Morning all.

Ok so Lulu came off way better yesterday then I feared she would. She didn't bolt off alone and get into trouble. She happened to be the first person down a hall and fell in the well the Z's apparently put in the middle of their house . She was in black leather, ala JaSam, declaring her part of Team Adventure and that I do not mind at all.

Time is moving differently in PC again. Carly and Claudia are still in their car wreck while Lulu and Dante have had time to change and drive to Jason's after being held captive by the PCPD. Ok then....

Why did Lucky have to call her his "little sister"? Just say your sister.

I'm so over Jax who used to be a fav of mine. Seriously "we're a family"? Sonny is their father Jax, you're just their mom's currenty hubby of 2 years. No legal adoption has taken palce. You can care about them (not that Jax really seems to give a crap about Michael), but it is not your place to overrule their father. I hope Michael tells Jax to jump in a lake.

Kristina is such a whiner. She saw Sonny yell at Claudia he didn't put a bullet in her, but please lets cry and whine how scary it was to see dad so Alexis can tell Sonny to back off and let the baby come to him. Meanwhile Kiefer smacks her around and Kristina crawls back for more because he's a "good" guy. Put Alexis and her whiny daughter in the Z's well and pave it over. Molly is the only Davis I want to see.

Gwendy I think you'll notice we all soured on Johnny long before Olivia arrived, it was when he made out with Maxie. Some of us even said he treated Lulu bad when JoLu were together and were told we weren't fans because we saw the good and the bad. We made this thread so we could say we once loved JoLu, but they weren't perfect w/o offending people who thought they could do no wrong. You can post anywhere you want, but if you want to be all Yea Johnny and Yea JoLivia this may not be the thread for you. But please do not come in here and tell us what we can and cannot say or what you think we would do. We know what we would do and we say exactly what we mean.

Busy day for me today...felt more like a Monday!

Oh well...I did get to watch today's show. I loved the DanLu scenes! Dante was wonderful toward Lulu...warm, protective, supportive. He did not leave her side and kept her talking to keep her alert and warm (well as warm as possible!) I liked his humor at times which he used to keep her mind off the situation (The "rabbi and a priest walk into a bar" joke...very funny!) and it was touching how he started to open up to her. A crisis often makes that happen! Today just made me want more of this couple! I truly adore Dante!

Josslyn Jacks was born...Poor Carly...stuck with the psycho from heck as a midwife! Michael is on his way and I think we'll see some drama there!

Gwendy...welcome to the thread. I don't think I could state my feelings on Johnny better than Aerinha did. I think it's perfectly fine for people to express dislike or like for a character or coupling...provided it doesn't get nasty, doesn't take pot shots at the actor/actress and the person making the comment is respected. Do I like Johnny? No, not anymore...the writers have ruined him for me completely! Does that have anything to do with him being with or not with Lulu...nope! Even if he begged Lulu to come back to him, after how she was treated (and for all the good things Johnny did for her...save her life on a few occasions, take a murder rap for her, he also did far more bad things which made her suffer...lie, keep secrets, completely take over the reigns of their relationship, never stood up to Claudia/Daddy/Trevor on Lulu's behalf...not like with Olivia, had "destructive" gropefests with Maxie; a girl he knew hurt Lulu in the past, cut himself off mentally/emotionally/physically from Lulu and made her feel inferior and fed her insecurities by "dating" Maxie) I would want Lulu to turn Johnny down flat by telling him where to get off if he wanted her back at this point...and that's not going to happen anyhow!

How a person looks does not (at least for me) have any bearing whatsoever in how I feel about him/her...whether we're talking about a fictional character like Johnny, a celebrity or a person in regular, every day life. I would not give someone a pass on behaving like a jerk, just because they happened to be handsome or pretty. Even though I may not like Johnny...if he happens to do something nice, like when he showed concern for Morgan and Molly and safely took them back to the Jax house so they'd be OK...I'll say it. If a character I do like does something ridiculous, I'll comment on that too. I normally like Jax, but lately, he's acting like an idiot! I like Alexis too, but the "smother-mother" bit with her lately and how she's criticized Michael has bothered me. She should be far more worried about Keifer around Kristina than Michael...which she, of course, doesn't know quite yet! Oh well...as many of us here are former Jolu fans here, of course we're not going to like what Johnny did to Lulu and with how his character was being written, he was bound to take hit with some viewers...especially with how it all was blown apart and also how the aftermath was treated, but that's all a done deal.

