General Hospital - MESSAGE BOARDS

I only watched the show on & off when he first came to town, I'm trying to understand how they could be bringing the s/l back, so here's what I think I understand....Manny is/was related to Alcazar (cousin or something?) which is why he was after Jason...now I'm not sure how that transformed into trying to kill all the women on GH, Liz, Sam, Carly??? Also, this new possible twin brother...did we know about him before or is this completely new???? And did he have any issues w/ Ric, is that why he would be targeting him now and his love interest being Liz again????

manny and alcazar are not related but business associates. the ruiz family came to port charles to squash sonny and jason but manny killed his father for allowing jason to live. Alcazar wanted revenge and what better way then to get manny to kill sonny and jason.

HISOTRY OF MANNY RUIZ part 1-
Alcazar wanted to do away with the Corinthos/Morgan orgainzation, but since he was "pretending" to be out of the mob at that time, he couldn't do it himself. So he called in help from the Ruiz family (mostly Manny & his brother Javier). Manny sent Javier to ambush Sonny while Jason was out of town. Sonny fought back but was eventually trapped in a stair-well at the MetroCourt Hotel. Jason arrived just in time to save Sonny by shooting Javier. The head of the Ruiz Family showed up (he was also Javier & Manny's dad) and basically said that the better man won and "his" family would cut their loses and return to Miami. Manny couldn't live with that and killed his own father, but blamed Jason for having to do it.

And, I don't believe this is, Manny.

This priest is Manny's brother, or relative, or part of Manny's mob out for vegence.

Part 2
Alcazar & Manny set up an ambush at Sonny's house, in which Ric was shoot and almost died. After he recovered he returned the favor and ended up shooting some of Ruiz's men. Manny, who still blamed Jason for the death of his family members, becamed obsessed with getting him and followed Jason and Sam to Hawaii. He managed to capture them, but they fought back and turned the tables on him. Manny escaped the Hawaiian police and followed JaSam back to PC where he turned his attentions to hurting Jason thru the persons he loves most. He shot and killed John Durant (Carly's father) stalked Sam. Eventually he was captured and diagnosed with a brain tumor. Robin said that the tumor was the reason for his violent behavior and that he wasn't reposible. After the tumor was removed, his attitude was completely different. He was a softer gentler Manny. Alcazar, Sonny, Jason and Sam did not believe it, but Alexis did (sort of). She agreed to defend him against all the charges pending against him and she got the case dismissed.

Part 3
Eventually it was revealed to everyone that Jason & Sonny were right, Manny was just playing everyone, bidding his time until he could make his move. When he was discovered, he took Liz hostage. Lucky followed and broke his back during the fight to rescue Liz. Jason arrived shortly after and shot at Manny who fell into the harbour and was presumed dead (by everyone except Jason). Life went on (as normal as possible for Jason & Sam) until Sam was shot. Later it was revealed that Manny was the shooter in that incident. After Sam was released from the hospital, Manny kidnapped her from Alexis house and planned to use her to kill Jason. Jason, with help from Lucky, Liz and Epiphany, learned that manny was hold sam in one of the hospital's sub-basments and rushed to the rescue (with a drugged out Lucky by his side). They found Sam and rescued her, but Manny got off a shot that hit Jason in the shoulder. That didn't stop him though. Jason followed Manny to the roof where they struggled. Lucky found them and got a shot off. Manny went over the roof and hit the pavement, where the PCPD cororner proclaimed him dead. Lucky said he shot Manny and the force of the bullet pushed him over the side. But the forensic report said the cause of death had been blunt force tramua and there was NO bullet wound. Jason had killed Manny not Lucky. (Alexis used this info to keep Jason away from her Sam.)
When Manny was last seen, he was in the GH morgue. The person to claimed the body promised "your death will be avenged by brother". When the camera panned back to show the person standing over Manny's body it showed -
his twin? look-a-like?
That was the last that was seen of that person until yesterday's episode when the tatooed hand of the priest ws shown. Assuming it is the same person, we will have to wait and see if it turns out tom be Manny, his brother or someone else entirely!

I think that Spanish guy who walked in the room was Manny's twin brother, but they never showed his face. What made me believe it was another brother because in Spanish he said mi hermano (which means my brother). He also said something else but I don't speak Spanish that well! I don't know what Ric has to do with Manny, but I think it won't be anything good.

Yeah it's crazy but GH loves to do the recast stuff. and they have TWO versions of it-

Straight Up Recast
Take a Favorite Charater and recast the role with another actor (Which hardly ever turns out to be as good as the original)
and
With a Twist Recast
Take a popular actor and cast him a new role (usually the evil or nice twin of the person they played the first time around) and in typical soap style when the "new" character is the "good" twin it usually ends up actully being the "evil" twin trying to trick everyone.
I certainly hope that that will NOT be the case in this situation. Let Manny stay dead, and let this new character actually be a person does not mean to harm Sonny & Jason!
