The cops bring a warrant to Lorenzo's house and tell Skye that they want to start with the safe. When no one is looking, Ric puts the tape recorder back where he found it under the desk and then makes sure the cops do a clean sweep of the room. He quietly assures Skye that it's police procedure and that they both know she had nothing to do with Lorenzo's disappearance.
Ric is asking Skye where Lorenzo is and Skye says that she's not worried…yet. She says that he will likely show up at any moment and there's no reason to get the police involved. Ric suggests that Lorenzo has given her plenty of reasons to fear for her life. They argue over who had the biggest motive to get ride of Lorenzo, but Ric receives a phone call and has to leave for the Metro Court.
Walking along the waterfront, Jerry comes across Skye and Jason as they are talking about Lorenzo's demise. He offers congratulations on a job well done. He provokes Skye in order to get her to admit that she has Lorenzo's blood on her hands, but Jason tells her to go. Jason whispers that Alcazar's body will be found or it won't, but either way it has nothing to do with her. After she's gone, Jerry tells Jason that as much as they'd both like to kill each other, neither of them can act on it. Jerry says that he has moved past James Craig and now they're practically family! "Have a nice day," Jerry says as he leaves a steaming Jason.
Ric has gone over to Lorenzo's and is questioning the staff about his whereabouts. Skye dismisses the maid and then talks to Ric. He's discovered that Lorenzo's private jet hasn't left the hangar, and he's not landed in South America. He says that if he didn't know better he'd think that Lorenzo vanished into thin air. "But I do know better," Ric says. He asks Skye why she's not upset and then advises her to file a missing persons report so that the police don't think she had something to do with his disappearance.
Ric goes over to Alcazar's house and Skye says that she hasn't seen him. He questions her further and she says that she saw him last night, but hasn't seen him since. Ric asks if that's normal for them? Skye says - if he must know - Lorenzo is moving the family to South America and perhaps he went ahead to set things up. Ric suspiciously wonders why Skye wouldn't be upset about something like that. Ric can see that security hasn't been beefed up, so he wonders why Lorenzo would leave Skye and Lila. Skye confesses that a man with a badge arrived yesterday and that's why Lorenzo is ready to leave. Skye tells Ric that if he's worried about whatever it is that Lorenzo is holding over his head, he doesn't have to worry anymore because they are leaving the country.
Skye has invited Edward over and he is uncomfortable being in a gangster's house. She tells him not to worry about Lorenzo anymore. She tells her grandfather that he was right and that her love for Lorenzo was spit back in her face and cost her everything. Edward assumes that Lorenzo left her moneyless and she tells him that she has plenty of money. She says that she wants Lila to know him and the family and that she misses them, too. "Grandfather, will you give us another chance?" Skye pleads. Edward tells her that no one deserves the pain of yearning for the life they walked away from. Skye is crying and begs for his acceptance again. Edward gently tells her that he made his own mistakes in the past. He says that when Alan brought her into their lives, he grew to love her as his own granddaughter. And that's why it hurt so deeply when she turned against the family, he says. He goes on and says that Alan begged him on his deathbed to forgive her, but he can't forget the news footage of Alan staggering out of the building in pain. He tells her that it's not that he won't forgive her, he can't. Then, he stands up and leaves.
Skye calls Jason and asks him to meet her right away. They agree to meet on the corner of Rush and 4th Streets. When they meet, Skye warns him that she doesn't think Ric bought her story about Lorenzo leaving town. "What's this?" Jerry says as he walks up to them. He asks if they're discussing the disappearance of his former work associate.
Skye and Lorenzo are snuggling in bed as the new day begins. She says that the only thing that could make today better would be if their daughter was with them. He assures her that Lila will be with them within the hour. Skye can't hold her tears back as Lorenzo assures her that they are about to start a new life together. She says that she just wants to let go of the past and move on.
Skye is anxiously awaiting Lila's arrival. Lorenzo brings Lila in and she joyfully holds the sweet little girl in her arms. Then she says that it's nap time and if Lila doesn’t get a nap she'll be fussy for the entire flight. As she goes upstairs, Lorenzo tells her that he knows it's hard for her to leave Port Charles. she kisses Lorenzo and says that she's ready to "get it over with". Once she's gone upstairs, Lorenzo tells the bodyguard that he is not to let Skye leave the house in Venezuela alone because he's afraid she'll take Lila and run.
Lorenzo is upstairs with the baby while Skye slips downstairs to let Jason in. Then she goes back into the nursery and says all she has to do is get Lila ready and they can leave. Lorenzo hugs them both and goes downstairs to call the car. Calm as a cucumber, Skye sits in the rocking chair and sings "Mama's gonna buy you a mocking bird" to Lilia until she hears the heavy thud from below.
