Okay..

I am going to gush about today's show. I loved Spixie today. I agree with winterfresh, I would like to see more of this. They had their fun dynamic back, were sweet, fun but not overly comedic, and coupley. The romantic vibe seemed to fit them so well. Maxie has been flirting with Spin for the last week or so and she was quite overt with her flirting today.

I loved that there was such a sweet romantic vibe between the two. I loved it all. I thought it was funny when Spin was describing the benefits and curse of his overactive imagination. I really enjoyed his reaction to Maxie saying that she was going to make sure every inch of him was safe and happy (in reference to the suntan lotion). I also enjoyed Spixie in the Mayor's office. I thought it was cute with the two of them hiding and Mac covering. I also thought that the kiss at the end of that scene was sweet. I loved that Spixie walked back to Spin's office hand in hand. I also enjoyed Maxie recounting what Mac's possible reaction to seeing them would be and Spin's reaction to this. I also loved Maxie telling Robin that she was really proud of Spinelli.

Today was a great day for Spixie IMO. If Maxie's flirting is gradually building like this, I can understand why she would be jealous. Maxie commented on Spin being distracted. I feel that Spin may still (understandably) be cautious with opening his heart to Maxie, and may be distracted, and that accounts for his pre-occupied actions today. I can see how Maxie would see this, and then see Spin in an embrace (or something) with Mercedes and get jealous. I can also see her calling spin her boyfriend and then retracting it if she isn't sure of what he is feeling after seeing him with someone else.

Also, I loved Mac today. I love Mac and would love to see him get his own storyline. I also like an overprotective Mac and how he reacts to his daughers'/niece's boyfriends.LOL.

Lastly, I loved hearing that Winnie was off somewhere else!

Anyways, these are just my random thoughts and gushes

From ABC hotsheet for week of June 22:

Maxie puts the moves on Spinelli -- though it doesn't end quite the way she expects it to.

I know no Spixie today, sigh can not wait for next week.

I was able to see part of it on mute and when I realized no Spixie then I turned the channel. I forgot about the fact we were getting mob drama and hate sex from the get them on my screen quick duo. Fortunately I had turned if off before that happened. No Spixie and Claudia/Sonny not a good combo, Though I may check out the Michael/Kristina/Alexis scenes.

I think what they are setting up the scenario where Spin feels like his relationship with Maxie will never be more than friendship and so he's ready to move on, just as Maxie is ready to take their friendship to the next step. And after the Mercredes hug, Maxie tries to seduce Spin. But she is doing it because she really wants to where Spin sees it as her staking her claim like she did with Winnie. And after Maxie explains that she was serious this time, Spin, who is still hesitant, tells her he wants to take things slow.
