So Kate shifted after that. (personally Sonny is equally to blame for the limosex along with Carly) Anyway, I just needed to say kudos on portraying a devastated woman in love. Way to go Megan!!!! Great acting by yet another awesome talent on this show with so-so writing.....  I too love Megan Ward and her character, and was sad when I saw so not so friendly opinions on the actress and character but everyone is entitled to their opinion and here is mine. In yesterdays scene Kate was not overly emotional and basically cold and some thought it weird I, however, saw it as Megan sticking directly to character Kate is well guarded and though in the past year Sonny has broken most of them down he was the one that hurt her so they quickly went back up this seems to be the way this character deals with pain . I, therefore, think it was ludicrous for her to act like Carly and be overly emotional and dramactic. It wasnt about how good or bad an actress any of LW or MW are it was how their character would react in that situation and IMO they both did a great job. P.S I hope Kate kicks Carly's arse and that a rumor I read about a kate slapping Carly occurs. Ditto to both of you!!!! And I would LOVE to see Kate slap Carly, a good ole wallop would make my day

Didn't Sonny initiate the limo sex? Either way I think Kate was better focused without him! True, she was focused, stuck up, etc. As bad as I personally may think/feel that Sonny is for her, he has humanized her (brought more of Connie out of her). She has stepped over lines that I personally don't agree with as well.  As for initiating the limosex...I don't remember, honestly, and to me it doesn't matter...neither one stopped it (that's one point that really matters to me).  I like the fact that she has to play the duality of Kate & Connie. That has to be difficult. It's not like multiple personalities (OLTL Vicki & Jess). Deep down she's Connie, but in public she has to be Kate. To switch back and forth in a moments notice depending who is around...It is a dynamic role that if the scenes were better written could really stand out!

It would look to someone that doesn't understand her & her duality as though she was aloof, but she was crumbling on the inside, she just couldn't allow that to be obvious. Carry that over to her confronting Sonny add in the devastation that she had to feel with some of his words...she voiced it at one point when she spoke of all the people that warned her that he always goes back to Carly (to me that was Connie coming out). As for what the future may hold, I wouldn't mind someone slapping Carly. I do believe she has much worse coming to her on many levels. And for spoilerish stuff, I will confide those in the spoiler discussion thread....

Kate would never act as emotional as Carly does at least not in front of people. I'm happy to see all the Kate lovers as I felt very lonely for a long time! |
