The whole Laura scenes were stupid to me. I know I will get many comment's thrown back at me, but the scenes were not good. The thing about her dozing off all the time I think is pointless. Why wouldn't she wanna tell her other children and Lulu should just tell her she didn't kill anyone! The acting was ok. It wasn't impressive and I hope they do more than these type of scenes. We need scenes with Carly, Lulu and Laura. We need some scenes with Nikolas. Lucky can go burry himself in whole for the next few weeks until he comes up with a better s/l. I know I will get angry comments. Bear with me. Does anyone agree?

I really thought Genie's performance has been great. BUT I have to say that I don't see how they could keep Laura's waking up from Nikolas. He is her guardian and conservator and that means he actually has more control than she does. And that makes no sense that he would not know. The whole thing seems a little odd. I am not understanding it at all. I don't think I can agree about what scenes we see but I understand where you are going.

I am sorry but I am going to have to disagree with you. The scenes with Laura/Lulu were so heartfelt. I guess its the mom in me. I can relate because I have children. I thought
the acting was superb with JMB and especially with GF! It was one of those bonding moments between a mother and her child. It was very sweet and I was bawling like a baby.

I can agree to a point. I don't see how AS A MOTHER she could keep her status a secret from her children. The very people that need, love and care for her.

I am not a mother, nor do I wish to be one, but I am a daughter (obviously) and I can say that it is bordering on mean for Laura and the staff of Shadybrook to keep her current status a secret from everyone. It is tantamount to a scam. "Let's pretend I'm not conscious and cognizant of what's going on since we don't know how long it will last..." Why should it matter how long it lasts. Give the family any of the time they can have with lucid Laura.

And considering her catatonic state was self-induced, she can learn to control and eventually recover, especially if she was told the truth about Scott killing Rick. That would probably help in her recovery.

The few lucid moments that an Alzheimer's patient has are very precious to the loved ones that get to witness them. I know this isn't exactly the same, but the premise is similar.

Why would the doctors & staff at Shadybrook agree to Laura's wishes without consulting Nic???? He is her legal guardian.

Yes, the "mama's here" bit was touching, but how is keeping this secret going to help Lulu? Won't she doubt her own sanity at all? If she is capable of having vivid interactive hallucinations about/with Logan, it isn't out of the realm of possibility that she could have hallucinations about/with her mother, the very person she has tried to be like, if only for the connection. If she doubts herself, then will Laura decide to come clean with Nic?

Maybe they don't want us to be sure she's real? Maybe we're supposed to question if she's in Lulu's head to help her get well?

I posted something similar in another thread yesterday. While I am so happy to see Laura back again I didn't like the dozing off thing. They could really do without that.

I have to agree, a little. I loved both performances, but Laura's end of the conversation lacked something. Maybe that was intentional since she's been out of it for so long. I don't know. I just wasn't following the dialogue very well. The emotions were great though.

I totally agree, the minute Laura said she had waking spells, I knew she is just a hallucination of Lulu's.
There is no way Laura would not want to see Nicholas or Lucky or spencer, even if it was only for 5 minutes. That's just not Laura

What I would find really interesting is IF Laura is in Lulu's head it turned out their minds met in the "ether" and it really did wake Laura up.

I wondered about this, too. I am hoping she is not just another "hallucination" like Logan.

Nothing thrown at you as I agree as these scenes were lost on me too. I find them to be pointless. IF the scenes with her mom are a figment of Lulu's imagination, then they would make sense but are still pointless to me and a waste of having GF come back.

I have to ask, why would Carly spend time with Laura? They never got along and Laura never really liked her, especially after Laura was locked out of Deception in the cold.

They may not have gotten along before, but they do have lulu in commen now. lulu is the only one that Carly is always nice too.

i'm still not so sure Laurais part of lulu's "crazyness" The waking spells would make sence, with the sleep she has been in for years. We always knew that She would come back, that's why they never killed her off. They always come back. (eventully) the question is : is it for good?

Hard to answer if she's back for good as that could be a possible spoiler but if you really want to know, then the spoiler thread would be the place to go.
