Sam is not.....that's as simply as it gets...

Oh my gosh THIS topic REALLY is in need of Cass...I think she would be shaking in head the whole time while posting a response.....*must go off and warn her ahead of time*

I will have to say in my humble opinion the "alikeness" of Brenda and Sam are quite shallow when you think about it!!

While Brenda was definitely NO good girl... it was that Brenda's intentions and what she wanted were never a secret!! She could go up with some of the best of them and hold her own more times than not!! Brenda actions whatever they were made sense to the character because they wrote her character to have enough layers and she interacted great with everyone and was shown to have ties to most on the show!!

Brenda often learned from her mistakes and didn't allow those mistakes to define her!! Brenda wasn't interested in being front and center with Sonny and his business or even Jax for that matter, I am guessing because she had her own work that kept her occupied!!

I just don't see the girls of much as the same in really anyway!!

Well, Nosoup, you know I love you and your theads. However, Brenda and Sam are so not alike.

Well, except for the fact that both of them are girls and have long dark hair... they are nothing alike. Sam may not be all bad... but more often than not, she is led by her anger... and is for the most part dishonest and sometimes does not care who gets hurt while she is getting what she wants... now that describes Carly and Claudia although, I do think Claudia has to potential to be worse than Sam.

Brenda on the otherhand does not have a dishonest bone in her body and wuold never intentionally hurt anybody. She certainly would not threaten children... or stand by while they are being kidnapped.... and Brenda would never set out to get a man just to spite somebody. And if Brenda ever did do something bad or wrong...it would not be on purpose and if it was... she would certainly not ever do it again...and she would be truely sorry for what she did. She would learn from her mistakes.

Brenda would also never presume that she is smarter than a con man who has proved time and time again that he is always one step ahead of everyone. Brenda is a smart girl... street smart and smart smart....Sam not so much.

I don't think Sam is all bad ... and I do think she does at times means well...but Brenda has very little bad in her... at least not the kind of bad that would allow her or make her want to ruin other people's lives...Brenda also is very capable of living her life without a man, and taking care of herself. So, no, Brenda and Sam are nothing alike... I doubt that Brenda would even like Sam or vice versa.

Well NoSoup, you know how much I enjoy a long analytical post but I only have one word for your question here....

(OK, so I couldn't stop at one word...IMHO, comparing Sam in any way to Brenda insults Brenda in the largest possible way. They're simply not in the same universe. In fact, their names shouldn't even be used in the same sentence.)

As a fan of Sam but not as much of Brenda though I lked her and IA that noone could replace her....(Yes I know, I'm wearing all my armor. Go ahead and throw.)....I don't think these two are alike at all. Yer they have similar coloring and statue but that's it.

I have similar colring with half the woman on tv. I don't look like them though.

So no i don't thnk they look alike.

Are they in anyway the same character. Maybe in their since of adventure but not n any other way. Brenda was a diva always certain of who she was.Sam is the exact opposite not sure at all of who she is or what she truely wants. Sam excepts what she feel she can obtain. Brenda went after what she wanted. Sam holds to what she has with an iron lock. Brenda walks away and says I'm better than that. "If you want me fight for it buddy."

Hi Everyone! I don't see any similarities between Sam and Brenda...These two ladies are so very different: Brenda was not a risk-taker and daring into something without thinking and she had this striking beauty about her...Sam is a risk taker diving in without thinking making impulsive moves that always backfire and she is a "kick butt" type of woman....she also has a con side to her...she's lacking in scruples;there are just some things you absolutely do not do as a person and as well as a LADY....unfortunately Sam has not learned that yet!

No way, no how...Brenda had a sense of self and loved her friends, she was right there for them... Benda wasn't a boo hoo, drama queen like Sam is...

The poor Sam syndrome is just that...poor Sam!!!
