WB...thank you very much for your post! I hate to sound like I am ragging on Johnny (I am certainly not ragging on Brandon at all.) but it annoys me that the writers trashed Jolu to quote, "Put him in the older crowd" (Or was it to try the failed experiment called JoMax?? We may never know!) and yet, he seems to be more immature than ever as a character! He is indeed acting the way a 20ish year old man would act...someone who doesn't want any ties, no questions, etc.

Skylie...you had some bombshells there with those spoilers....

Jolu...they've done everything but publically assassinate the couple! It would be one Humpty Dumpty episode to put that back together, but hey, it's a soap, so who knows? Johnny would have to do some MAJOR changing for me to accept that, as would Lulu...if she'd be "Screw You Lulu" in that relationship and not a frightened Stepford Girlfriend, it would be a start!

Kate and Mac? Interesting pairing! I thought Kate was on her way out? I like that it would give Mac a storyline, other than to arrest the mobsters every so often! I have always liked John J. York and I wish they'd use him more!

Maxie and Jason made me laugh out loud...literally! But again, anything's possible! It just doesn't seem that they want to revisit Liason and they don't seem to want to revisit Jasam either...but that's just how it looks now. Hey, I'm for anybody other than Johnny with Maxie! As much as I like Spixie as friends, I just cannot see them as anything more! Spin would indeed be the one to get his heart crushed.

Sounds like more musical chairs with Nik, Liz, Lucky and Sam...the bit about the larger lady coming to join GH really bugged me...what's wrong with Guza??? Some men do not mind dating bigger ladies! Some actually prefer it! It's like the bull crap we got today where it's as though Spin should feel honored that Maxie even talks to him because he's a "geek" and she's a "beauty!" Lovely message to send to any young folks watching GH, Guza...not that there may be any, if you look at the ratings these days!

LW going? Not sure about that. This would be a bombshell! I know we take this things with a grain of salt. The writers were promising us a whodunnit for what seems like forever...I thought that is how Ric was going to leave, but he got a sendoff which was ridiculous!

Well here's my POV for what it's worth.

Yes NM you're probably right with the sour grapes thing. I read on other MB's that they think Olivia is a wh@re and they call her very nasty names to ME that's just plain rude not to mention immature!

Olivia is a beautiful women and in real life LLC is ONLY 39!!!

If there had never been a Jolu and they just paired Johnny with Olivia w/o the whole age diff being brought to light, I don't think there would have been a problem.

I rewatched yesterdays ep and I think it's interesting that we see different things because see I didn't see Olivia seeming more mature than Johnny yesterday. I think she seemed to be shocked that Dante is in PC and maybe feels like how is she going to explain Johnny. I realize this is a soap, but in the real world, why would a mother need to explain herself to her child.....a grown man at that?

Olivia is sexy, beautiful and boinking a dude that I no longer recognize. The relationship between Johnny and Olivia is a mere tool to gratify physical needs, so there is no reason for me to put it down just because I cannot have something else. Watching Johnny and Olivia is tedious to me, but not because I am no longer able to enjoy the coupling of Johnny and Lulu. I apply the 'half-your-age-plus-seven' rule quite frequently and don't care about a person's number of years in existence.

They are tedious because Olivia has gone from a strong, independent woman to a shallow, insidious person. I thought I would be able to enjoy her the moment she started telling Kate off in church, but I was wrong. If the rumor that says Olivia may step in for Kate at Crimson, then I'll start chanting, "Olivia is woman, yes she can," dripping with sarcasm.

So I'm to believe there is nothing this woman can't do? She has fixed cars, single-handedly run the MetroCourt, tended to Carly and Jax's personal business, been Carly's new bf. Albeit, she may be able to accomplish several different things, but she is still a fraud. Olivia lets on that she is all about family, but certainly didn't hesitate taking Carly's side over Kate's. Gotta keep Dante from big bad Dad, but she can sleep with Johnny and now, most likely, Sonny again! Boy did I like Olivia, but her character has been pushed down a slippery slope into soap opera oblivion (thinking she is vaguely resembling the destruction of Kate.)

As for Johnny, the only people that have tried to tell him what to do and wanted to know his exact whereabouts at all times were Anthony, Trevor and Claudia. So I guess that is where he is experiencing some sort of relief. If his remark in yesterday's episode about Olivia being carefree is supposed to be a comparison to his relationship with Lulu, I cry foul!

