Georgie is covering for Maxi at the hospital and Dillon finds her there. She wants to know why he's looking for her. He tells her that she might get mad, but wants to know if Lulu is in her study group. He was right; Georgie is mad. She tells Dillon to stay out of whatever mess it is that Lulu has landed in.
At the PCPD, Lucky finds Detective Cruse to ask why he warned him not to trust Ric. But, Maxi “accidentally” runs into Lucky while on her way to visit Mac. She suggests that since they're both there, can they talk about their baby? Lucky lays into her for showing up at his parent's wedding uninvited. Liz goes to the PCPD and finds Lucky talking to Maxi. Lucky quickly tries to brush Maxi off, but Liz says that she knows they have to meet from time to time because of the baby. She's there to see Sam anyway. Just then, Georgie and Dillon come in to report Lulu as a missing person. Lucky thinks Lulu is just having a hard time dealing with the loss of their mother.
Lulu storms outside of Kelly's to continue her argument with her Professor. She finds that he's talking with a couple rough-looking guys. Pete turns his back on them to hand Lulu a text book. (He's hidden his cell phone in it as some kind of clue to what's going on.) She's puzzled when he pronounces that she'd better read the book before class. Then, Pete turns back to the thugs and announces that they can go now. After he walks away, Lulu opens the book and reads the text message from Spinelli. “Hiding out from cops and gangsters, need your help.” Dillon walks up to her and asks what that was all about? Lulu hides the phone and says that Pete was riding her hard about her school work. Just then, Georgie joins them and Dillon reports that he's learned from Skye that Diego will be buried in South America. As he tries to comfort Georgie over the death of her friend, Lulu sneaks a peak at Pete's cell phone and reads a new text: “BBQ chips and money at the surf shop.” Lulu tells them that she's off to do some extra credit, and takes off.
Georgie and Dillon start to argue about Lulu, again. Georgie doesn't understand why Dillon feels as if he needs to be Lulu's personal guardian. They kiss and make up, but Pete runs in and asks where Lulu went. Dillon jumps, “Is she in trouble?”
At the Quartermaine's, Dillon reveals to Lulu that Luke and Tracy are still very much married. Lulu looks shocked.
At the Quartermaine's, Lulu is questioning Dillon about Luke and Tracy still being married. She wants to know if Tracy agreed to the bigamy. Dillon assures Lulu that Tracy didn't want any part of it and tried to voice her objection to the wedding. “Wedding?” Lulu shouts. She insists there wasn't one. It was just another Luke Spencer scam. “You want to know the sickest and saddest part?" She asks. "I'm happy my mother doesn't know that my father's big declaration of love was just a show. He didn't mean it.” She's angry that Luke would lie to avoid the risk of losing Tracy and her money.
Over at the Quartermaine's, Tracy is pouring a big drink on the rocks. Ned is casually sitting on the sofa. Monica and Alan are looking at books. Emily wants to know why no one came to the table with Alice called them. Twice! She wants to know if they realize that there is a turkey waiting, with all the trimmings. For once – they don't have to eat pizza! Dillon pipes up that no one is hungry this year. Alan explains that no one wants to fake their way through saying grace anyway. Emily wants to know why they can't give thanks for all of their blessings? Monica agrees with Tracy for once – there really isn't a heck of a lot to be thankful for.
Frustrated, Emily yells for Alice – who comes running in to see why the normally polite Emily is bellowing for her. Emily tells Alice to pack up every scrap of food, the china, the works. “Since the family can't be bothered to give thanks for all they have, we're just going to give the meal to people who will appreciate it.”
Back at Shady Brooke, Luke is holding Laura's hand as she stares blankly off in the distance. He tells her that the kids have all gone home and whatever she talked to them about must've made them feel better. Then he gets down on his knees and makes one final plea. “Sweetheart, Laura... come back. Laura, come back! She is trying so hard, her eyes flicker a little.
Luke says, 'I wish I had the words to express to you how wonderful having you in my life has been all these years." He thinks she's gone again, but she's snaps out of it and tells him that when she drifts off, she goes to a beautiful place. She adds, “But nothing is as beautiful as looking in your eyes and knowing that we love each other. Always will.” He agrees. “Always." He moves in to smile at her, very closely, and then they kiss.
In the Quartermaine study, Edward starts the (traditional Thanksgiving) song, “We gather together…” Everyone joins in. They all look very happy and relieved to have heard from Jason. There are two very sober looking faces in the room, however. Tracy and Nikolas. Emily reaches down and holds his hand.
(A slow, haunting song titled "Angel" by Robin Thicke plays... under the following montage of scenes)
1. Patrick and Robin are out of surgery. They exchange a loving, but tired look and walk over to join the hospital Thanksgiving buffet.
2. Sam is crying alone in jail, looking out the barred window. At the same time Jason is looking out the window at Liz's studio. Then, he limps over to the sofa and sits down.
3. Lucky and Cameron are playfully nuzzling, nose-to-nose. Elizabeth and Audrey are watching them.
4. Lulu has been crying, but she gets up when there's a knock at the door. It's Dillon.
(The song fades away.)
Dillon tells Lulu how sorry he is about her mother. She tells him that her mom was totally brave. She, of course, had a tantrum like a 5 year-old and totally flipped out. He tells her she's allowed to flip out, there's nothing else you can do. She tells him that there is something she can do. “I can prove that she's innocent.”
Dillon tells Georgie to stop changing the salt and pepper shakers and pay attention to him. She admits that she hates how much he defends Lulu. She reminded him the Lulu isn't much different from Maxi in that she lied and deceived her way into a pregnancy. Dillon says that just because he defends Lulu, doesn't mean that he wants to be with her. Georgie asks him if he's sure.
Maxi shows up at rehab and begs Lucky to let her in. She acts all upset (and innocent!) about the Quartermaines and Mac and everyone who knows about their baby. She tells him that she loves the baby with all of her heart and wants to know if he will too. He says that he hopes to work out some kind of custody arrangement. He says he knows he was pretty out of it when they were together, but he's pretty sure he used protection. She cries and tells him she needs him, she weasels her way into his arms and clings to him. Lulu shows up and tells her to get away from her brother, you s**t!
Sam rushes to Alexis's side to make sure she's okay, and everyone cools off. Alexis says she needs to talk to Jax alone, so Carly and Sam go outside. Alexis tells Jax to stop being so afraid, that she will survive this. On the porch, Sam feels badly about being with Jason instead of her mother. Carly tells her that Alexis can hire a nurse; she needs to be with Jason before Elizabeth uses the baby to steal him away.
Lulu comes into her living room and is searching for something… She goes over her steps and can't find her competitive literature paper. Dillon comes in asking if she's seen a paper of his. She has his paper and she has his. They exchange the two papers. Edward Quartermaine comes in and asks if it's too much to ask to read a newspaper without the first section of the newspaper missing. The maid says she's sure that he hasn't missed anything… But Tracy says “Wanna bet?!” She shows Edward the paper and on the main page, the article header reads, “ELQ Distributes Faulty Condoms!” Alan reads the newspaper out loud. There is an article about the defective condoms. Alan says that they should contact the company lawyers and issue an apology. Edward says that they will never admit a problem! Dillon says that they may not need to admit liability, because everyone knows that condoms are not 100% effective, especially when not used correctly. Edward gives him a hug and says that Dillon is the Quartermaine's new secret weapon!
