General Hospital - MESSAGE BOARDS

I see on the board everyone is saying when they watched GH My mom always watched but,I watched around the Robin and Stone HIV. I started again with train wreck in 05 the stories before, were they more interesting? The stories were affairs, and romance was it always the mob?I know that people got killed and the Laura and Luke story about the rape I read about this, did the storlines make you want to watch everyday. Did they start a story and pick it up like the next day,and not just drop it or show it over and over?For me now I am glad we have tape and fast forward,maybe in the beginning it was so interesting that people would never miss a show.

Luke and Laura ruled Port Charles.

Robert and Anna were with the WSB.

Monica and Alan were great doctors at General Hospital.

The good ole' days were a lot more fun then today! This show is too much about the stupid mob and not the actual hospital. Not every storyline was about the hospital years ago but, they were better.

I agree it was more about family life noteveryone had a silver spoon in there life they were working people like ruby and bobbie when she was going to school Scottie was in college and Laura was in High school

once again i agree ive been watching since jason was still a quatermain and yes the show was better bsck then bet hey why are we all complaing if we're all still watching??

yes s/l's were better then . The WSB was a big deal but not the whole show. Ruby and the girls and Bobby and the nurses. Steve hardy and the doctors. Frisco and Tony and everyone at the brownstone. Luke with his curly fro. I think it was more interesting then. BUT I WOULD NOT say taht I would ever quit watching. I love the show, then and now. It can only get better so we have to keep watching and what comes aropund will go around again./

GH went south when the new Execs came in during the early nineties.

Soaps evolution can't be blamed for this. Young and the Restless tells great story. It's no wonder they are the #1 for 12 years.

I liked it more back years ago. Audrey had a story line of course she was way way younger but they also left a little to your imagination. Her and Tom Baldwin Jesse and Phil Augusta and Heather and on and on. Loved Blackie but at least i get to see him on ER.

Yes GH was better back then. I love it now but do remeber the story lines from then.
I'll tell you why they were so good then: Gloria Monty. plain and simple.
