She has enjoyed his company and wanted to be around him. That to me doesn't indicate that she would chew him up. Maxie has never really had anything good happen to her. I liked that something good was happening to her with Spin. Some of her rough edges were softening and she was beginning to have faith in herself. I think that Spin's self-esteem was increasing with her affections, her company and her loyalty. I actually believe that out of the two it is Maxie who is the most vulnerable. Now, I am really disappointed with the way the story has turned. To me, it is inexplicable. I am dumbfounded by it. I agree I don't want to see Spin hurt or for Maxie to hurt him. The Maxie who we saw up until the new year wouldn't have done this. I am greatly saddened by what I am seeing. I agree that Maxie needs to face the consequences of her actions and realize that this behaviour is not okay. I am just really disheartened by the direction of the storyline. Betrayal was not ever a part of the spixie relationship. What I am blaming this on right now is bad writing and poor plot points. I am greatly hoping that the writers will pull a rabbit out of a hat and make this storyline great again. It certainly needs a lot of fixing right now. However, maybe both Spinelli and Maxie will learn to stand on their own two feet and grow. Then any relationship that evolves between them (whether romantic or friendship) will be healthier overall. I just hope that the writers think like I do. I hope so too NWG; I am not too encouraged at the moment. It is like all of a sudden the writers turned on Spixie and forgot who they were. I do not know if you watched during the Lucy/Kevin days but that who they remind me of. Maxie reminds me of Lucy. Kevin was more sophisticated than Spin but the Spin/Maxie dynamic still reminds me of the Kevin/Lucy dynamic. I think that is partially why I fell in love with them. Also I saw one person comment on YouTube that compared them to Eugene/Coliope (sp) from DOOL. I think that is a good comparison too. That was a fun quad Kevin/Lucy/Felicia/Mac. It is too bad TPTB did not look back in their history and not copied them but followed a similar path with Jolu/Spixie. It could have been fun. Felicia and Lucy even had a similar relationship enemies that eventually became friends. The writers turned their backs on Spixie, Jolu, Lucky, Nik, and Luke as far as I can tell. Yeah I would agree with that one Also they have abandoned The Qs. Mac, and Alexis. They missed out on a great opportunity with JoLu/Spixie. That foursome dynamic is damaged beyond repair. They could have been golden but instead they chose a more sleazy route. Oh, so right! I wanted a friendship with that foursome so badly. The idea of Maxie and Lulu being frenemies and Johnny and Spin forming a strange but sincere bond. The idea of Spin and Lulu's yin vs. Johnny and Maxie's yang. And we are not going to get that now it is impossible. I am so disappointed they went this route it is a big mistake and hopefully have not damaged Spixie beyond repair. They seem determined to damage JoLu beyond repair (I guess they already have). Well TPTB need to figure out we do not want sleaze but something more real. |

I think that they had so much potential with a Jolu/Spixie friendship but it was ruined. Now two great relationships are ruined because of sleaze and a dynamic where the two directly involved are enabling each other's self-sabotaging behaviours. What a shame. Hopefully, TPTB will realize that people don't like watching betrayal and self-destruction and that there is a limit to what people will tolerate. I am still keeping a positive mind for the bigger picture. (can I say supporting spixie in this thread? LOL) I certainly hope so. I know I am gone if you can't Supporting Spixie!! |

I don't get why they don't give angst that matches the dynamic of the couple. They are changing the couple to match the angst. That's a bit backwards IMO. That said, hopefully their relationship will come out stronger at the end. As you said, romances that start out as friendships are much stronger. BTW..ratings seem to have gone up last week. I can't understand it. However, last week wasn't too bad Spixie-wise. (still supporting spixie!) |

Maxie was on today but not Spin. Jason asked Maxie to go to the apartment to ask her about Ian Devlin. Maxie discussed what she remembered with him. She didn't mention Spin beyond asking about him (at least they included that). Maxie was nice today. She was the Maxie I like...spunky yet calm and more mature. I miss this Maxie and want her to come back full time. |

I'm not looking forward to the 17th either, but maybe it will be good to get it over and done with then we can focus on rebuilding. Or, better yet, get rewrites. I just really miss these two together and hope that it will be a great payoff. |

Thanks I feel like he blew an amazing opportunity. We could've had a fabulous foursome like I mentioned in an earlier post something like Mac/Felicia/Lucy/Kevin. They destroyed any possibility of that even if/or when they fix the couples. It look like Spixie still has hope not sure about JoLu unfortuately. |
