Lulu and Luke go to the PCPD to see Johnny. Luke asks for details to be better able to help out. After Johnny explains about his family situation, he admits that he doesn't have an alibi for when the so-called assault took place. Lulu assures him that her dad will be able to turn his case around.
Luke and Lulu show up at the nurses' desk to see Liz. Luke tries to play the 'daughter-in-law' card, but she reminds him that they're exes. He jokes that once you're a Spencer you're always a Spencer. Then he proceeds to question Liz about Carl Purvis (the guy who Johnny allegedly beat up) and his medical case. Liz says that she can't divulge private information, but offers that visiting hours just began and Carl is in room #1014.
It's Gloves Off for The Corinthos Women.
Down at the PCPD, Ric tells Johnny that he can serve time for assault or reconcile with his father. Lulu tells Ric that Johnny didn't beat anyone up. Ric spots Johnny's bruised knuckles and says that they'll have a hard time proving that since there is a victim willing to say otherwise. Johnny says that he'll get a public defender before he lets his father rope him back into the family. After Ric leaves, Lulu tells Johnny that they'll find a way out of this.
Lulu goes to The Haunted Star and finds Luke under the roulette table working on the 'cheat button'. She explains Johnny's situation and asks Luke to help them out. Luke lightens up and offers to teach his princess a few new tricks.
Claudia has Little Wiggle Room.
Lucky informs Lulu that her boyfriend beat a guy up and is being charged with assault and battery. Lulu says that they can't arrest Johnny for hitting a wall, but Lucky says that the man Johnny beat up picked him out of a photo lineup! Lulu grabs her purse as Lucky takes Johnny down to the PCPD.
At the PCPD, Lucky tells Johnny that if he really loves Lulu, he should leave her. Johnny says that he knows what's going on. Lulu comes into the room and tells Lucky that this is a good way to lose her. Later Ric shows up to represent Johnny. Johnny tells him to tell Anthony that prison is fine with him and it's better than crawling back to the family.
Separated at Birth?
Lulu is helping Johnny to prepare for a job interview. He's nervous because he doesn't have any skills, but she is proud of him for leaving his family behind.
Lulu has gone home to see how Johnny's interviews went. As she tends to his bruised hand, there's a knock at their door. It's Lucky, who has come to arrest Johnny.
Happy New Year?
Johnny comes home and finds Lulu all dressed up and trying to learn how to be comfortable in heels. They have plans for a night on the town and Johnny insists that he has socked the money away to show her a good time. Lulu asks if he'd rather stay home, but he wants to take her out on the town. She insists on paying for the cab and tells Johnny that he can't drive after having champagne. They start to bicker and then realize that neither of them wants to go out after all. He asks what her idea of the perfect New Year's Eve is and she suggests beer and pizza. Once they're comfortable, they curl up on the sofa and reflect about what a rough year they've endured together. Suddenly Lulu grabs his hand and tells him to go put on his snow clothes. She announces that they're not coming in until the snow flies. Later, they laugh as tiny flakes begin to fall.
Holiday Magic Reigns in Port Charles.
Lulu and Nikolas show up at Lucky's house and promptly order pizza for their Christmas Eve dinner. Luke shows up with a Christmas tree and the first thing they all ask is how much he's had to drink. He brushes their skepticism off and comments about how 'unfestive' they are. Just then, Spinelli and Maxie show up to spread some holiday cheer. Spinelli hears some jingle bells and reaches into his magical Santa suit and pulls out a key for Lulu. He promises it will bring her cheer.
