refuses. Later, Luke arrives and Edward asks him to move back in! Luke wonders what is going on. Edward says he was talking with Monica and Alice and they all think this is the right thing to do for Tracy; Luke asks what is really going on. "My daughter is a horrible, wretched woman and losing you has put this on a whole other level," Edward says and offers Luke anything he wants just as long as he makes up with Tracy. Tracy walks in and says she will have Luke arrested! She calls Edward senile and says she doesn't love Luke and is tired of being the back-up wife. Luke is about to leave when Monica, Edward and Alice walk in and beg him to stay. They make Luke comfortable, annoying Tracy. "This could work for you, Wife," Luke says, "because misery loves company!" Alice gives Luke a pedicure and places Edward's slippers on Luke's feet. Edward starts to object but Luke mentions returning to the Haunted Star and he backs off. Luke requests lobster for dinner and Alice hurries to the kitchen. Tracy returns and calls to have the Q jet prepared for a trip to the Dominican Republic – and a quickie divorce!
Tracy is at the Quartermaine bar swigging single malt scotch. Alan appears momentarily and reminds her that she still loves Luke. He disappears as Lulu, Monica, Edward and Alice enter the room. Monica says that she's the Chief-of-Staff now and can't have Tracy and Luke's bickering interfere with her sleep. Tracy announces that Luke doesn't live there anymore, but he appears through the terrace door anyway. He plops down on a massage table in front of Alice and enjoys a deep-tissue massage as the family argues over who is welcome and who isn't. Lulu is, Luke isn't. Luke asks Alice to clear the room so he can speak with his wife.
He tells Tracy that he loves her and isn't going anywhere. He admits that he also loves Laura because she is the mother of his children. Tracy tells him that if he wants to win someone back, he should work on Laura.
"I will always love your mother," Luke tells Lulu on The Haunted Star. He adds that he would have gone to France with Laura if she would have asked him to. From the other side of the entrance, Tracy listens in horror. After Lulu leaves, Tracy breezes up to the bar and asks Luke if things can get back to normal soon. Luke tells her some of his ideas for renovation in an effort keep the high rollers in the joint. Tracy asks if he is prepared to put in the time for such a thing and Luke says that he has no plans of leaving town. Then he thanks Tracy for her patience during the whole Laura thing.
Ric arrives and Luke thinks he's delivering the cash from Johnny, but Ric says that Anthony doesn't think it's a sound investment. Luke gets in his face and says that he'll blast the place to hell rather than let Anthony Zacchara have a say in his business. Tracy threatens to sue and Luke insists that the offer stands. He adds that the Russians roasted Kelly's and reminds Ric that Anthony has other fish to fry with a mob war breaking out.
After Ric leaves, Luke tells Tracy that they're still a good team. Through a phony smile, Tracy says that she knows she is his second choice because she heard him tell Lulu he wanted to go to France with Laura. Luke tries to explain that he wishes Laura happiness but it won't be with him, but Tracy tells him that their marriage is over! She says that her heart would've healed, but this time he has stomped on her pride. "You don't want to lose us anymore than I do," Luke argues. She agrees, and says that's why it's so sad.
Over at the Quartermaine house, Laura tells Tracy that she's perfectly capable of fighting for what's hers. Tracy brazenly reminds her that Luke isn't hers anymore no matter how many times 'The Legend of Luke and Laura' is rammed down all of their throats. She then gives Laura a little refresher course and reminds her that Laura wanted the house with the flowersbeds and white picket fences, but Luke wanted to hit the road. Laura lets her finish and then asks Tracy what she and Luke have in common? Tracy softly says that they are both cynics and their relationship works for them because Luke doesn't have to be a hero, he gets to be himself. Laura tells her not to kid herself because Luke does love her. Nonetheless, she promises not to bother Tracy again though because she heard what she needed to know. After she's gone, Tracy lets out a sob.
