Don't you think he was a bit harsh with Jason? Jason has consistently been a good friend and confidante to Sonny, yet today, I thought Sonny was wrong in the way he jumped on Jason. It was almost as if he was blaming Jason for what happened.

Before you jump down my throat, let me further explain. Sonny has spent over 10 years in the mob and then he blithely walks away thinking there would be no consequences. Sonny got rid of his guards and chose to live the life of a civilian. Was that wise?

Jason had said that you can never get out of that business - something that Jason learned from Sonny. Yet, in his arrogance, Sonny refused to believe that applied to him. Refused to accept guards or to follow basic safety meausures. Let's not forget, Sonny recently had interaction with Karpov.

And somehow all of that is Jason's fault?

Where was Max? Where was Milo?

I feel bad for Sonny. What a horrible wake-up call to the life that he tried to escape. If I've read the situation wrong, forgive me. This is what I perceived.

I wasn't a bit happy when Sonny started screaming for Jason. Good grief, the man treats him like an enemy but the moment things go wrong he wants Super Jase to fix it. What was jason going to do? Gun down the bad guy in a church in front of God and everybody???

Don't get me wrong, I felt really really bad for Sonny, but he didn't win any points being mean to Jason...

At the very least, Sonny should have had some major security at the church. They keep saying Max is with his father. Milo was there. Sonny allows himself to continue to be an easy target for his enemies. Makes me wonder if he has a death wish. Monica said it best - something like - "how many times has this happend to people who are standing next to you?" I get that he's upset but Sonny tends to blame everyone else for his problems. He rarely if ever takes responsibility for anything. Just look at his history.

When Sonny first snarked at Jason for being "right"
I thought "Whoa - slow down"
But then I thought that Sonny was just lashing and reeled himself back in.
Problem is - he gave Jason an order. Jason doesn't 'do' orders anymore. Not without evidence....more trouble to come me thinks.

LOL...That is just it Wren....Sonny doesn't think the rules apply to him....Sonny pulling the guards off of him if it was JUST about HIM...however that decision effects the people around him, and Michael and Kate have had to pay for Sonny's REFUSAL of even comptemplating that option!!

Yet when all heck breaks loose Sonny is back to barking orders at Jason with I am sure all the expectations that Jason will in fact do it....then he has the audacity to turn around and tell Jason that he(Jason) likes being right..

For real Napolean Sunshine...how about understanding that if you want to go legit then FINE but keep some dayum protection around for at least those that are around you...take some precautions!!

Sonny likes to blame others for his failings. This happened because . . . Jason didn't do his job . . . . the church wasn't properly secured . . . . . . Venus was aligned with Mars. It's crazy. Take responsibility, Dude!

And, yeah, Vannie, Jason doesn't work for Sonny anymore. In fact, Jason now works for himself. Because of Sonny. And, I agree with you. I don't think this is the end of it.

Jason better tell sonny tomorrow that he isn't going to do what Sonny ORDERED him to do or I will never like Jason again. I never liked him anyway, but I won't like him even more again now.

Sonny and Jason sort of made up before the wedding. I think they want the best for each other. I think Sonny said those things to Jason because Jason is the only one who could possibly know how Sonny truely feels. I don't think Sonny was intentonally mean. In fact I did not perceive Sonny as mean to Jason as much as he is angry at the situation and possibly himself. He now knows that he really never can be out of the mob. Saying he is out is not gonna ever keep him safe. I don't think Jason was angry at Sonny for the way he talked him. Jason realizes Sonny was just blowing off steam.


I think Sonny said those things because he now realizes Jason is right, he will never ever get to have a nice life, and he will never ever be totally free of the mob. It is a very hard pill to swallow when you realize that the life you thought you were gonna have is a fantasy.
I don't think Sonny was really directing any of those toward Jason, I think he was just screaming to scream, and Jason being the good friend, listened to him.

Jason has always been the voice of reason in any situation even when Sonny was still in the mob, Jason was the one who remained level headed. Sonny has never been able to keep his cool. Not that he should have a cool attitude after his fiance is shot at their wedding.

Both AZ and Karpov have enough reason to go after him regardless of his mob status. AZ for one could not give a flying fig if Sonny is or isn't out of the mob. Why do you think he went to Sonny before the wedding. That was so not in goood faith, it was just a ploy. Sonny has been delutional to think he could ever totally be safe from the mob.

Sonny thinks that whenever he speaks, the world listens.

In Sonny's perfect little world, him and Kate are off skipping in a field of flowers and hopping around the mulberry bush.

So now we are going to have Sonny barking orders again

It is obvious that this was the ticket to get Sonny back into the mob.

Jason, is such a good friend to put up with half of Sonny's BS...in this case however I can understand that Sonny was in shock and quite emotional.

On a side note: I did feel sorry for Sonny, gahhh me and my pity on Sonny

Yes, Sonny was upset, but, he always seems to lash his frustrations out on Jason when things go chaotic....It has always been in Sonny's mind that Jason is his protege and he doesn't respect Jason and see him as an equal to him...I love Sonny, but that's one thing that's annoying his lack of respect for Jason all down thru the years....I wish Sonny would begin to show Jason more respect....respect as a man, a mob boss, and as a friend.

i didn't necessarily think sonny was being mean w/ jason. the way he was speaking and reacting....that's just sonny. *shrugs* jason is someone he can count on and knows despite everything has his best interest at heart. who else would he turn to? he hasn't exactly got a long list of friends. jason understands this.