Dante is written in a different way. No, the fact that he's a cop doesn't make him a better character than Johnny...well, maybe in some cases it does! I'm not always thrilled with how Lucky acts in his capacity as a cop or how Mac reacts to some things...but then the writers have this habit of presenting the mobbies as the good guys and the cops as the Keystone Cops sometimes! The mob is one aspect of the show...it's been that way since Luke and Laura days and I don't see it going away. Is that all I want to see? No way...I also like focus on families and the hospital too! Throw in some good old fashioned romance with the sex in all that too! Dante is shown as a good character...he's different than Johnny, but of course he would be. Look who raised Johnny, then look who raised Dante....you have the epitome of one stable environment and one which is about as stable as a leaky ship in a storm! So, of course the two will be different. I am just tired of seeing Lulu with men who hurt her and hope, from what we have seen of Dante thus far, he will break that cycle for her. He may not be perfect...what guy is?...but he's about the best thing to cross her path in ages!

Hey Samilu....Hope all is well with you and family! Today was very "Titanic" like, huh? Loved, loved, loved DanLu! So happy we got them opening up a little about their feelings, finally. More please!

OK....WTH is Maxie doing at the crime scene? This one makes absolutely no sense and serves no purpose, IMO! And Olivia warning Lulu to be discrete.......now that's laughable! Everyone within shouting distance knows Dominic is her son Dante. It's a miracle Dante is still alive with her running her mouth and getting all in Dante's business. Who needs to lessons on being discrete?

GH yesterday…

First of all I had the worst time hearing what Lulu was saying. All that running water (aside from making me have to pee) drowned out her words, which were already garbled by her “cold” noises while talking. Hello sound crew, make the background stuff quieter so I can hear the dialogue. Also, some of her noises, given all the arching seemed like she was uh...having more fun then freezing to death if you get my drift.

It was another Laura was a great normal mom my dad sucked, I love danger, but I really want normal (I fear DanLu is going to be the next boring Scrubs couple with all these references to normal life they both keep making snore), oh wait, Luke is great, I love danger and sitting in water is a great adventure my dad gave me this so I love him moment. Really? Now if Lulu wound up in a raging river holding onto a log bring on the danger dialogue, but she’s just sitting there in a house that had a moat in it.

Also Carly had her baby faster than Johnny got help. I know cellphones pretty much ruined the soap concept of no phones, lines being down etc, but they really are reliable these days even when in a moat. Johnny could have called 911 from the ledge. Or at least they could have put in a line saying his phone got wet when he jumped in and didn’t work. Speaking of Johnny he wanted to stay with Lulu because he knew the house. Ok. He didn’t know there was a hole where a hall should be nor does Lulu need a tour guide while stuck in said hole.

Why is Olivia prowling all over the place? Shouldn’t she be wringing her hands over Johnny instead of making decisions about Carly’s family and then lecturing Sonny? The real Carly, not the milquetoast version they recently made her, would not appreciate Olivia butting in and siding with Jax who is an awful stepparent. All he cared about was his baby when he covered up for Jerry, it had nothing to do with his brother. Any atom of guilt Michael has should fall on Jax who as an adult could have put an end to it as he had the proof Jason was looking for, and as Carly’s husband should have spoken up out of loyalty to her.

First of all, i am not at all liking johnny with olivia. i still feel like jolu has been left hanging. there's been no closure to this couple and they have made johnny into a whiner which is kind of sad when his character started off as being a tough guy and olivia treats him like a boy. Second, you didn't show much aloha to someone who is new at this and was just sharing a different opinion. at least samilu and lady starlight welcomed me and my different opinion and explained nicely what their thoughts were.and last of all when a thread says jolu fans past, present and future-sounds a little misleading. it should say jolu fans past then someone like me wouldn't have bothered you lulu and dante fans.

Nice to read all the posts!

Skylie...thanks for responding to Gwendy. As the person who created this thread, I will say that the title may have now "outlived" its significance! But, it was created at a time where many of us felt uncomfortable posting in Jolu threads and many people seemed to be falling into categories; people who were glad Jolu were finished and never wanted them back together, people who were upset they broke up and hoped for a reunion, and people completely on the fence about that! Now, with the addition of Dante, it's put another new spin on things. Me, personally...I love Dante, but my mistrust of what the writers do in fouling up good romance stories prevents me from getting on the DanLu bus until their story and partnership is fleshed out a bit more and I do think, after yesterday, we're at the starting gate with that.

