i think sam does care if tracy finds anything..i read sam goes to spinelli and wants him to help bury her past..
if she has nothing to hide why erase things on file..JMO

I really don't think that Sam cares what Tracey thinks of her, but like Tracy(or anybody else) Sam will try make sure that whatever it is it can't be used against her by Tracy or anybody! She isn't the only one who is trying to hide something either, so she is the same as everyone one else in that respect!

yeam if Sam wants to erase things on a file about her, then obviously she is hiding something that could possibly hurt/effect her with the job with Edward. hmm>?
