I have been noticing that after we lost the previews due to money issues the show had gone from 53 to 54 minutes long to 55 minutes. So I felt well we lost the previews but we get more GH. Then the last couple of epis have only been 52 minutes with commercials.

First we are told no new beginning due to cost then we lose the previews and now the show is being shortened for more sponsors. I feel cheated and am wondering if at some point GH will be cut to a half an hour like some others soaps.

What a shame!!!!!

I hope not!! My point in the post was just that the show is getting shorter and that is disappointing!

Actually without the commercials, GH is already only about a half hour (approximately 35 minutes). The show's running has gone down over the years but so has every prime time show (40 minutes from 50-45 minutes). But there is no threat of GH becoming a half hour show (aka 20 minutes long) at least any time soon.

Yes there are a lot of commercials now with all shows you are right.

My thoughts on it becoming a half hour is more of a fear then a realistic view. I just feel sad that it is getting shorter and noticably so in the last few weeks. I was shocked when it ended 52 minutes in the last few days. It is really the only show I watch so I need my hour!!

Yes that is very true!!! You are right about that!!

Okay well I feel better but still sad it is being shortened a bit lately!!

Now a days GH would be better if it was 1/2 hour....... so much time is wasted on the SAME characters saying the SAME thing on the SAME couch everyday...... 1/2 would force them to cut down on that crap and give us what we really want to watch.

There are no more hour shows. Never has been really. Not even 60 mins. LOL Commercials rule.

Well better wall paper/backburner than completely fired. I think it would end up being the Skate, Jolu, SpinMax, Jarly show and that would make me turn GH off for life.

I don't think that a minute or two more or less makes much difference. They can't do anymore in 54 or even 52 mins then they can in 55.
