Lucky arrives at Liz's house thinking that Sam is there waiting for him. He explains that Sam called and told him to meet her there. Just then, Sam and Jason arrive and Jason quickly explains that Sam, Liz and the boys need to go hide out for a while. Then Lucky gets a call from the PCPD about the onset of a mob war. After he hangs up, he surmises that Jason is right about getting the women and children out of town. Lucky skips over his 'I'm a cop speech' and tells Jason that his safe house isn't going to be safe anymore and suggests a cabin that he knows about. He tells Jason to go do what he needs to do and he'll get them there. Liz runs upstairs to pack.
Sam...Spinelli...Look out!
Jason comes home and finds Spinelli holding his gun. He listens to Spinelli tell him about finding Maxie unconscious on the waterfront and tells his friend to let him take care of this. Once you cross over to the world of retaliation, you never come back, he tells him. After Spinelli leaves in frustration, Jason calls someone and gives the order to retaliate now.
Jason and Cody are packing up their guns. Jason insists that Cody needs to assure that there'll be no civilians nearby because they are not leaving any survivors.
The Last Time He Did This He Shot His Foot.
Cody rushes off and leaves Jason alone with Liz on the waterfront. She is glad that he's okay, but he warns her that might not last for long. Liz tells him that she lost two patients today and is more aware than ever not to waste time. The cops rush in and Lucky isn't pleased to see her standing out in the open with Jason at the onset of a mob war! He reminds them that if the Russians get any inkling that she is involved with Jason then everything they've done to protect Jake is up in smoke! Jason agrees with Lucky and Liz says that she'll stay away from him. For now.
Jason comes in to see if Olivia's okay and if she heard anything before the fire. Kate tells him that Olivia will be a target if she helps him commit murder! Olivia ignores Kate and tells Jason that she heard Russian voices. Jason turns to leave but Kate grabs him by the arm. She says that because of his power grab Sonny is now so isolated that he's going to have to marry 'that vile Claudia Zacchara'.
Sam is able to track Jason down on the waterfront and offer her help. She says that she's already on the inside because she's been working with Karpov for weeks. Jason says it's too risky, but Sam says that he's not in the position to turn down her help.
Not Again!
Back at the coffee house, Jason tells Cody that they're going to take the Russians out and no one will ever mess with them again! Just then Liz appears looking more angelic than ever.
A Great Place to Raise Your Kids?
Maxie is over at Jason's office telling Jason and Spinelli everything she saw at Kelly's and recalls that the goons were speaking in a foreign language. Jason thanks her and then tells her to leave because she can't be trusted after setting Liz up the way she did the other day. Jason tells her that because of Spinelli she has access to things she shouldn't know and that needs to end. Maxie leaves and Jason tells Spinelli to be careful because Maxie has a little bit of Carly in her and he doesn't want Liz to be on the receiving end of it.
Bernie reports to Jason that the Karpov organization wants to cut Sonny off at the knees and they're all going to pay. He says that one of their truck yards was blown to bits and their men are very angry at Sonny for raining this down on them. Jason agrees to meet with them tonight to do damage control.
Jason goes to GH and asks Liz to meet him on the roof during her break. She gives him a hard time because her work is important to her, too. Eventually, she meets him and apologizes for being so cool. He tells her that she has every right to be mad at him. He says that he loves her, but she refuses to look at the facts. As he starts to explain that he's being targeted as retaliation for Sonny's actions, he notices a glow over on the waterfront. He tells Liz that looks like his office.
