The growth they get from this is will help them overall. Like you I hope they will not only fix what they have broken but make it stronger. We just need to support them and each other. We Spixie fans are a great bunch. When one of us is down another pops by to pick the others up. When one is weak another is strong to put things back in perspective. Please feel free to pop in at anytime! TPTB took a long ... long time to bring Maxie and Spinellie together, maybe to long, but it helped grow the relationship so that fans were invested...and I am invested. I wasn't so much a JOLU fan, but somehow they have grown on me, especially the four of them together. I hope it works, but I hope the Spin doesn't just role over for Maxie, make her work for it, a growing moment for Spin. And the Lulu grows up some, she certainly isn't what I would expect from Luke and Laura's daughter. But I see the potential in these young characters, if only TPTB would stay true to character not go with whatever story line they can dream, let the characters drive the stroy line... The critics say that Maxie walks all over Spin. This is the foundation for building an equal relationship. Maxie has to know what she has lost. She has to fight for what she wants. After the fight, when Maxie was looking at the book that Spin gave her, she told Jolu that she normally doesn't fix her messes but that it was different with Spin -- that she was going to fix it. This is potentially the same thing. After this craziness, Maxie needs to work for Spin. Spin needs to know that he is worth working for. This is the growth that they both may need. I'll be here now, like I know you'll be there for me when I get in a funk. Keep the faith, auntdoe!! Like Trixi said, don't let other bring you down! I admit I have been slow to warm to JoLu but they are growing on me as well. Also I do love the dynamic with the FABULOUS FOURSOME. However the damage to that dynamic may not repairable but I am still hopeful. A slow build is always good; espcially when it always leaves you wanting more and the payoff is fabulous. We had a mini-payoff so now lets hope for a bigger one. Spin can not cave too easily though if he does Maxie will always take advantage of him so I know we need to go through this sometimes though You just start to fret about everything espcially when the whole show is a such a mess. |

ITA with what you say. The Spixie relationship has taken a long time to grow. I know that some people have become frustrated with the length of time that it has taken, but to me, that is what has given it its flavour. It is subtle and gentle -- which has it's own strength. After all of this, I don't want Spinelli to roll over either. He needs to hold her accountable for what she is doing. It needs to be a growing moment for both. Spin needs to realize that he deserves better and to make sure that he gets it. Maxie needs to learn to appreciate what she has and to treat it with respect. She needs to learn how not to self destruct. What I really wish that we had was an explanation for why Maxie's behaviour changed so much. I thin that if I had that then I would have a better idea of exactly what it was that she needed to learn. What I HOPE that TPTB learn from this is that they need to stay true to characters in a storyline or they will get a huge backlash. I'm really glad that you came back into the thread so soon! |

I agree with everybody on Spixie. Spin needs to make a stand for himself that he will not get treated like this from Maxie. Maxie is my girl, but I really think she needs this to make her wake up. Normally we get a reason why Maxie is acting this way, but we didn't get anything. Her charc did a 180 in one day with no rime are reason. I think that is what got fans all riled up and also we waited a whole year for Maxie to tell Spin she love him. Then they gave us this pile of crap. |

I'm still a Spixie at heart they can never make me not want them no matter how the try to screw them over. I think, for me, that the most difficult part of this story for Spixie(and there are quite a few)is that Maxie's attitude and actions changed so drastically in such a short period of time with no explanation. I think that the least the fans are owed is an explanation for this. If we get it, that will provide the BEST rationale for Maxie's behaviour. Although, I don't feel that it will ever really answer why it happened so suddenly. Respectful writers would give us an explanation. I agree that the storyline direction and writing has been awful, but hopefully the payoff will be great. I hope that the feedback will lead the TPTB to change the tone of it. It seems too harsh and "sleazy" for Spixie. I think if they changed the tone to one that is more gentle and in tune with the Spixie dynamic that we have seen develop over the last year, then I could handle and accept it better. Thankfully, we have BA's comments to help us. We just have to weather this rough spot and keep the faith! Supporting Spixie! |

Gosh Tina I think I found the pictures you are talking about; they look amazing together. I think it has to be a good sign they did a photoshoot as opposed to taking a scene from the show like the others. I think I have fallen in love all over again, SIGH!!!! Spixie forever!!!!
