General Hospital - MESSAGE BOARDS

I posted a simular thread on another board and decided to ask the same question here. I've noticed that there's very few people that like both characters. I am personally a Sam fan 4ever! but I can deal with Liz(at times) I didn't start this thread to bash either character I was just wondering are there any fans that like both ladies or is it an either or thing where if u like one u can't possibly like the other, and did u switch sides after the SOS?

Liz never truly irritated me until she started following Jason around like some lost puppy dog. She constantly cried on his shoulder about Lucky. She drove Lucky further into his downward spiral. She flrited with both Jason and Patrick while married to Lucky, knowing all the while it worsened his insecurities. Than to make matters worse, she remarried him, making him jump through hoops to regain her trust. And the marriage was under false pretenses, as she passed the child off as Lucky's and loved Jason all the while. True Jason seeing Sam and Ric pushed Jason into Liz's all too eager arms, but Jason had pushed Sam away repeatedly. Then Liz had the audacity to play little miss innocent, when in reality, she lied just like Sam, Jason and Lucky. It made me sick to see both Jason and Liz shove the blame off their failed relationships on Sam and lucky taking no responsability for any of it.

Taye...I actually respect your willingness to open this thread...I think it is different for everyone...I don't think you NEED to dislike one just because you like the other...and there are those that enjoy both characters and the diversity they have to offer!!

However I will respond to BadGirlsHave...because cleary there is a bit of selective memory....Jason has NEVER shoved the blame of his failed relationship purely on Sam...in fact IF you would WATCH and LISTEN to their break up scene at Pentonville Jason clearly accepts blame and even apologized to Sam than following he took responsiblity for HIS part in the issues between the two!!

Elizabeth HAS very little to do with JaSam's issues...being the relationship was between Jason and Sam....True Elizabeth has confided in Jason quite a bit but what I am missing is HOW is this any different THIS time?? This has how it HAS been and let's NOT forget that Jason has confided in Elizabeth as well!! Truth is that Jason wasn't going to give Elizabeth up or turn her away....Now I do concede that is a hard pill to swallow but that is how it has been for 9 years folks!!

Heeeheee I love when I hear SOME say that Elizabeth acts like lil miss perfect...I often wonder if some listen to the dialogue...because Elizabeth has said REPEATEDLY that she isn't perfect and has NEVER claimed to be....and again to set the record set Elizabeth didn't flirt with Patrick and or Jason during that time in order to play on Lucky's insecurities...HECK Lucky was HIGH as a kite during that time and Elizabeth was working a SECOND job to pay for their growing debt in part because of Lucky!! But yes Elizabeth was dead wrong for remarrying Lucky when she didn't love him in that way any longer...and lying about Jake was just as wrong even though her intentions were noble which was to keep Lucky off of drugs when he told her that the only reason he was getting clean was because of the baby....She was wrong end of story!!

You can spin it anyway you like, Sam and Jason were fine to Liz started following Jason around like a lost puppy dog. Liz did flirt, and not to spite Lucky but it certainly didn't help. When you marry someone, its for better or worse in sickness and in health. Liz sleeping with Jason to counter lucky's affair with Maxie was deplorable. Two wrongs don't make a right. And Jason and Liz were nothing but friends throughout GH's history. She took a few rides on his bike and slowdanced with him. That's all. It never was some tortured romance. Yet the writers had to rewrite history villafying both Lucky and Sam in the process to make us swallow this boring pitiful snoozefest that's otherwise known as Liason. Furthermore, Lucky helped Liz back from one of the darkest periods of her life and she acted like an ingrate. And Liz can admit to being wrong all she likes. Her actions clearly spoke volumes on who she thought was wrong. She chastised Sam whenever she had the opportunity. It was poor pitiful doe eyed Elizabeth verses big bad Sam, and that was again forced down our throats to entertain this boring couple..

Liz is self rightous and holier than thou. Especially seeing as she slept with her best friend's ex-lover, and furthermore lied to a very sensitive recovering Lucky, about loving him, all so she could keep Jake safe. And clearly that matters not to her at all right now. I mean hell Michael's in a coma and Kate was shot and still dutiful Mother of the Year Elizabeth neglects the danger that stares her right in the face..

Excellent post Wish!!!! See Liz fans r the 1st to admit that she's not perfect and makes mistakes. She never does it to purposely hurt anybody tho and that is the difference btwn the two. Some don't see Sam's many, MANY faults. As everybody knows I am a Liz fan b/c she is so much more real. She doesn't have to be a ride-or-die chick for Jason to be madly in love w/her and she NEVER, EVER has used her body to get what she wants. If I am wrong, somebody please correct me on that but I have never seen her do that. She is no saint but then nobody is. However, she does admit to her mistakes and owns up to them, another difference btwn the 2.

Actually you also can spin it anyway you like because EVEN Sam, herself said that her and Jason's issues were things that WERE PRIOR TO Elizabeth....If you want I will give you the link in where she says it herself!!

Hhhmm I wonder if comprehension is an issue because I CLEARLY SAID that Elizabeth was WRONG!!! I am truly baffled when SOME posters come on and right away just start bashing for NO reason....I didn't bash anyone if anything I called out Elizabeth!! Guess again it is SELECTIVE understanding or lack of!!

I mean really I don't think I have ever said that Jason and Elizabeth were more than friends in my post..(even though I think they were being they did actually date for a very brief time)....Elizabeth besides Carly has been a staple in Jason's life for 9 years....If you just started watching the show about oh lets say 4 years ago than I would understand how you might NOT know that!! If you want I can give you 9 years of clips of them if you want...just a helpful hint so you can at least acknowledge certain events...Again just to help you....I will go slow
