I'm glad, for the sake of your ex, that you were able to do that....but I don't think it is fair to say that if someone is in the same type of situation - or any type of emergency - and didn't do the same thing, that they are an idiot. I know - those weren't your words, so don't jump. I'm not even talking about the Lulu situation...she simply didn't call b/c it wasn't in the script - and would have not caused the drama that they are going for. JMO. The MAIN point is... they could have STILL done the drama WITHOUT making Lulu look like she was stupid or frail or inept or choose any adjective that you want. Lulu isn't stupid, and neither are the fans - isn't it time the writers recognized that FACT and stopped insulting us? So basically you are saying that if someone doesn't call 911 during a crisis that means they are stupid? It couldn't be anything except stupid? Are you addressing this to me? If so, take my reply for what it's worth... It isn't JUST about her not calling 9-1-1. It was the way the whole thing went down. Her not calling 9-1-1 was just the most glaring example of how stupid the WRITERS think we (the fans) and Lulu are. Add in all the other things and it just gets worse. I would hope that my first thought in her situation would be to call 911, so I obviously agree with you there. I do think that calling 911 is the smartest thing to do. BUT I don't see not calling 911 as dumb...I just agree with some of the other posters that sometimes you lose the abilitly to think clearly in a situation like that. I don't really think that fits Lulu's character - I was more talking about people in general. Maybe I'm being overly sensitive!!! Either way I feel kind of bad for Logan....he totally took a knife to the gut or chest - EITHER would be horrible! It was clearly an accident though....I think we can all agree there. I agree - it was ABSOLUTELY an accident - no question. |

You reacted logically, stuffed your emotions, and focused on what needed to be done. However, some people react emotionally to situations. The minute they react emotionally, they have so many different emotions going on, they can't shut them down and focus. If Lulu was the type of person to not react emotionally, she would have called 911. However, she isn't that type of person. How many times does Lulu talk without thinking? That shows that Lulu gets caught up in the emotions of the situation. Basically it like the mother whose child's leg gets cut, the child needs 20 stitches and the mother picks up the child and takes them to the doctor. Compared to the mother whose child skins its' knee, the mother sees blood and freaks. One mother is reacting from a logical part of the brain and the other is reacting from the emotional part of their brain. Neither is a bad mother. It isn't something that can be controlled. It is an initial reaction in your brain rather you react with emotions or logic. You know the right-brained/left brained stuff. Great post. I completly agree. Lulu has always reacted with emotion that is why she doesn't think before she speaks. She speaks from her heart, wrong or not. It's not out of character for Lulu to act on emotions. |

Okay, so Guza WANTED her to be a victim - there are other ways to go about it and still end up with Lulu being the one to inadvertantly kill him in self defense. Gotta part ways with you on the Lulu not wanting to get Logan in trouble angle, too. Just... no... There's no way to spin that without making her look completely foolish. Yes I agree that it was HORRIBLE writing and just a horrible way to have Logan leave the show. They could have had SOO much more storyline to go on but lacked in that area as well. I am not a huge Lulu fan but am finding ways to defend her as she gets SUCH a bad rap. She gets into dangerous situations and tries to fix them, then when she DOESN'T do something to fix a dangerous situation, people STILL harp about it. The gal can't win! |

I was just trying to show how many options Lulu had. Why the writers had her standing there with her mouth open for what seemed like five to ten minutes however time it took for Logan to get there is beyond me. I don't like the way the writers are going with this s/l at all. Lulu is a Spencer why they are making her weak is stupid. The only weak, or dumb ones are the writers. JMO |

The writing was dumb. Lulu isn't dumb. Some may consider the fact she didn't call 911 dumb. But Lulu is by no means dumb. People react different ways in these kind of situations. Lulu reacts with emotion not logic half the time. Plus if the police would of barged in Logan would not be dead and there would be no aftermath. |

I think NoSoup is on to something here....I have been loosely following this thread, but refrained from posting as I'm a Lulu fan.....however, this theory that NoSoup has about "telling their story" seems to make sense! Look at most storylines and you'll see a twisted storyline developing and the characters are all over the place....look at Claudia....the writers can't make up their mind...... For this Lulu/Logan story the writers wanted a murder.....maybe another summer trial....a little legal intrigue....I did like the thrilling suspense of yesterday's scenes, so I think Lulu was not 'thinking clearly' she was acting out the writers best attempt at a storyline.....

I honestly have tried to like Lulu... when I started watching the show I thought that she was this sweet and innocent little Luke Spencer baby - but it did not take long for her to make me insane! I don't know, I just find that Maxie is much more fun, interesting and adorable!! I love it when they get into it at work, haha - Maxie is one that will always go for the jugular. |
