Claudia is in Jason's office giving him her theory about Anthony's plan to marry her off to Sonny. She says that there's only one way to stop the old man in his tracks and that's to make her unavailable. "Marry me yourself," she tells Jason as if asking him to pass the butter. Jason's response is nearly as surprising as the challenge itself. He says, "Let's go."
In the car, Claudia tells Jason that she requires eye contact from her husband, at the very least. He tells her that she can do what she wants and live where she wants. Claudia says that she's never been important in her family but now she is, so he'd better work with her. In fact, she challenges him to convince her why she should be marrying him instead of Sonny? He reminds her that she doesn't have to marry anyone, but Claudia likes the idea of controlling her father. She asks Jason about his earlier life and he actually talks to her about the trips he's always wanted to take, etc. When she asks why he's willing to get married so suddenly, he tells her that's not what this ride is about. Suddenly Claudia realizes that if she's out of the way no one has to get married. With tears in her eyes, she asks if she's about to get a bullet in the back of her head? Jason simply says that she needs to leave town and start over, that's all. Claudia recalls a time when Johnny ran away and hid out with cousins but Anthony found him and then killed the cousins. She says that running is not an option.
Tequila Time!
Carly pops in on Jason and learns that Sonny is about to make a deal with Zacchara to run his organization. Carly is enraged as she points out that Zacchara just wants Sonny to implode! She asks Jason how he plans on stopping it and Jason says that he'll have to give Sonny back his business. He says that he'd like to walk away from it all, but he doesn't want to give Sonny a loaded gun. Carly apologizes for getting him into this whole thing.
Jason is in a tizzy in his office when Claudia shows up. She insists that he hear her out, but he says that he already knows about Anthony's offer to Sonny. Claudia tells him that the deal has to go through her first. Suddenly, she has Jason's attention.
Sam Can't Get Anyone to Believe Her.
Ric is in Jason's face out at the Zacchara's house. He says that Sonny is going to work for them and Jason doesn't have the guts to go up against him, so they're in control. Jason says that he'll shut them down if he has to and he won't have to scratch Sonny in the process. Ric says that if Jason tears down Sonny's new organization, he can't go after Karpov and that's his only motivation at the moment. Therefore, he would fight! Ric asks Jason if he could really shoot Sonny? Jason accuses Ric of wanting Sonny so turned around that he can't tell the difference between friends and an enemy.
Robin has asked Jason to meet her at The Metro Court. She tells him that she has decided to marry Patrick and she'd like him to come to the wedding. Jason hugs her and says that he's happy that she's found everything he wanted for her. He says that he'll be with her in his heart, but can't come to her wedding.
Here Comes a Different Bride?
Down on the waterfront, Karpov has asked Jason to meet him. When he arrives, the Russian asks Jason if he's responsible for Sonny's action against him? Jason says that he and Sonny broke ties, but he likely has other associations at this point.
Jason has stopped by Kate's hospital room, but she is sleeping. Olivia whisks him to the hallway and says that she wants to get a handle on what her cousin is up against. She asks what the chances are of him giving Sonny his business back? Jason won't say anything and Olivia doesn't appreciate the strong silent type. After he says that all he wants for Sonny and Kate is happiness, Olivia lets him go inside. He tells Kate that Sonny's about to make a big mistake and maybe she can stop him. He goes on to talk about the dangerous alliance that he's about to make, but when he won't give her the name, she tells him that he has to learn to live with his betrayal.
Next Jason pays Anthony a visit. He immediately tells Anthony that he'll have to take him down if he ends up with Sonny. Ric walks in and taunts Jason for betraying Sonny.
Spinelli's Committed. Literally.
Jason is flat on the floor over at Liz's art studio. He fell off of the ladder and Elizabeth can't help but laugh because it took a ladder to actually hurt 'Stone Cold'. She explains that maybe he is like a wild animal and only gets hurt while in captivity. As she wraps his sprained ankle, he says that he was distracted because he was watching her. They start looking at pictures of Jake, and almost kiss, but Sonny calls and demands that Jason come see him.
