Luke even sings "His Way."

At the hospital, Luke wakes up from a nap to find Skye sitting with him. She tells him that she'll be waiting for him when his surgery is over, but Tracy comes in and throws her out. Luke tells Tracy that she's being selfish and mean-spirited so that can only mean one thing - her conscience will kick in no time. Just then, Alan appears right on cue. He talks to her about how much she needs to hear the Christmas story tonight because she has forgotten how to be generous of spirit. Lulu arrives, so Alan stops taking. Luke tells Tracy and Lulu that he wants a "Viking funeral". He says that he wants to be laid in a row boat, set aflame and then pushed out into the harbor. Tracy quips that wouldn't be any fun unless he was alive. Luke chuckles and then says he wants to be cremated and then everyone can have a drink on him and listen to Sinatra music. Bobbie comes in and tells them that it's time for surgery.

"And the Angle said to them 'fear not for unto you is born this day in the city of David…" Alan reads to Tracy as she waits in Luke's room. She wants him to stop, but he reads on. Finally Dillon comes in and she is thrilled to see him. She gives into her fear and hugs her son and Alan tells her "Merry Christmas."

Diane is Back!

Luke wakes up in his hospital bed and almost forgets where he is. Tracy asks how his hangover feels. Luke tells her that she won't get a sobriety pledge from him any time soon. He points out that he agreed to the surgery, nothing else. "If my post-surgical ticker can't keep up with the rest of me, I'll die a free and happy man," he says. Then he is taken for blood work and Tracy isn't pleased, yet she tidies up his bed anyway. As she does, Skye pops in to see Luke. When Tracy tells her that it could be hours, Skye leaves a note for him. Tracy opens it the moment she is gone. "Dear Tracy, quit being so insecure, you can't keep Luke away from me forever," Skye writes. Just then, Alan appears to tell Tracy how selfish she is being. Tracy says that Luke is her husband and she doesn't want him to spend the last time that he has left with Skye!

Daddy Spinelli?

Alan is with Tracy in the Q study. He tells her that Luke is walking into a mob war and she needs to stay away from it. His concern? If she gets killed they will be destined to haunt the family together forever. Tracy tells him that he is not a ghost, only a stress-related condition. Luke comes in and asks what she's talking about with Alan. Tracy says that Alan is dead and they pour a drink. Luke says that the only way to get rid of Logan is to get rid of Scott. She laughs at how willing he always is to get rid of Scott, and then offers to help.

Nik comes clean with Emily.

Carly is trying to rush out the door (to meet Johnny), but Tracy has arrived on her doorstep. She wants Carly to try to influence Lulu to move out of Jason's penthouse. Alan is there, too, telling Tracy that Carly won't be any help. Then he tells Tracy that her skin turns a strange color when she's desperate. Tracy waves him off and Carly turns to see what the heck she is looking at. As Tracy tries to convince Carly that Lulu is in danger at Jason's, Alan won't leave Tracy alone. Finally she tells him to shut up already. Carly's eyes get big when she realizes that Tracy really is talking to dead people. She laughs and then says that dragging Lulu back to the mansion won't bring Luke back to her bed. She agrees to talk to Lulu about moving in with one of her brothers, and then tries to rush Tracy out the door. But it's too late - Jax comes home! Jax greets Tracy and she tells Carly that she's sorry she kept her from slipping out before her husband came home. Carly's cell indicates that a text has come in and Jax tries to pick it up because he thinks it's the Montreal hotel trying to reach him. Carly grabs it and says it's probably just Dr. Lee's office telling her that she's late for her appointment. She kisses him and leaves.

Woe is Logan.

Scott swoops into the Q parlor and plops down in Alan's chair. Tracy screams, but it turns out that Alan isn't there yet. (After Scott stands up and orders black coffee from Alice, Alan appears.) Edward wants to talk about his step-granddaughter (Lulu) and his obligation to protect her from her "worst impulses" -- such as shacking up with Logan. They want Scott to use his position as special prosecutor to have her arrested for something. He won't hear of it, mainly because Lulu is of age. Alice says that Mr. Luke would be really mad at Scott if he had his daughter arrested and Scott suddenly reconsiders.

Now it's only Tracy and Alan left in the Q study. Alan asks if she thinks Lulu went to find Dillon. Tracy reports that he's on location in Montana and then comments that there's nothing like the pain of your first heartbreak. She says that she's glad that Lulu found out the truth about Logan sooner than later. Alan comments that Tracy has never found a man that's worthy of her and Tracy says, "Luke is. And now I've let him down."

Kate's Caught.

At the Q mansion, Edward, Monica and Scott are telling Lulu why she shouldn't see Logan. Logan calls Scott "pops" and Alan says that Logan has Scott's same smirky facial expression. As Lulu and Logan stand up to leave, Lulu says that she'll just move it with Logan if they won't let her see him. Edward tells Alice to chain her to a chair. Tracy urges Lulu to stay because if Luke finds out that she let her move in with Logan, he'll divorce her. Edward suddenly has a change of heart. He puts Lulu's hand in Logan's and says, "Here ya go dear, take the monkey and run." Scott tells Lulu that she has other options, like Bobbie's brownstone, for example. Logan says that Lulu doesn't need any of them because she has him. They walk out the door and Tracy is furious.

Quality Time with the Q's.

At the Q mansion, Tracy bellows for Alice. Alice comes rushing into the parlor thinking that Tracy is having a mental relapse and offers to call Shady Brooke. Tracy simply wants her to arrange for a quickie DNA test for Scott and Logan. Monica and Edward come into the room and Edward tells Lulu and Logan to scoot apart from each other on the sofa. Monica is looking for her medical journal and no matter how many times Alan tells her that it's in the third drawer, she doesn't seem to have a clue. For some reason they start to talk about all of the interlopers who have finagled their way into the Q family and -- among other things -- Lulu learns that Jason is really Susan Moore's son and Skye was originally thought to be the product of one of Alan's infidelities. Monica wistfully says that if Skye hadn't shown up, Alan would still be here. Alan sadly tells Tracy what to say to Monica, "Tell her not to think that way -- it doesn't help." Tracy obliges and Monica seems touched by her sister-in-law's uncharacteristic tenderness.

After the DNA test, Tracy, Scott, Lulu and Logan go back to the Q house. Edward says that neither of the men are welcome here. Scott reminds him that he's the only reason that Tracy isn't still playing checkers at Shady Brook. Alan asks Tracy if she's planning on keeping Scott around forever. Tracy gets frustrated and tells Alan to stop it. They all comment that she's talking to the chair again. Monica says that she wishes she could see Alan and Alan tells her that he does to. Then Alice suggests that they should put Shady Brook on speed dial.