I would add something positive to this, but Lulu hasn't graced us with her presence. Therefore, I've got nothing.

I don't think my objection to JZ and Olivia is sour grapes...at least not for me. At this point, I don't want him with Lulu nor would I be able to swallow it if they tried to put them together again.
As I stated in my previous post....the actress who plays Olivia is a beautiful woman...I do feel that the character is more mature than Johnny and to me it was even more obvious yesterday. I have not traveled the other boards but can only imagine the things they say as they literally slash Lulu every time she opens her mouth.

Now on to those spoilers....Skylie....Jason and Maxie? That would be odd but you know now that I think about it...if her charcter changed a bit(maybe the voice thing)...I could see it. OK....nobody throw stones but since they are an unlikely pair...what a story they could have esp. if she is somewhat heartbroken over Spin. There is an age thing though cause when I brought up him and Lulu months ago...everyone said he was too old for her and she and Maxie are the same age so....but you know me....I like the unlikley pairing and think they sometimes make the best stories.
JoLu....uh....no. Not anymore....for me too much water under that bridge. Where was Dante in those spoilers?
See now I think he's a cutie and could look good with Lulu...Doi we have anything on Lulu aside from Karaoke?

Unfortunately (or fortunately) how ever one chooses to look at it...I was and still am a Maxie hater...Hmmmmm...maybe hate is too strong of a word....maybe strongly dislike is better. I can tolerate her in small doeses, but when she starts her "Spinelli you're my essential person and BFF" and "Johnny's hot" all in one sentence, I want to put tape over her mouth. I am not a Spixie fan and find them (most of the time) painful to watch...they just don't do it for me as a romantic couple. NOW...if they paired her with say....Matt...I think the HEAT factor would be there which is what I want in my soap couple. Spixie are cute, but as BFF's.

Interesting how we all see things differently. NO ONE should be blasted for voicing their opinions. This is a public board and we're not all going to agree with what we see on GH and how we view storylines and characters. That's just how it is.

With the title of this thread, I do think we're all split on how we see things...Yes, perhaps some Jolu fans are bitter and angry (they actually have every right to be in viewing how this couple was handled and ultimately destroyed) and so no matter who the writers put Johnny with, they aren't going to like it because they feel he should be with Lulu. Some (like myself) are fine with the fact the writers ended them (hey, as we were told in spoilers, even fans wouldn't want them together in the end...they were both miserable!) but perhaps did not like HOW they were ended and didn't like how things are playing out post relationship.

Part of the problem post Jolu I think lies in how both characters have been handled. Since their breakup, Johnny's been dancing around Maxie, has gone back to the mob and now has a hot, sexy girlfriend he's boinking. What does Lulu have? Her family issues and that's about it! In all fairness, some of this stalemate in her character might be the product of JMB not being available because of her other projects. I do think, though, that many folks would feel better if they saw Lulu moving on to a successful career, getting herself back on track (being the strong young lady the Labines wrote her to be...I sometimes wonder if they recognize the character they created?) and getting into a hot, new romance where she is treated properly for once! Personally, I think many fans, like myself, would have an "Olivia can have Johnny!" attitude more easily if we'd see Lulu move on and be happy!

Another thing which I think sticks in people's sides like a thorn is the fact that Lulu NEVER (and most likely will never) got to go off on Johnny. If we ladies put ourselves in her place, after getting over the disappointment, hurt and shock of being dumped and being made a fool of, wouldn't we be just a bit POed? I know I would! All we got was Johnny attempting to make a half hearted "apology" to Lulu and Lulu saying he was right that she wouldn't want to hear it. What I wanted was to hear her say...

HOW DARE YOU HIDE THINGS FROM ME AND LIE TO ME!

HOW DARE YOU ASSUME I'M SOME FRAGILE FLOWER THAT CANNOT TAKE CARE OF MYSELF!

HOW DARE YOU FEED MY INSECURITIES BY "DATING" MAXIE, A GIRL WHO HAS HURT ME IN THE PAST, AND NEVER ACKNOWLEDGE HOW THAT MUST HAVE MADE ME FEEL!

HOW DARE YOU TELL ME YOU LOVE ME AND I SHOULD TRUST YOU AND BELIEVE IN YOU WHEN YOU NEVER GAVE ME A VOICE IN THIS RELATIONSHIP AND NEVER DID ANYTHING WORTHY OF MY EXPRESSING LOVE, TRUST OR BELIEF IN YOU!

