Quote Angel929: Everyone reacts in a crisis differently. I'm one of those people who stays calm until that crisis passes then lose it. But most people I know freak out. I've called 911 several times while people twice my age stood around, frozen. The just didn't know what to do.

Basically, it comes down to the thought process. In emergencies, my brain immediately shuts down all emotion and I focus on what needs to be done. I'm not an emotional person in public so I'm used to shutting down my emotions until I'm in private. But others, the emotions take over and the thought process shuts down. When that happens, they have so many emotions going on in their brain that it is like they are on a spinning ride. Until the ride stops, they can't think.

I too thought Lulu call 911. But then I thought of my older sister. My older sister could not call 911 to Tsave her life. Lulu's tough act is just that, an act. You never see her being tough when others are not around to protect her.

Well I didn't lose it totally, I was focused on dh and what was happening that is why I called 911. He could not get up, he had drool, he couldn't move his left arm, had I waited any longer he would not be here.

I do know even if my brother were a cop, I would have called 911, or Johnny as she always does...jmo...Peggy

You basically confirmed what I just said. You didn't react emotionally. You reacted logically, stuffed your emotions, and focused on what needed to be done.

However, some people react emotionally to situations. The minute they react emotionally, they have so many different emotions going on, they can't shut them down and focus.

If Lulu was the type of person to not react emotionally, she would have called 911. However, she isn't that type of person. How many times does Lulu talk without thinking? That shows that Lulu gets caught up in the emotions of the situation.

Basically it like the mother whose child's leg gets cut, the child needs 20 stitches and the mother picks up the child and takes them to the doctor. Compared to the mother whose child skins its' knee, the mother sees blood and freaks. One mother is reacting from a logical part of the brain and the other is reacting from the emotional part of their brain. Neither is a bad mother.

It isn't something that can be controlled. It is an initial reaction in your brain rather you react with emotions or logic. You know the right-brained/left brained stuff.

Great post. I completly agree. Lulu has always reacted with emotion that is why she doesn't think before she speaks. She speaks from her heart, wrong or not. It's not out of character for Lulu to act on emotions.

Not to say I didn't act out of emotions with dh when I was yelling at him to get up and he couldn't, yet I still yelled until I saw he couldn't actually move (which Lulu "saw" Maxie wasn't moving and the look on Logan's face). I told him I was calling 911 and he's the one who told me not to! Good thing I did! We all act out of emotion at some point in time it's human nature...Peggy

Quote mrs.corrinthos: I honestly have tried to like Lulu... when I started watching the show I thought that she was this sweet and innocent little Luke Spencer baby - but it did not take long for her to make me insane! I don't know, I just find that Maxie is much more fun, interesting and adorable!! I love it when they get into it at work, haha - Maxie is one that will always go for the jugular.

The thing that I like about this whole Maxie-Logan-Lulu situation is that it shows that these two girls do actually care about each other, despite all of the drama that they create. I think that they don't like each other because they see each other essentially as competition - and Maxie doesn't do competition well. They also like to hold a grudge ... it's funny how Lulu was so concerned about her, it showed another side of her. I think that this story line has a lot of potential. These two girls were really there for each other when Logan lost his mind - it could be a good thing. Then again, Maxie isn't about to let go of the fact that Lulu really hurt her sister AND she's still about Johnny. I don't know, it could get interesting though.

Great post! Peggy