Our thread is visited by a lot of the same people who've been posting together for ages, it seems, and we've all developed a rapport...I truly enjoy posting with everyone. That's not to say I don't welcome a newbie to the mix!

Gwendy, Jolivia is a topic for discussion here too...some people like the pairing and some do not, and that's fine. I personally am with you on Johnny and Olivia...it's just not my cup of tea. I agree completely about what you said about them, though I do respect that some people here do like Jolivia.

I am glad, when talking about yesterday, some of you mentioned the things you did...

Aerinha, I was thinking I still had a problem with my ears being plugged up post being ill recently! I could hardly hear DanLu's conversations unless I turned my TV up! I imagine my neighbors hated me for an hour, but I just could not hear what DanLu were talking about unless I turned the sound up!

With the conversation...there were some things which have become a pattern...yes, Lulu mentioning mom and dad and where she gets her "adventure gene." I also agree with some of the things Aerinha mentioned which seemed "off." Olivia's not said a word about Johnny...I guess too busy playing counselor to Jax and Sonny! To me, all the banter there just suggests two things:

1. If they want to create Carly/Jax angst...they could slide Olivia right in there!

2. Sonny and Olivia are still into each other and yes, they do have one thing which binds them together...Dante. It's just setting up that whole reveal and what consequences it may have on Sonny and Olivia's future. I found Sonny's conversation about his women to be very interesting...there goes the use of that word "fragile" again. Mob men like to take care of things...they like to be saviors. Yet, they do respect strength in a woman as well. We could look at Johnny's take on the women in his life in much the same way as Sonny was saying about the women in his...Jason as well!

For Sonny, you had ladies like Kate, who were more the fragile type, and then Carly and Claudia who were stronger.

For Jason, you had Liz and then Sam...polar opposites of the fragile flower and the girl with spunk and fire.

For Johnny there was Lulu and now Olivia...same thing. Yet, since she's with Johnny, Olivia tends to have lost some of her fire.

I thought Sonny's whole talk about this topic was interesting!

Not that I cared about Johnny coming back since I was enjoying the DanLu conversation (what I could hear of it), but what was taking him so long to find help?? Geeze, they could both drown before he gets help!

Not exactly the same, but I wondered if the writers were thinking of that as they set the scene up. I just loved how Dante refused to leave Lulu...even when she suggested he save himself. I also liked that he came clean about who he is when Lulu suddenly had recall of his being a cop. Shows his honesty. I also liked that when she was asking for a favor, her request to Dante to not go after certain people did not include Johnny. Sonny, yes, I would expect Lulu to be loyal to him. He is like an uncle to her. Johnny, she owes nothing to! As we've said before, this is all going to put Lulu in a tough spot!

Kat, thanks for the spoilers...isn't this about the zillionth time we've seen Maxie run her mouth off about something and cause trouble? I cannot figure out why they're even putting her in that orbit?? I laughed too about Olivia urging Lulu to keep Dante's secret! Olivia, with all her trolling around Port Charles, nearly having a heart attack and being all fumbly around Dante...she's darn fortunate that Dante's identity and agenda is still a secret at this point! How many other people know about it already?? Mac, Jax, Kate. Lulu's finding out will be the least of Olivia's worries! Olivia is the last person who should be lecturing anyone about being discreet...in fact, I am growing sick of Olivia and her lectures! Lulu generally knows how to keep her mouth shut. Maxie...well, Livvy, she might need one of your lectures on that topic!

I want more DanLu today too! I am interested to see Maxie's involvement in this all as well. I don't want Meth-Maxie running off at the mouth about Dante getting Lulu into danger, blah, blah. It's Lulu's cousin who was kidnapped and Lulu joined the search for Carly on her own accord...end of story!

I am also interested to see what happens when Michael arrives to the cabin. Claudia's becoming a walking Looney Tunes! I could see that yesterday as she held the baby! I just hope the baby will be OK. Claudia, I think she may get a 2x4 to the head! Michael will end up putting Claudia to sleep...permanently, it seems! Now, that's what I call karma!

He had only thoughts for Lulu and keeping her alive, not leaving her side . What I most admire he the fact he let his feelings on the table...No holding back. And Lulu did too...Like others said, she is very reserved usually but I got a sense she let him know she is into him as well.The way Dante looked at her the whole time made my heart melt...Like when he said you are beautiful with his sexy voice...Another thing is the fact he didn`t lie anynore to her and told her the truth point blank...She didn`t seem angry about it more comcenr about the ppl around Sonny and the repercussions for them...LAst, he couldnt make a promise he wouldnt hold on too...Even if he could have.

