I consider myself a realist, so I can understand is a person did things in the past that they are not proud of, and for whatever reason they may chose to keep that part of their life bottled up, so that they can move on to better things. That is what I thought of Kate at first. Didn't know what she was hiding, just felt like it must have been pretty serious for her to change her name and forget her past. However, according to yesterday episode. Kate/Connie was very much loved and respected by her family and the community. Also her childhood was somewhat normal, according to Olivia she was an only child and was spoiled by her parents. So Ive come to the conclusion that she is the Self centered, want to be perfect, B**** the she portrays. What kind of person would leave their parents to go off to college and not one come back home (especially to parents who loves you) not to mention that you are an only child. And to add insult to injury. She had to nerve to change her name, and never invite her parents to visit. I dont know what Sonny sees in her. She is so Fake. I hope she is found out SOON.

Well, Sonny already knows who Kate is was, and doubt that is gonna matter much to everyone else...and well, Carly is about to out her...hmmm Carly who also lied about who she was, and she didn't do it to make something good out of herself like Kate. Kate did not do what she did out of malicious intent like Carly.

When Kate did what she did she was young and she thought she was in a place where the kind of dreams she had could not come true of she did not change who she was, I don't think she really meant to hurt her family. She did say the other day that even though she changed her name and her whole life... she still talked to her mother, and her mother was still proud of her.

Kate is older now, and I think she sees that she probably didn't have to change who she was to get where she is, and I think she is full of regret, because she did not truely know what she would have to give up to have her dreams come true. It's an old addage, everybody at one time or another does something when they are young and ends up regretting it when they are older...that's why everyone says I wish I knew then what I know now. Hine sight is twenty twenty.

Trust me, I have been full of Kate hate, but now I can understand why she did what she did, and I see her in a different light now, but I do wish she would not be so stuck up and hauty.

She couldn't invite her parents to the wedding. I believe it was mentioned that they died in a car accident.
I also do not see Kate as a fake, I agree that she created a persona that she thought she could succeed with. I am still not so sure that there aren't some more secrets to come out tho.

I know that they mentioned Kate's Mom is dead.

I understand people make decisions when they are young that maybe weren't right.
Ice water runs through Kate's veins at times.
I don't think we need to bash Carly at the moment - on this one.

Currently, I really disliked how Connie was treating Olivia.
Insisting she calls her "Kate" and her obvious embarrassment of having her come to the dinner.

Sonny was wrong in asking Kate to include Olivia in the wedding party. But he is so darn excited, I think he wasn't aware at the awkwardness of the moment.
anyway - I am sooo excited about today. It's not on here until 2.

I liked the idea of Kate - but the combo of Sonny and Kate just left me cold. (When they are passionate - I feel embarrassed )
Anyway - as her character has evolved more - I find her exceptionally annoying, and ITA Nightmoves her complete dismissal of her adoring parents, must have hurt them deeply. Not liking that.

as far as the night thread goes - I record the show, being in Canada - I get no Soapnet.

Can someone correct me if I am wrong....but wasn't Kate crying to Sonny the other day about not being able to wear nonna's necklace??? So why did she make a big deal about not wearing it....ugh no wonder I can't stand this broad!!

Sonny and Kate are pretending to be someone they are not. Sonny is in denial as a result of Michael's shooting and Kate is as shallow as a "mud puddle"...loved that line by Olivia

Kate has no family and no friends...only Sonny...very precarious position to be in.
