Luke grabs a megaphone and starts talking to Mr. Craig. He introduces himself and says that the briefcase that he's so hot to get out of there is equipped to self destruct thanks to Lorenzo Alcazar. Luke points out that waiting for the vault to open isn't enough. "You need to code, and I have it," he yells. Luke tells Craig to trade the hostages for him. Inside, Craig asks Lulu if her name isn't the same as the madman on the megaphone. When Lulu admits that Luke is her father, Craig takes her to the front door with a gun to her head. He faces Luke and announces that he reveals the code or Lulu is dead. Luke tells Lulu that it's okay. Mr. Craig knows that if he kills her he'll never get the code. Craig says that first he'll kill Lulu and then Liz and the baby that she's gestating. From inside, Nikolas yells for Luke to give the code because Craig has already shot 2 people. Skye whispers to the cops that Luke doesn't even know the code.
Luke finds Skye at the hospital. She is thrilled to see an old friend and Luke says, "So friend, what do you know about the guy who is holding my daughter hostage?" Skye tells Luke everything she knows about the shipmen, the briefcase, the shooting war between Sonny and Lorenzo, Mr. Craig being the middle man who represents the buyer. She explains that she didn't know that Craig would double cross Lorenzo and try to steal the briefcase. Or that the vault would lock. She tells Luke that the briefcase is an "equinox" and that it can self destruct if you try the wrong code and that Lorenzo can't remember anything. As she's lamenting about the father of her child, Luke takes off behind her back.
"8 Hours"
Dr. Ford comes into Lorenzo's room and stops Alexis from berating his patient. Skye comes in right behind him and kicks them both out. Through it all, Lorenzo mumbles that he doesn't know anything about a briefcase. He has heard them arguing about Skye's father being one of the hostages, and when he's alone with her, he asks her why she's not mad at him for having a part in it – even if he can't remember.
Outside the Metro Court Ric interrogates Patrick about what else he heard on the phone. Patrick insists that he was only focused on Robin and couldn't tell if anyone else might have been hurt. Skye shows up and yells at Patrick that he'd better have a lot of malpractice insurance for leaving Lorenzo before he was finished. She said that the surgery should've lasted 4 hours, but he did it in 45 minutes. She tells him how disoriented Lorenzo was when Alexis stormed in and grilled him. Ric demands to know more about Alexis. When Skye tells reports Alexis collapsed, Ric takes off. Mac gets a minute alone with Patrick and thanks him for putting Robin first and doing everything that he did to save her. Patrick wipes a tear from his eye and tells Robin's uncle that he can't even imagine a life without Robin in it.
Things are getting emotional at Jason's penthouse, too. Spinelli is on the computer looking at a blueprint of the Metro Court. He tells Jason that all of the security cameras have been blacked out, so he isn't able to see if the hostages are all in one room or spread out. Jason will be flying blind once he gets inside. Spinelli starts to worry about Lulu because she gets very mouthy when she's scared. Jason adds that's how Sam and Carly are too. Spinelli's eyes get wide with fear for everyone. Jason gets back to business and starts talking through possible scenarios once he gets inside. Spinelli asks who he'll rescue first. You can tell that Jason thinks it's a stupid question, but when Spinelli explains that Sam, Elizabeth, Sony, Carly, his sister Lulu and even his dad are in there, Jason gets it. "Lulu is pretty far down the list of rescuees," Spinelli states. Then, he puts on his coat and says he's going in with him. When Jason explains that he's risking his life, Spinelli says that Lulu would do the same for him…he hopes.
Skye has come back to Lorenzo's bedside. He's sleeping but she's talking to him anyway. She's worried about the hostages and crying over Alan, Emily and Lulu. But she shores herself up and realizes that she has a new family now – Lorenzo and Lila.
At the hospital, Lorenzo tells Jason that he must be mistaken; he doesn't know anything about a briefcase. Jason tries to jog his memory about the shipment. Lorenzo asks Skye if Jason works for him. Skye tells him that Jason is just trying to help for the sake of the hostages. Jason asks to speak to Skye in the hall. Before she leaves Lorenzo's side, she whispers that he's "very convincing". In the hall Skye tells Jason that the briefcase doesn't need to be reset until 2 p.m. tomorrow. Jason says that means it will still be intact when the vault opens. She begs him not to go to the police. She tells Jason that Lorenzo and she want to start a fresh life as soon as this shipment thing is over. Jason agrees not to say anything…for now. Skye goes back into Lorenzo and realizes that he's not putting on an act. He's really forgotten everything about his line of work.
Plenty is going on at the hospital:
A new doctor introduces himself to Epiphany as Dr. Russell Ford and then proceeds to go on a tirade there is a patient who has been waiting for 25 minutes for pain meds. He wants a meeting of all nurses. Then he goes to check on Lorenzo Alcazar. Skye informs him about the lapses in memory and fills him in on the case in general. Dr. Ford says it's outrageous that the surgeon who performed the surgery hasn't stuck around to see his patient in recovery. Skye explains about the hostage situation and then asks if there's anything he can do to jar Lorenzo's memory.
Jason calls Skye to see if Lorenzo is out of surgery yet. She tells him that she care more about Lorenzo's life than what he has stashed in the vault at the Metro Court. Monica has stepped into Lorenzo's room behind Skye and heard this. After Skye hangs up, Monica lays into her and accuses Alcazar for the danger that Alan and Emily are in.
In Lorenzo's room, Monica is livid with Skye for being a part of the whole thing and demands that she tell Mac everything she knows. She reminds Skye that Alan adopted her and treats her like his own daughter and now he is in danger. Noah and Patrick come in and report that surgery is over. Before they go any further, Skye insists that Monica leave. Monica blurted, "I liked you lots better when you were a drunk!" and storms off to call Mac. She tells him to come and question Skye because she knows something.