I was thinking of the writing differences for Johnny and Dante.

Johnny arrived as temporary character (he was supposed to die at the B&W ball) with 100 different story possiblities that were all dropped, ignored or handed to others to wind up 2 years later in a corner with nowhere to go. I really don't know where he goes post Olivia with his family all gone.

Dante arrived as a full time character, with ties to the leading man, with really only 1 story to tell: let's take down daddy. He started out in the corner and no one really sees it because he's front burner with that one story. But there is a way out and it's the mob.

For Dante to truly be the "new" Sonny, the mob has to be his only choice and he has to go deeper and deeper until it's too late. I hesistate to say this because the second I say I see a hint of...they trash it, but I do see hints Dante is souring on the force with his comment to Ronnie about the good guys. I suspect Sonny won't have killed Polletti, but will know who did and will offer Dante revenge if he "loses" the evidence against him. Dante's choice is dad who is bad but good going to jail vs. man who is all bad and kill surrogate dad. We all know who will win.

Dante would then have one foot in the mob. Then let's say the Cassadines take Lulu while Luke is on vacation and Dante has to use Sonny's connections again to save her. Boom! Dante is in the mob and has a story. On this soap, as it is, there is no way he can be out of the mob and have a story.

Hello Ladies.....Hope everyone is having a great "hump" day! Not long until we get more DanLu. Please have more bonding, maybe a kiss before Jerk-ny to the rescue happens! I've been giving some thought to where I want DanLu to first make love. His apartment in Brooklyn? It would give Lulu a chance to be in his element and get a better feel about him. Could have a long weekend with no interruptions....just them and nothing but time for loving and more loving! Maybe some ice cream with chocolate sauce?? Just away from PC, please! With Dante anything/anywhere will be wonderful and romantic!

Dominic Zamprogna married his fiancee, Linda Leslie, on Sunday November 1st. The couple tied the knot during an intimate ceremony above Hollywood in Griffith park.

As for all the noise in the dungeon....I thought when Lulu asked Dominic, "Why are you trying?" I thought he said, "I want to be with you." LOL! Don't ask how/why I thought this......the noise factor, wishful thinking, old age, etc., etc.. Like Aerinha said they need to dial it down a notch or two with the sound effects!

LadyStar....Great post! Hoping DanLu continue to move in the right direction, and will HAVE what THEY have! So much chemistry and potential not to write a great love story! But we're talking about the creatively bankrupt GUZA SQUAD!! Just have to wait and see!

Okay, I am going to give my opinion on this Johnny thing! First of all, I want to say I am loving Lante and I think it is a refreshing change in Lulu's storyline!! But I do think that we could be in for a future love triangle between Lante/JoLu! It is JMO but look at what is happening. If JoLu's ship has sailed why do they keep unneccesarily put Johnny in LuLu's orbit. Okay we get it that Johnny is about Olivia and I think that the hospital scene with JoLivia/Lante proves that with how cold JZ was to LuLu! They should have ended it there but they haven't! They haven't given that same courtesy to Skate fans! They keep putting JZ in LuLu's story/orbit. For instance, when Lante were talking on the docks, LuLu asked Dante if it was Anthony he was after and she was relieved that it wasn't. IMO that shows that Lu still has deep connections with JZ. She was worried about being conflicted there. Then when Dom/Spin were having that intense convo about showing Lulu some respect and out of the blue John barges in unnecessarily to get a flashdrive(WTF) and to top that off Spin had to bring in Johnny into the convo, he couldn't let him pickup and leave (which was pointless for him to be there)! If you noticed how they focused on Johnny as he was leaving after he insulted Dom by calling him "Lil Dom" like he knows LuLu would have nothing to do with him. And now Johnny just happens to be at the Z mansion searching for Claudia/Carly the same time that Lante is searching. I understand they need to have another party there to help in getting a rescue team but why not Spin, Maxie, or even Lucky. They are even establishing insecurities in Dante's part when it comes to Johnny when he said that he didn't want to leave LuLu cuz Johnny would come in and be the hero and he would look like the loser in her eyes and he wants to keep all her gratitude to himself! I don't know if they are going down the triangle route with these three just yet but they have set it up where they can do it at any point just in case they were to go that route! I don't care if they do or not cuz it would be a win/win for me since I love DanLu! IMO when all the dust settles and Olivia goes Sonny's way (it was very obvious yesterday that they will do Solivia or some sort of quad with CarJax)and Johnny goes dark cuz of Claudia and they officially make DanLu a couple, here comes badboy Johnny(like he was when he first met Lulu) to cause trouble! Writers already have written Dante as being insecure where Johnny's concern especially that he is LuLu's ex and his mother's lover. I think that is why the writers haven't made LuLu or Johnny say that they don't love each other or that they never had. They will/can insert Johnny as DanLu angst like they inserted Maxie for JoLu angst. It would be very soapy!! Good Light Mob Prince vs. Dark Brooding Mob Prince-Could be very good! I could see it being like Luke/Laura/Scotty triangle of many years ago. I don't know if it will happen or not but they sure have left it open to the possibility and like I said it is JMO and if it doesn't happen, I am so loving DanLu!