Now, if we would have got all that, then my guess is we'd all feel better about both parties moving on at this point, but we didn't and never will! I am just saying what I have a feeling that many folks would have liked Lulu to say to Johnny, but she never got the chance.

Olivia, I actually grew to like her! At first, I thought, who the heck is this woman who came in for a family wedding that never happened and then never left PC? Doesn't she have a job, a home and a family back in Bensonhurst to go back to? She was getting in everyone's business at the start, it seemed, but then, I did start to like her. I liked her as Carly's BFF...two strong ladies who shared more in common than they knew! Olivia is the kind of character GH does not have enough of, as far as its females go. We have enough Lulus, Elizabeths, and Lauras...too many of them! We have enough messed up females like Claudia and Sam. The few strong ladies we do have, other than perhaps Carly, are very one dimensional kind of women...maybe because the characters aren't developed enough. I'm thinking of people like Alexis and Diane in that category. A strong female character doesn't have to be superwoman, but she doesn't need to be "saved" and doesn't need a man to validate her...boy, I sound like a feminist there!

With Jolivia, I know some people don't like the age thing. I don't have a problem with that myself. Another thing I don't think that many past Jolu fans liked specifically was that a few picks and pans that were Jolu were seemingly repeated in Jolivia's story....we had Johnny suddenly going back to being Piano Man again...something he hadn't done since Jolu. We had Olivia (just my personal opinion) getting just a slight bit weaker where she's running around defending Johnny to everyone, even Sonny, which is what Lulu would do. Another issue was the things Johnny was doing, which he never did with Lulu. He treats Olivia as an equal for the most part and he has even defended her to Claudia, which is something we did not see him do for Lulu...someone he exchanged "I love yous" with. That's what I think gets to some folks...it's bugged me in the past.

Johnny, I think, is being written far differently than when he arrived and again, my personal opinion, that bothers some people. I cannot say I like the way he's being written. When he's being written as the guy who imploded his own relationship, using the town tramp to do it, the guy who never follows up his words with actions, the guy who doesn't seem to know what he wants, the guy who just wants to be a human "robot" and not feel, explain, make excuses, love or care, he becomes a lot less likable. When we had Johnny written as this tortured soul, a guy who was kind of a victim of his own cirumstance, raised to be "bad" but yet had traces of good in him perhaps left by his mother, he had a humanity to him that I no longer see in the character. Now, it's kind of "whatever!" (Good word for the character!) I do what I want, when I want, with whomever I want...the heck with everyone else...I could have had a nice life away from the mire of the mob, but I (and HE did) made the choice to stick with what I know, and what was comfortable. Seeing him as a victim went out the window...he's right where he chooses to be.

The triangle (and yes, I think it has started!) between Sonny/Olivia/Johnny may indeed prove interesting. What I like most about it is, as I have said before, that this is NOT going to be a cakewalk for Johnny. Sonny is NOT Logan. He is NOT Spinelli. So, for the first time, Johnny has an adversary in Sonny who is more powerful than himself and he's not going to have the upper hand in this triangle! It is going to be interesting to watch how he handles that. If written in an interesting manner, it could really be a turning point for Johnny OR it could be his doom.

I very much agree that no matter what we think of characters/pairings, name calling, which is not done in a joking manner (OK, I often refer to Maxie as the "Town Tramp" but the character kind of is! I mean no harm whatsoever to KS though!) isn't necessary. Virtually every character/actor has received that kind of thing...Lulu's been treated horribly in the past and every time she does a scene, like when she tried to bring her brothers together recently, I just get set for the haters to have a field day, and they did! I see the things they are saying about Olivia as well...mostly regarding her age, and it's not necessary. Regardless of what we think about the pairing, such age differences are not uncommon in this day and age. LLC is a very attractive lady...she's certainly not ready for old age pension! Some characters get "open season" declared on them because of what the characters do...Claudia is a good example of that. Johnny also got blasted for what he did to Lulu, as did Maxie...the characters themselves certainly deserved flack in those cases, but never the actors.

Interesting thoughts are always shared here...and that's why I enjoy coming here. It's perfectly fine to agree to disagree! What I like most is that we all seem to be able to respectfully do that...and that's the key to having an enjoyable time here, versus the equivalent of "road rage" on a public forum and that's just a drag for me.
