General Hospital - MESSAGE BOARDS

Hi, I'm new to posting, but must admit I have been lurking and reading for several months. I hope you don't mind my joining your lively discussions.

Was it just me or did anyone else find it quite rude for Kate to make Olivia her MOH when she already had asked Maxie? And then to top it, she didn't even bother to let Maxie know. I realize Sonny talked Kate into making Olivia her MOH, but since when in any of the wedding planning did Kate let Sonny make such a major decision? A MOH should be who the BRIDE wants.

The whole thing was awkward. I am not a big fan of Kate's but I felt sorry for both women when Sonny, in his eagerness, and joy deluded state, suggested Olivia be the MOH.

I am sure Maxi was dissapointed, but she seemed to recover well. I don't think it would have dawned on Kate to care about Maxie's feelings.


Aside from the yowser fight - I thought Olivia stepped up well, even arranging that stupid veil.
I was sorry there were no little ones at the wedding, they are always my favourite part when they walk down the isle.

I thought Maxie just stepped up for the rehearsal and I didn't know she was asked to be the real MOH. It was really rude of Kate not to let her know, especially when little Maxie walked in and Olivia had on her dress!!

But then again, when has Kate done anything on her own without someone being told to take care of it - it is my wedding day and i am the bride!!!!

How rude!!!

Not to excuse Kate because it was pretty rude, but I wonder if the thought Maxie would see this as just part of the job of being her assistant -- to step in and solve the crisis, that is. I didn't think Maxie seemed all that put out once she realized who Olivia was, just pretty relieved that the dress turned up and that she wasn't going to have to explain what happened to it or why it wasn't where it was stupposed to be. She even said she liked her dress better and was relieved to be off the hook.

But, yeah, it was rude not to tell her that the plans had changed. Now, had Maxie been the intended maid of honor all along and this happened, she should be offended.
