I figure since I haven't had anything else to add to my initial rant, I should wait and see what happens before I say anything else. I will say that as much as I'm mad at Maxie (and Johnny) for what's being done to Spin and Lulu, I am rooting for them to let Maxie grow up. I agree with you guys that the writing for her as been so out of character. Well, more accurately, it's so out of character for the NEW her. She had such growth this past year, and then BAM, it all went down the drain. (That's my main rant on what happened to Johnny). The writers totally trashed these two characters for the sake of telling this ridiculous story. In my opinion, both Maxie and Johnny need to suffer the consequences for their terrible, selfish decisions by not having the ones they love in their lives and having to work hard to get them back. After that, I could be back on the Spixie and Jolu trains. (I kinda want a Ethan/Lulu/Johnny triangle, but I don't want a Maxie/Spin/Winnie triangle, so I guess we'll see.) |

You know, I am actually grateful for your rant. I have always tried to put a positive spin on things to keep me from getting down from all of the nonsense that we have been seeing on the screen, such as the out of character writing, etc. Your "rant" and those of the others at the start of the thread helped me, at least, get these things out in the open to be discussed. I am also very grateful that you discussed your opinions and frustrations in a respectful way. Messageboards can be so heated sometimes. I agree that Maxie (and Johnny) need to feel the consequences of their actions. They need to be remorseful and work hard to get Spin (and Lulu) back. At this point, that is the only way to redeem the characters and couples, IMO. What really saddens me about this whole story turn is that the couples were in such a good place and they could have had such great storylines. The Spixie/Jolu friendship had SUCH potential. GH needs more storylines that strengthens characters and couples (and friendships). Instead, TPTB did this. With all of the cutbacks, things that are still free include imagination and giving the fans what they want. What I really, really hope is that TPTB learn something from this and try to fix it. At the risk of sounding negative, I hope the backlash continues to be strong. The spoilers indicate a Jolu/Ethan triangle, so you may get your wish. I am not sure what is happening for Spixie. If it involves repairing the damage and restoring what is good then I am on board. Frenchmocha, please feel free to drop in as often (or as seldom) as you wish. You are welcome here! |

Maxie was on today but not Spin. Matt called Maxie to the hospital to ask her out but she said no. Robin was brought in. Maxie slapped Matt when he suggested that Robin attempted suicide. Maxie sat with Robin and then went to Jason and asked him to see Robin (as he was unemotional and wouldn't judge her). Maxie was nice today but there were no mentions of Spin. |

I don't understand?? I thought Maxie told Spin that she loved him but now it's still the same between them, it feels like nothing has changed. I really hope Johnny stops going after her so that her and Spinelli can finally be together. |

I don't understand either. I feel your frustration. This is a huge, glaring hole in the story. This is something that most Spixie fans are having trouble with too. I was on another Spixie board and someone made the comment where she has never seen a soap where an I love you didn't change anything. I wish I had a better answer for you. I am like you. I want Maxie and Spinelli to be together too. The ONLY possible thing that I can even remotely attribute it to is that they wanted to establish that Maxie loved Spin before they threw this big curve ball at us. That said, it still doesn't make sense and it still doesn't change the fact that her I love you has had no impact. I am hoping that somehow TPTB are going to pick this up. We will have to wait and see. I wish I had a better response. BTW...please feel free to return to this thread to discuss Spixie at any time. You are always welcome! Supporting Spixie! |

Where is Spin by the way we have not seen him in days? Can't help it I love the way Maxie talks to Jason; glad I watched; I seriously considered skipping it since Sonny/Claudia were on. It has been so looooooong since we had a Spixie moment. Are we going to get one at least before the fight? |
