the afternoon episode?

If it is like last season, separate. After all, Night Shift is on soapnet not ABC and it would be confusing to the viewers who just dvr from ABC.

I think this was mentioned before - but I will be danged if I can find the true explanation.
The show's will work in tandem. Same timing, - NS will be a bonus - but you can just watch GH apparently if you don;t have Soapnet.