Aerinha..."BRAVO AND KUDOS!!!" I applaud your take on the two characters. I was sort of comparing the two (Dante and Johnny) yesterday...there is a lot of difference when you consider the dynamic of both characters!

Johnny...like with a character such as Luke many moons ago, was perhaps not supposed to stay. Luke, it was said, was only supposed to stay for a few weeks to help Bobbie out of a jam and be gone. Fate steps in sometimes and changes that. Everyone liked Johnny (a tortured mob prince with a heart of gold) and his first interactions with Lulu. This is what prompted him to remain on the canvas and for the writers to give him a story, rather than be a disposable character who could have met a death at the ball. This is where former Jolu fans like myself go absolutely crazy when thinking about all the potential that was lost! It was truly something which is the stuff a "Romeo and Juliet" pairing was potentially made of, but alas, it didn't happen. Johnny's story indeed had a variety of possibilites when he arrived...the story chosen for him isn't what I would have chosen for him, but again, alas, we're at the mercy of the writers.

Dante immediately arrived with a story waiting for him and an attachment to a major character...Sonny. That automatically makes his character different from Johhny's. Dante's story is a bit more mapped out than Johnny's...Johnny essentially arrived as blank canvas.

With Dante, we have....

1. His real identity...everyone, most notably Sonny eventually, finding out who he really is.

2. His occupation...he's a cop and as Aerinha said...his mission? Take down the C and Z organizations. Right now, he doesn't realize the consequences that will all have because he doesn't yet know how close he is to the man he wants to bring down.

I said a long time ago that my fear for Dante was that he'll be written in to the "I have no choice but to join the mob" category. That would be like Johnny before him....even Sonny tried to go straight with Kate (hey...that rhymes! hehehe). In my estimation, Sonny did not have a snowball's chance in Hades to go straight and it was almost laughable to see him try! Johnny...he was a different story. He wasn't yet as mired in mob muck as Sonny a few months back. He could have been seen as the strong young man who had the guts to want better for himself and not follow the sins of his father and accept the life daddy planned for him. But, again, we know how the writers decided to play that...Johnny took the easy road; what he knew.

Dante...Ronnie and his association with Dante might indeed be key in deciding where Dante goes. Suppose Ronnie is a crooked cop? If Dante does get disillusioned with the good guys or feels that his life is at stake once Sonny knows everything, what other choice does Dante have than mobdom? I don't see Sonny/Jason going anywhere! Johnny? Maybe. I just do not see much of a future for him with where he is now...we've already said that he's also being written into a corner that seems impossible for him to be written out of simply because he'll have no ties to anyone on the show and he needs more to do than be a flunky for Sonny and a bed buddy for Olivia. Dante's being cornered too with the mobdom thing. I can see a "choose the high road or the low road" choice coming for Dante and it may be purely out of survival for him.

It's a really fascinating thing to think about...thanks again, Aerinha!

No idea about Dante and Lulu's next kiss, but what they have coming is whether or not Lulu will spill the beans about Dante.

Robin, Sam, and Molly are going to play matchmaker with Mac and ALexis! Read that Alexis will go out with him...but she won't be interested in Mac and wonders why she can't be happy with a man like him!

I didn't want to see the guilt/struggling aspect of the DanLu storyline. This could backfire anyway it goes....crank up the Lulu hate again or tank DanLu before they ever get off the ground or both! Makes me very nervous!

They killed her!!! They actually killed off a bad guy w/o and fake outs!!! Claudia is dead

Too bad they didn't do it before tying Johnny to her started his downward spiral, but still GH is free from the worst character ever created and she can't come back.
