Fan bases on this board have their "LOVE" threads. I stay out of those whether I like the character or not. If I can't stand the character, I do stay out of them for that reason because I think it should be respected. What I'm seeing right now is, when someone doesn't like what is being said about their fave, they REPORT IT! OMG! This is an MB for different opinions. I have been personally bashed for not liking a character and then everyone else is punished for it when the whole thread is deleted.
I am bashing CHARACTERS and I think we should be allowed to dislike who we want and post about it without it being reported by crybabies.
When the title is an OBVIOUS BASH and you like that character, then STAY OUT OF THE THREAD. We don't go into your love threads and start trouble, can some of us have the same freaking COURTESY! THANKS!

Oh please, JC this poster is the actual problem.
When a poster gets personal with ME first, I will rip them a new one right back.

I knew you couldn't ignore me. I mean so much to you! LMAO

And JC, you do know MY rep on this board. I do bash characters and I do get bashed for that personally and you do know I don't sit back and take that crap. I just don't think that other posters should be punished for it and have an entire thread deleted because "lovers" HATE on the other posters for their opinions.

JC --- I just want to say that we should be allowed to voice our opinions GOOD AND BAD!!! I've gotten trashed when I don't agree with others opinions as has Reign. I don't take it personally, but it is annoying and typically causes me to stay off this site.

JC, Please allow venting/bashing threads to exist...It really isn't fair to have NON Bashing threads and NOT have venting threads....

As Reign said, if I don't like a character I stay out of the respective NON Bashing thread, however when there is a thread challenging something that ISN't marked No Bashing, I post my opinion and get bashed by the ones liking the character I'm voicing my opinion of...Not Fair, but I don't cry foul and hit the bad post. I'm an adult and understand NOT to take it personally.

I though this site is to further our enjoyment of a FICTIONAL Show that we have in common......Good or bad...I like this site and the majority of the posters of this board.

Thanks for "hearing" me out.

Shadoe...

Thought I'd add my two cents and hope it helps.

For one, I honestly didn't know it was going to be a bash thread. I figured that the original poster didn't like Lulu (cuz she spelled it LooLoo), but I thought she was just venting about Lulu's scene in that show and wanted some opinions on the episode from all sides. As a Lulu fan, if I had known it was intended to be a bash thread, I probably wouldn't have gone in and said anything because, like someone said earlier, Lulu haters stay out of the love thread (Which I appreciate, btw). And Lulu lovers usually don't like to go in them because impassioned "discussions" usually occur.

So I guess I'm trying to say, maybe it would help if the bash threads were labeled as such, like the love threads are. Lovers know to stay out and Haters know to go in.

Ok, this is the perfect example of something. Shadoe and I have had a HUGE difference of opinion and even fought about it but we have moved on and do get along on this board.

I was bashing LULU and posting my dislike for her when another poster came along and posted that "all of the hatred for a FICTIONAL CHARACTER" blah blah blah, and that we must be jealous, etc. This is a PERSONAL bash and not keeping with the topic. I then went after this person and challenged her in my very sarastic manner.

I have NEVER EVER gone into a fanbased LOVE thread and bashed the character, NEVER. But I have been called names and told I was stupid, tasteless, fat, ugly, r e t arded, ignorant and pathetic for NOT LIKING a fictional character. (not all in one day though lol). That lulu bash thread was about a scene from yesterdays show and it was an obvious bash thread, so why not stay out of it if that bothers some people so much? They HAVE to defend their faves but can't deal with haters going in to their threads to bash the characters. geesh.

ok...this is just my silly opinion but even if a thread is bashing a someone i enjoy on the show i can either stay out of it or respectfully post in it or just read it, and possible get a different outlook on a situation I never thought about before. No matter what sometimes my faves get on my nerves as well but I think we are all adults here and can view bad things said about the characters we like without taking it so personally.

Just comment on something you said. I do have total respect for the fanbased love threads. I do not ever go in them to even read them (even if I like the character). I try to respect that as much as I can because you all should have a safe haven for your faves. But why can't I bash that character in a thread without someone getting personal about it? I have no problem with someone defending their fave. I will debate it on an intelligent, friendly and mature way (well, as much as I can be mature that is, hee), but when the poster starts questioning MY opinion or my taste or my feelings about it, I will strike back and rip them a new one, TOO. It's not a threat, I will rip them a new one and others have seen me do it lol.

Reign,

I am not trying to pick a fight with you but I respect that JoLu is not your favorite thing. Okay, We get it. We just need to breathe and remember. We have different opinions and if you don't like what I said, then let me know without getting mad at me. I went back and read my posts and I know I didn't say anything to bash anyone. I just stated my opinion. Just tell me with which post you had problems with me and I am so willing to listen to your point of view. I don't want this to get any worse than it has. I do think that thread needs to be closed because it did get pretty ugly. Let me know what you think!

I've been on the receiving end of Reign's opinion, but I don't take it personal or feel threatened by it. I understand AND like Reign's position. She's an equal opportunity basher. Post opposing thoughts and views, back them up if you can and move on....Don't take it personal and bring anger/hatred into it. I get a kick out of Reign's views and sometimes even learn a thing or two...*oops, did I just type that.....ssshhhhh*

I completely hear what you're saying. I'd be the same way if someone came at me for one of my opinions. The other board got way out of hand on both sides (If I may say so, respectfully) and it just kept escalating.

If you'd like, I think I can offer some insight into the mind of a Lulu lover.

I know for me (and I think a lot of other Lulu lovers) it seems that no matter how a thread starts, it eventually turns into a Lulu bash thread. I've seen that happen in the most random of threads. I think the Lulu lovers get tired of that happening and get defensive about it when it does. I post with those other Lulu lovers in the JoLu threads and they are really pleasant and fun. I know they try to stay out of the threads that they know are Lulu hate threads to avoid this very thing from happening. This thread caught all us Lulu lovers off guard. And by the time we realized it was a Lulu hate thread, it was too late. lol. The **** had already hit the fan.

That's in no way taking either side in the posts from either side in the other MB. That's just a side note. That's also why I made the comment about labeling a thread as a bash thread. That way, lovers of that character know what to expect. And haters can post their hate and rant and rave in peace.

Here's another point to ponder...If a thread isn't started as a "bash" thread and it isn't started as a NON "bash" thread and someone posts an opinion that strikes the reader as harsh, don't post without thinking...

If someone is venting and a "lover" takes offense, back OUT. Don't take the bait, don't type a response to the one that is upsetting....common sense.

"You" are in control of "YOUR" actions. ("YOU" being the universal reader/poster, not you specifically Reign or FrenchMocha)

Well thank you. THat is a very mature thing to say (and I am one of the most immature posters on this board, just ask anyone, hee) and I really do appreciate it.

Here is the thing. I bash EVERYONE on that show. My faves included. If I don't like what they did or said, I don't defend them, PERIOD (unless I am being really sarcastic). If someone wants to challenge me or debate me, bring it on but do it about THE CHARACTER and do not get personal with me. If the poster sticks to the actual topic at hand, everyone gets along, but when a poster makes stupid comments like "jealous much" or going after us about how we feel towards a character, then that's getting personal. We have as much right to hate as you do to love and if you can't debate it without getting personal, then stay out of the thread (not directing this just to you but in general). You will NEVER EVER see me in the fanbased threads bashing your fave, but when you come into a bash thread and get personal instead of just defending the character, then THAT is starting a fight, and I don't appreciate being the one blamed here, ok hon?
But thanks for saying what you did, I really respect that.
