Quote shelrick I think GV has been around for about 5 years or so. You mentioned sleeping with Maxie and I would add when JY played Lucky he slept with Sarah, Elizabeth's sister. The pain that Lucky has caused Elizabeth stems back to when he returned from the dead. And since then I have NEVER been a fan of LnL2 again. Ditto!!

I am first an Elizabeth fan, and understand why the danger speech is getting old, especially when it comes to Elizabeth.. he's been saying this to her since 1999. So yea, there are days when you get frustrated with the character Jason. But you have to understand thta Jason isn't just pushing Elizabeth away for her safety, he is also doing so because he feels unworthy of love right now. With the recent death toll of people he loved, he is wondering why do people even like him or can stand to be around him. To clarify my point, I'll use the example of recent Studio (paint & Ladder fall) Liason scenes. After the way the conversation was left last time, with “Do I deserve to be happy”, I think Elizabeth finally decided to go back to the basics – their friendship… to show Jason that he isn’t defined by what he does and the true person she originally fell in love. And why he actually does deserve to be happy! This scene was so vintage Liason… I remember when they first became friends; Elizabeth would just call Jason on his cell for a ride or anything, and he would come running to the studio. For him too, it was a release from his stressful work life. Knowing all the things Jason has to take care of, she still called him thinking he probably needs a break and he did. Elizabeth didn’t push him or force him to help her paint then & there, but left it open that he can come whenever he has some time. At this point, Jason was more surprised than anything, and he tried to argue saying how it is a bad time and that he has his bike when things get too much… she would have none of that, and very logically said (with no manipulation) that this is the only way they can hang out since there is never a perfect time, and it is a lot safer than going at high speeds with no headlight late at night! He was confused at first as to why painting and she explains using her “friend quotes” to her reasoning… and these are all Jason’s own quotes. Jason saved Elizabeth’s heart a decade ago when they first met, and she is doing the same thing for him, using his own arguments to help him see his worth. Jason realizes that this may be the only way for him & Elizabeth to be together, and as he has mentioned before that she brings peace & clarity into his life (like he does for her), so he figures this imperfect situation may just be the only way to get away from all the insanity surrounding his life and readily agrees to help out with painting the studio. As mentioned about the window opening as when the doors close, a window of opportunity always opens up. Personally, I am glad I read everyone’s comments about the window (since it was way out of left field); I just thought it was for ventilation purposes so they don’t inhale all the paint fumes (the engineer in me had the thinking cap on last night). LOL. The mention of Italy and dreams vs. reality … even though it was a very light hearted conversation, both Elizabeth & Jason were finally able to understand each others’ thoughts. Although Italy wasn’t supposed to be a practical gift or anything, the gesture (since they never made it to the Med) still affirmed Elizabeth’s place in Jason’s heart all this time. When it comes to her, he is the most original gift giver… the Italy surprise was just another way for Jason to make Elizabeth’s dream a reality. Starting with the studio (since when he got shot – 2nd time), it was re-leased under Liz’s name – her dream of freedom and independence, the studio has always been that for Elizabeth. Next, he gave her art supplies (last year) since she always dreamt of being a famous artist. He has always done something for Elizabeth by simple gestures to help her shape her dreams into a reality, and it was the same with Italy. But, using the same line of thinking, the most original gift for Jason to give to Elizabeth would be perhaps a marriage! Not just a wedding, or a ceremony in Italy, but an actual marriage. The last couple Liason scenes (including yesterdays’) made me realize that perhaps that is the direction the writers are heading in with regards to our couple. The other thing is why paint the studio… I think it has to do with a new beginning. Although they are re-visiting their friendship, it doesn’t mean that they stopped loving each other or gave up on that part of their lives, all it signifies is that they have come a full circle, and since things are so complicated in Jason’s life especially, Elizabeth is keeping things simple – by simply being his more-than-friend first. But painting the studio means things have changed between them… their more-than-friend status is now that of friends, lovers, couple, and family. So although the task of painting may be just to hang out, the significance is far greater. Hopefully, that helped.. |

A nice sweet home with Lucky, in what planet? Not because Lucky is suppose to be the straight arrow means that they make a good home, look how their marriage went sorrow on both sides, when someone is not happy in a relationship anymore they are not. Jason and Liz balance each other, if Jason did not like that quiet life that Liz he would not have spent all that time with her so many years ago, and the times when they have now. Like Sonny, yeah Jason life is in the mob, but they both men relish the times when they dont have to look at their life that way. That is why they attract to women that are opp. of them alot. Example, Sonny with Kate, and Jason when he was with Robin, and then Liz. The danger talk with him and liz has always been there, even in the past without the kids. |

I do agree Jason is a much better enforce then a boss.... It has been hard for me to buy that act. He isnt selfish enough to be a boss... you have to be an uber a&s to be a proper mob king pin. Although I will give Jason kudos on burning down the Zac. mansion that was pretty classy! |
