I too can't believe the number of people they kill and get away with. I don't think that Ric is capable of getting the job done...just like Scotty, he's too bent on revenge, vengance, whatever you want to call it, to get the gang once and for all.
AND Ric is just as bad as Sonny, only in a different way. he intentionally hurts the people he loves.

Diego did pull the trigger on Sam first, and she did shoot Diego in self defense.
